*** 4/7/23*** Trading is off for now. Trying to start up a business and shoulder a lot of burdens at the moment. I still check in almost every day at least once, so feel free to message me if you’ve got an idea for a trade that just has to be expressed. I’ll try to respond in a timely manner. Thanks. ***

BASEBALL

  • For pre-war baseball - HOFers, Schoolboy Rowe, Cardinals minor stars, and oddities.

  • For 40s - 70s, any HOFer will do, but of particular interest are Cardinals and Tigers legends - George Kell, Al Kaline, Stan Musial, Bob Gibson, etc., Hank Aarons, Mantles, Clementes, Williams, Frank Roninsons, Reggie Jadksons, Willie Mays., Cards from HOFers first three seasons, and I live vintage leaders cards.

  • For 70s-80s, I am trying to collect sets. Right now my focus is on ‘78-’84, oddball sets too. 79 and 80 Topps is the next sets to tackle after I finish 82. Also need several mid/early 80s Fleer and Donruss sets.

  • For 70s-80s singles, HOFer RCs, ‘84-’87 Tigers RCs and autos, ‘85 Cardinals RCs and autos, And sometimes Johnny Grubbs, Bo Jacksons, and Frank Thomases.

  • ‘90s - limited production sets like Stadium Club charter sets, and First Days, Score Select Certified Mirror Gold, Leaf Limited Gold, ’93 Leaf Studio, ‘95 Bowman’s Best Blue RCs.

  • 2000+ 2000-2002 Limited and 2015 Topps Limited Stars; and key Adam Wainwrights, Albert Pujols, Yadier Molinas, Jordan Walkers, Juan Yepezs, Nolan Gormans, Lars Nootbaars, Ivan Herreras, and Mason Wynn cards. And Juan Soto.

HOCKEY

  • Any HOF RCs from 68-92. For Pre-1990 OPC is preferred, but Topps is good too. I love 80s OPC. For players, Yzerman, Federov, Bure, Gretzky, and Lemieux. Select Certified Mirror Gold, Stadium Club First Day, Leaf Limited Gold. Any bargain vintage HOFer.

BASKETBALL

  • `1980 and 81 Topps stars. 1986 and 87 Fleer stars (and 88 star RCs). Bird, Johnson, Jordan, Dr. j, Charles Barkleys, and Bad Boys Pistons - Isaiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Bill Laimbeer, Dennis Rodman, etc. Any bargain vintage HOFer.

FOOTBALL

  • I’d eventually like to get into the 1986 McDonalds’ regional and national sets. I loved those when I was a kid.

  • I need a handful of cards to finish out my ‘85 Topps, ‘87 Topps. ‘88 Topps, and 89 Topps sets. And I need most of the 1986 set. Condition comparable to Grade 6.5ish or higher for these sets please. I may put together a mid-grade 85 set too, since I am over halfway there with the cards I collected as a kid. For singles - Bo Jacksons, Barry Sanderses, Score Supplemental Emmitt Smith RC, Joe Montana RC, Walter Payton RC, OJ Simpsons.  Any bargain vintage HOFer.

i will send in well-packed PWE if possible - if total cards are less than 27ish. If you are against PWE, just let me know, and I will send via bubble mailer.

3/1/2023:  Currently not trading.  Plan to resume trading later this spring.

Eager to resume trading in 2023 after essentially taking 2022 off.

I collect for pleasure.  My collection focuses primarily on teams and players that have meaning to me and often carry a sense of nostalgia.  When I resumed collecting in 2017, after a 20 year hiatus, I assumed I could attempt to collect everything.  Big mistake.  As a result, my Want List is vast, but my true priorities are as follows:

  • Former Michigan Wolverines.  Basically, anyone who played basketball or football at Michigan since the mid-80s.  Chris Webber and Charles Woodson are my #1a and #1b targets.
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo and members of the 2020-21 Bucks title team
  • Members of the 2010, 2013, and 2015 Blackhawks Stanley Cup teams
  • Alabama Crimson Tide football players from 2005 to present
  • 1990s basketball cards - hoping to complete sets from the Bulls dynasty years
  • Garbage Pail Kids specifically of Pete (Peter, Petey, etc), Harper, and Owen

As far as trading, I try to keep it as simple as possible:

  • Keep shipping costs to a minimum.  Big PWE fan.  Also a fan of the "cereal box" for larger trades.
  • Try to make it cost-effective.  Trading two junk wax commons is not worth the cost of the stamp to me.
  • Try to keep it "fair" (base-for-base, insert/parallel-for-insert/parallel)
  • If your offer consists primarily of cards from the areas in which I am most interested, I will likely accept without hesitation.   Otherwise, I will review your For Trade offerings and counter with cards I would prefer.
  • Happy to trade internationally, but the cards need to justify the added shipping cost

Thank you and happy collecting.

I will be on vacation until August 27th. I'm happy to resume trading at that time.

This site has been amazing in helping me rekindle my love for trading cards. I prefer baseball but do have some moderate interest in basketball and football.  I love to trade! If I send an offer and it's not quite right feel free to counter.

I do PC a few players but am mostly focused on building sets right now.  I'm currently working on:
2022 Bowman Chrome Prospects: 74%
1978 Topps: 89%
2002 Upper Deck: 40%
1997 Fleer: 30%
2002 Donruss Originals 85%

Players I PC are:

  • Carlos Baerga - currently #1 on the site. Trying to get one of all of his cards
  • Chipper Jones - my favorite player
  • Jose Canseco - my first favorite player
  • Rickey Henderson
  • Tim Hudson

I ship most things PWE though bigger trades will go in a BMWT.

My collection consists mostly of baseball and football cards that I pulled from packs in the 70's, 80's & 90's, with some more recently acquired 50's and 60's cards added in. I also have some basketball and hockey cards, but those are not my main focus.

I am a Pittsburgh sports fan always looking to add to my collection of Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins cards, as well as cards of my favorite players from my childhood (especially Al Oliver), and hometown heroes (like Dick Allen).

I am also currently working on completing the 1975 Topps baseball set.

I am open to trading, buying, and selling.

I am not accepting any trades at this time.  I am in a position that I feel I need to begin selling off my collection. I am moving towards selling off my whole collection but I am only posting the higher value cards right now.  If you see something you like, whether its in a collection or on my FS&T list, feel free to make me an offer.  For most commons, I am asking for $0.18 per card, which is the Sportlots minimum price.  I will leave the rest of my profile as is just in case something changes and I don't need to sell everything off.

If you accept an offer from me, I will strive to ship within 24 hours.  I will also try to respond to offers within 48 hours and, if it will take longer than that to pull the cards, I will do my best message you within 48 hours.

I have done my best to list the conditions per the PSA grading scale if I consider them less than EX-MT.  I do not profess to be proficient at grading.  If I think a card is less than EX-MT and it is not marked as such, I will do my best to let you know in the message.

Thank you for taking a look.

I collect just about anything related to the Baltimore Orioles.  My collecting passions include Orioles team issued postcards, team issued B&W 8x10 photos and programs.  I also collect items from the Orioles minor league affiliates from 1954- present, especially programs and team photos.

My Orioles card collection ranges from 1954 - present.  I really enjoy Orioles regional and oddball card sets.  I also collect minor league sets from O's affiliates.

Hello fellow traders. Used to have a long message but cut it down to the basics. When trading, I am looking for NM cards unless we talk about it prior. No writing, creases or banged up corners. Vintage is a bit different as I will take VG-EX or better in most cases. I am looking for the specific variation that you have listed so please make sure or LMK that you are not going to look as you don't care for variations (I get it.) and we will not include it in the trade. PWE or package trades welcome. Will trade PWE to Canada. Please make the trade worth the postage.

I am a METS team collector. (#5 on TCDB) Looking hard for any David Wright (#3 on TCDB) cards that I do not have. But I also build some sets and have my PC players.

Rickey Henderson, Ken Griffey Jr., Cal Ripken Jr., Carl Yastrzemski who were the heroes of my youth/young adulthood.

Also, Will Clark, Buster Posey, Clayton Kershaw, Bryce Harper and Mike Trout as a trade filler as these are not as important at the moment.

LOOKING HARD FOR THE FOLLOWING TO COMPLETE THESE BASEBALL SETS.

1991 Topps master set (1091/1160)

2015 Topps Heritage SP

2019 Stadium Club Chrome Insert set (35/90)

2020 Topps Gallery (187/200)

2021 Topps Gypsy Queen (308/386)

I listed my basketball, football and hockey cards. I do not collect so will trade for baseball or sell. If looking to buy, shoot me a message with what you need and what you are willing to pay for it. No offer is unreasonable, but it may not be accepted.

Update: Temporarily turning off trading due to a heavier work schedule. I will sporadically turn on trading from time to time--just need to slow down the pace of trading so that my trading partners aren't waiting so long to get deals done.

Topps Baseball (flagship 1969-present) and now Topps Heritage Baseball 2018-present along with some oddball/food-issued cards. I'm also trying to complete my sets of older Topps football and baseball (1969-73) in NM condition (sorry for being a condition snob). Always happy to leave positive feedback.

If my For Sale/Trade list has pre-1975 vintage or SPs or serial-#'s cards you want, I will trade them for pre-1975 vintage or SPs or low serial-#'s cards (mix or match) that I need, i.e. a pre-1975 vintage for SP or a SP for low SN or low SN for pre-1975 vintage, then offers will be happily be considered. :)

Recently completed a '68 Topps Game set and reached my goal of 1000 different Roger Clemens cards on TCDB.  Now I'm focused primarily on completing the following sets:

1954 Red Heart

1957 Topps

1995 Topps WWF Pro Wrestling Stars

Also, always interested in acquiring Bill Dillman cards (69 Topps especially).

When trading for vintage, centering goes a long way for me, but I'm flexible.

I am relatively new to TCDB but have been part of the baseball card blogging community for well over a decade. I have over 100,000 cards to trade. Also if you collect matchbooks/matchcovers, stamps, or bottle caps (including MLB/NFL caps from the 60s) I have some of those to trade, especially the matchbooks which I also collect.

PLEASE NOTE: While my modern cards are almost all mint/near-mint, the condition of my vintage cards vary greatly. Some are in quite good shape for their age; many more are in good/fair/poor condition.

ALSO NOTE: For the time being I will usually only be mailing out all packages, including PWEs, once a week, on Saturdays.

For my TCDB wantlists, first priority is my vintage Topps setbuilds. Second priority is the modern cards that I have on there. Lowest priority is the 2017-present Topps setbuilds. For now, for TCDB, my primary focus is completing my 1973 Topps set. I do collect everything baseball, so even if you don't have cards that are on my TCDB wantlists, you will probably have plenty to trade that I would be interested in . . .

Any and all Braves cards from 1954 - Present (RIP Hank Aaron).

I have decided to scale back from trying to collect every Braves card ever made and concentrate on the the sets I like. Lately it seems to be next to impossible to collect team sets since there are so many inserts, VAR, SP, and just all to many brands. Topps has once again turned collecting into $$$ for them by making so many different brands. The cost to collect is getting to be very expensive and making me question the hobby again. I still plan on trading and looking for the cards I am still missing.

Willing to trade just about anything for Braves cards......

I have been trying to do the impossible and collect the entire 2016 Topps and Update Sets. Any help would be appreciated!

I DON'T SO SMALL TRADES WITH VERY LITTLE VALUE. THE CARDS AREN'T WORTH THE COST OF SHIPPING TO ME.

UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED, I ASSUME PWE IS ACCEPTABLE FOR SMALL TRADES. THANKS!

Very active trader, always willing to discuss a deal.  I've had many successful tranactions already, and continually working on more!  I like trading/buying/selling. I have 10's of thousands of cards, they're just not all organzed as I buy large lots at a time. I plan on adding more cards weekly.

As far as what I collect, I focus primarily on the following players:

Barry Sanders, Charles Woodson, Tom Brady, Derek Jeter, Ty Cobb, Al Kaline, Larry Bird and then to a lesser extent, Grant Hill, Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Fab Five Wolverines, Alan Trammell, Lou Whitaker, Bo Jackson, Steve Yzerman, Nicklas Lidstrom and Michigan football and basketball alum.

I'm always willing to look at offers. Please be patient though, as I don't always respond quickly, but I will respond one way or the other.

***Please do not send trade offers that rely on prices from the site to establish fair value***

Thanks!

I am just recently back into this hobby in 2022, mostly as a way to connect with my sons through sports. Since then we have had fun getting into it. It is a lot different than when I was a kid. I am in this just to collect what I like, regardless of monetary value, and to connect with my boys as we find cards together of our favorite players. It has been awesome helping them to learn about new players now that they are old enough to enjoy sitting and watching the games with me, and cards have become part of that and we love it. So for now, these are the players we are looking for.

Baseball: Bryce Harper, Ken Griffey Jr, Bo Jackson, Julio Rodriguez, Fernando Tatis Jr

Basketball: Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Shawn Kemp

Football: Bo Jackson, Randall Cunningham, Barry Sanders

Going forward, all trades will probably be PWE, unless otherwise discussed. If higher value cards, I will do BMWT...just don't assume, as our "value" of cards may differ. So if you require BMWT, be sure to communicate that as part of the deal so we are both happy!!!

FYI - I work 12 Hr night shifts in stretches of several days. This can sometimes make it difficult to get things sent ASAP. Sometimes it may take me a few days after accepting a deal to get it in the mail. Thanks for your patience.

I love trades. I'm happy to sell. I'm very unlikely to buy.

I am not very picky about condition for my PC. I always appreciate a heads-up, but its very unlikely to be a deal-breaker.

My card collection finally feels like it has a direction.

Focusing on Hall of Famer Rookie Cards, with auto is a plus.

Still have Personal Collections, preference towards non-base, of:

  • Randy Moss
  • Thurman Thomas
  • Reggie Miller
  • Mario Lemieux
  • Random Insert/Subsets from 90s
  • West Virginia Players Rookie/Autos

However, that means I’m looking to downsize significantly. Everything on my sale list OR own list is up for trade or sale. But obviously if I haven't listed it I prioritize it a little higher.
Make an offer!

My preference is to trade many many commons for even single want. Let me know if your interested in a lopsided deal (as far as # of cards)

I have a bunch of vintage sets to my for sale list  let me know what you are interested in and we can work something out! I’m having a lot of trouble valuing these mentally, but I’ll listen to your thoughts as well.

If you're ever unhappy with the cards you receive, let me know and we can work something out. I try not to send anything out that I wouldn't be OK receiving so let me know if something slipped through the cracks.

I love this site and community!

Looking to complete Yankee sets from 1980s to present.

I’ve been collecting cards for over 47 years and have over 489,000 unique cards in my main collection, including some nice vintage stuff.  I collect older cards of the four major sports but lately I've been expanding to some more recent sets.  I'm primarily a Set Builder and I’m looking for other like-minded set builders to trade with.   I’ve accumulated tons of extra cards that I would like to trade away with almost 250,000 cards in my current For Trade list.  Big trades don't bother me. I have a huge Want List, so hopefully you have something I need.  Feel free to make me an offer.

For Canadian Traders: It's expensive for me to trade across the border.  Going forward I would like to limit cross border trades to two (2) PWEs. That's about 54 standard-size cards.  Thanks.

For Anyone Outside US/Canada: The increased postal rates have made it impossible for me to trade outside North America cheaply.  So going forward I will have to decline trades from outside US/Canada.  Sorry about that.

Update on Donruss/Leaf * Variations and Upper Deck Holo Variations:
I can't guaranty the junk wax era Donruss/Leaf cards and the UD holo variations are listed with the correct variation.  Going forward I will no longer check the variations on these cards.  If you want these cards regardless of the variations, feel free to request them in the trade.  Howver, If you want a specific variation of these cards, I'm no longer your guy - please don't put them in the trade request.  For all other cards that have variations, I will contniue to check and make sure you get the correct one.

Note on Vintage Cards:
I have over 6,000 vintage cards listed for trade (I consider vintage to be 1977 or earlier).  For each card I've noted a condition grade and if you check closer, a note on each regarding any condition issues (be sure to select the correct one if multiple cards are shown).  Please note that I'm by no means a professional grader and if you're hyper-sensitive on card condition, please message me first and I'd be happy talk about it.  In exchange for these cards I have three priorities:

  • 1) similar vintage cards that I need (any sport)
  • 2) inserts for my 90s sets that I need (any sport)
  • 3) or non-junk era base cards that i need as a last resort (any sport)

Note on Card ConditionA card noted as Pr, Fr, Gd, or GdVg will have some obvious condition issues such as creasing, corner wear, or marks.  I would consider them place holders in a collection at best (I've listed them because some people do want place holders).  A VG card will usually be a clean card with some corner wear or a centering issue.  For me, VG would be the bare minimum for my personal collection.  EX will be nice sharp card and VgEx will be something just between VG and Ex, still a nice card with a small issue that prevents it from being EX.  NM in vintage is a tough find.

I just got back into the hobby in 2021 after a 20+ year absence. I collect sets over players or teams. My current number of trade matches seems pretty limited. My "official" want list is definitely my focus. However, I'd consider trades for the players and teams listed at the bottom if you don't have anything on my want lists.

I will sell anything on my for sale/trade list in lieu of a trade. I'll also consider trading cards in my collection of "Singles" if it's for a card on my want list. Individual cards in my collection of "Sets" are unavailable in trade although I do have 2 complete sets available for sale/trade. The "Pending" collection represents sets I may consider collecting at one time but not right now. I suppose if a deal is close, I may consider something from that list.

I'm not opposed to larger trades. I'm open to anything if it's cost effective to do so. Keeping within the same card "class" probably makes the most sense - commons for commons, stars for stars, inserts for inserts, era for era, etc. Everything I'm interested in is '90s or later so I expect near-mint or better condition. You can expect that from me too unless otherwise noted.

I primarily collected basketball and that's mostly what I have available. However, I find myself open to collecting baseball cards and have listed some from that sport below too. I don't mind a cross-sport swap if you don't.

For small quantities, I plan to ship PWE unless requested to send differently. I do plan to add additional cardboard protection inside that PWE. For large quantities or high value, I'll ship in a bubble mailer with tracking. Pictures of anything you want from me are certainly available. Communication from both parties on the finer points of the transaction is key.

I get emails for all new messages so I will respond even if it appears that I haven't logged into the site in a while. However, I'm usually checking in at least a few times a week.

Players: Larry Johnson (Hornets), Michael Jordan (Bulls), Scottie Pippen (Bulls), Dennis Rodman (Bulls), Toni Kukoc (Bulls), Steve Kerr (Bulls), Anfernee Hardaway (Magic), Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash (Suns/Mavericks), David Robinson, Alonzo Mourning (Hornets), John Stockton, Grant Hill (Pistons), Glen Rice (Heat/Hornets), Damon Stoudamire (Raptors), Marcus Camby (Raptors), Michael Finley (Suns/Mavericks), Frank Thomas (White Sox), Mark Buehrle (White Sox), Paul Konerko (White Sox), Ray Durham (White Sox), Ryne Sandberg, Ken Griffey Jr. (Mariners), Greg Maddux (Braves), Roy Halladay

Teams: Chicago Bulls (Michael Jordan era through Derrick Rose era), Chicago White Sox ('90s or later)

Random: Cards with Michael Jordan on them that aren't his own (Jordan cameos) https://www.tcdb.com/List.cfm/lid/10873/Jordan-Cameos

My Story 📖

I got interested in sports cards in like the late 80s. I was already a huge football fan, growing up watching FSU (I lived outside of Jax, FL at the time). I then somehow zeroed in on collecting just Jerry Rice and Patrick Roy pretty quickly. I lived across the street from a mall and it had card shows all the time.

My mom saw how much I enjoyed collecting and decided to join me. She was at all the card shows and shops with me after all. She collected Jordon (no idea why, she didnt even watch basketball), Nomo (cause she needed a Japanese pitcher), Mighty Ducks (cause she loved the movies), and Jax Jaguars (cause we lived near there). She has passed and most of her collection is listed For Trade/Sale.

I got out of collecting in like 2001ish, adulting sucks. My passion has returned and I found this site! I'm looking forward to seeing the cards I add!

8/24/2023 - UPDATE: I've done quite a few sales following my prior note.  Thank you to all who sent proposals.  I am turning trading back on, but will definitely still consider selling to anyone who is interested.  Thank you!!

Came across tcdb.com towards the end of 2019, and I have now completed over 1,400 transactions, with over 22,000 cards changing hands!  Love everything about this site.  I have met so many cool people from all over the Country, and even a few from Canada and beyond. (Just completed a trade to Finland, as a matter of fact).

Stole this from another member, but......my goal is to have zero cards in my For Sale/Trade List.  So keep the proposals comin'!

(I know my Want List is relatively small, so I am certainly willing to Sell cards if we don't have enough matches to work out a trade)

My PC list is as follows (with TCDB rankings as of 9/28/2023):

NBA: Giannis (5), Dirk Nowitzki (4), and Tim Duncan (2).

NFL: Sterling Sharpe (3), and Don Majkowski (2)

MLB: Aaron Ashby (1), Roberto Clemente (1), Jackie Robinson (2), Robin Yount (8), Tony Gwynn (6), Hal Morris (3), Mark Grace (7), Ethan Small (1), Pat Listach (1), Corbin Burnes (1) and Mark Langston (1)

WWE: Lita (4)

UFC: Conor McGregor (4)

Non-Sport: Eddie Vedder, Judah Friedlander, Big Jay Oakerson, The Brothers Osborne (TJ & John), Rob Riggle, Bert Kreischer, Tom Segura, Charlie Berens, Post Malone and Brody Stevens

Although I currently live in Florida, I was born in Milwaukee.....hence my obsession with Wisconsin sports teams.  Ha.

Please check out my For Sale/Trade list, and feel free to message me or send me trade proposals any time.....let's see what we can get done!  (I don't necessarily trade based on "book value", but rather the value to me, so please feel free to counter if I propose a trade that you feel is unfair.  I also have no rules about "insert for insert" or any of that nonsense, so don't be shy to shoot me a proposal)

Lover of all things baseball and avid card trader.

First and foremost a baseball vintage set collector (1980 and earlier) with my daughter, but we also enjoying opening packs together so secondarily a current baseball set collector as well.

Happy to trade baseball for baseball, and trying to trade all non-baseball cards to make room for more baseball.

For the most part, when trading baseball for baseball, we would like to trade vintage for vintage, junk wax for junk wax, current for current, etc.

Dot-vars: We are listing variations accurately for trade, but not collecting different variations.  Adding all variations to our want-list to "cast a wide net" but only collecting one variation of each card.

Since I've been asked where our username came from... my daughter picked it for our geocaching name years ago and wanted to carry it over here.  Pretty simple.

Happy to post pictures of cards for trade for any trading partners that need.

***Constantly updating our want/trade lists so please check back for trades.

I keep up with the Topps and Donruss base baseball sets.

I also enjoy collecting oddball baseball sets.  My current focus is on the following:

  • Starting Line Up cards (not the figures)
  • Sponsored team sets like Mother's, Police, Fire Safety, Kahn's, Coke, etc.
  • Updating my Hostess box panel cards (individuals)

I am always looking for cards that I do not have of the following Hall of Famers.  Serial numbered cards less than 100 are not on my want list but I am still interested.

  • Frank Thomas (White Sox only)
  • Carlton Fisk (Red Sox or White Sox)
  • Ernie Banks

PLEASE READ

CARD CONDITION

I have removed all recent cards that are not NRMT or better from my inventory.  ExMt or better from 80's or earlier.  Anything less than ExMt will be specified and discussed before mailing.  In turn, I ask that you do not send me anything that does not meet these criteria.

POSTAGE

I will send all cards in plain white envelope (PWE) unless agreed otherwise or if card values are high.  Mailing more than 18 cards may be split into separate envelopes.  I always buy postage at the post office and get a receipt so I have some kind of verification.

Single cards will go out in a toploader.  Multiple cards will go in a 9 pocket sheet, folded and placed between more rigid cardboard.  The goal is to keep it thin to keep it cheap and avoid package charges.

TRADING

I use Beckett pricing to even up trades.  If you look up prices on Ebay or COMC, sell your cards there.

I have moved again and have decided to turn trades back on. Trading cards are not my first priority though so be patient as I get back into the hobby.

My focus is going to be on completing sets from 1993 back. A note about the Topps sets from 1976-1980. I am building duplicate sets for 76-78 and four sets each for 79 & 80 and would make trades for near complete sets if this is un anybodies interest.

Again, I appreciate trade offers but caution you that they may take some time to fill.

Happy trading,

Hal

These are the sets I am currently focusing on:

Starter Sets for 52-58 and 60-67 would be lovely.

UPDATE: SEPT 1, 2022:

I am recovering from COVID at the moment.  I have temporarily shut off trading.  Will open back up when I'm healthy.  Thank you for your understanding.

Set collector first & foremost. I also like to work on PCs of various Angels: Wally Joyner, Mike Trout, Reggie Jackson, Rod Carew, Tim Salmon, Jim Abbot (Angels only). I also collect Bo Jackson, Jeff Huson, Rod Woodson, Steve Alford, & Martin St. Louis.

Quite happy with PWEs.  Please avoid scotch tape on anything.

I come and go with the seasons in the hobby.  If my status is set to not accept trades it's because I tend to get burned out from time to time.  Don't be shy though, please feel free to message me especially if it's that last card you might need to complete a set!

Primarily Baseball: Set Builder & Player Collector in the 80's and 90's and there a few sets that I am seeking to complete.  Really enjoy the odd-ball stuff upon my return to the hobby.  Many duplicates for trade.  Still working on cataloging many 1980-1993 Topps, Donruss, Fleer, Score, Bowman and Upper Deck cards as I built sets from wax/cello/rack packs with very little help via the trade.

Some Football:  Built sets in the 80's and have some duplicates to trade.

Some Hockey:  Built sets in the early 90's and have some duplicates to trade.

Some Golf:  Built 1981, 1982 Donruss Golf  and 1991 Pro Set.  Some duplicates for trade.

Some Basketball:  Not sure exactly how I acquired most of these cards and most are for trade.

Some Multi-Sport:  Not sure exactly how I acquired most of these cards and most are for trade.

Some Racing:  Built a few sets in the early 90's and have some duplicates for trade.

Some Non-Sports:  Built sets in the late 80's and Early 90's and there are a few that are incomplete.  Have some duplicates for trade.

I've been using TCDB to catalog my collection, fill sets, and exchange unwanted cards for singles that fit my various PCs (listed below) I don't have a large tradelist but I am very active in offering small 3 to 16 card PWE trades to users who match with me. I almost always mail out cards in a PWE within 24 hours of agreeing to a trade, and I will happily ship to Canada, Australia, and any other country if the trade is worth the postage.

📌 Open to selling cards

I tend to collect cards of the 90s, all sports and non-sport, which is owed just as much to the designs and finish of the cards of that time as it is nostalgia for the players and teams of the era.

Condition: I don’t think anybody out there has all mint cards, but if there is a card in your trade list only because it is too rough for you, consider that others may feel the same about owning said card and let them know what issue/s it has.

Collect mainly football cards from the 1980's and early 1990's (Topps, Fleer, Pro Set, Score). I collect mostly for fun and I am attempting to complete sets for each year. I am open to receiving trade/buy offers for cards on my For Sale/Trade list as well as offers to trade/sell cards to me that are on my Want list. All offers will be seriously evaluated and I will respond to all offers as soon as I can.

      • Any condition, preferrably PSA; primarily looking for cheap, low-grade commons

Any cards that I have that do not meet the above criteria will be removed from my collection. As of right now, I only sell on COMC (and I don't see that changing). I just don't have the time with my lifestyle (working 40-50 hours a week, plus coaching three baseball teams) to pull, package, and mail trades, or even mail my own sales. I do enjoy sending PIFs and typically check wantlists here before sending a box to COMC for consignment. If I'm looking for something specific and notice you have it FS/T, I may reach out to try and make an offer. I don't expect to receive any proposals, and would rather send someone a few cards from their wantlist and get nothing in return than try to hash out a deal.

I do have cards listed FS/T; they are available via COMC, listed in my "COMC" collection, and can be accessed by following the External Sales Link on those cards. I don't have them in my possession, so I can't do a trade with you. However, I want to see these cards go to people who really want them. If you see something you like, send me a message on here and let me know - the price will come down, and I'll even take a bit of a loss to get you cards for your collection. I keep my prices more in line with what is currently offered on COMC, but I'll certainly be wiling to negotiate, especially with a TCDB member, as these are typically higher than what these cards are truly worth, in my opinion.

All baseball cards to build sets.  I'm not into buying multiple players as investors and discourage trades with people who want multiple cards of superstars or rookies. I will gladly trade one of each but not multiples of the same card,

I have complete sets starting with the '51 Topps Red Backs, '52s except the last series, then '53 through current "base sets" except for a few dozen total.  I'm trying to fill in those few by trading, so if you have something I don't, please suggest a trade.

Again, If you're an investor looking for superstars and rookies, please look elsewhere for trades as I prefer to save those cards to serious collectors who need those cards to complete their sets.

I have football, basketball, hockey, soccer and other cards to trade and am working on getting them all loaded into this database.  Feel free to message me with your wants even if you don't see them listed.

I also have some complete sets (hand-collated) available for sale:  Please make offer on each.
  Topps 1986
  Topps 1987
  Topps 1988
  Topps 1989

My collection is one that sparks joy to me. I have no rhythm or reason to it, each card brought joy to me and so it was added to the collection. My want list is cards that spark joy for me. My Want List is being re added to and will grow greatly over the next few weeks/months.

This hobby is my saving grace! I found it as a way to help my anxiety and the friendships I have made in this hobby are amazing! I truly appreciate everyone in this hobby!

I look forward to doing lots of trades here and getting these cards in your mailbox and collection where they belong!

One of my binder projects is a Topps Twins project and am mainly needing the vintage now, I am happy to add cards with character aka poor condition for the vintage cards. This project is to tell the story of the decades and what better way than to have character to the cards. That's for the vintage, I don't want 1990s cards that are rounded edges and ripped up.

My collection is valued at how much I'm smiling at the end of the day :)

Topps and Topps Update Photo Variation SPs are my main PC.

I've collected nearly 900 in a little more than a year. Anything you see on my Trade List can be had for SPs. I will gladly trade dozens of base cards or inserts for any photo variation I don't have, whether it's a Mike Trout variation or a Franklin Barretto. If I don't have it, I want it.

Willing to buy SSPs if we can't work out a trade. Also, please message me if there are cards on my Trade List but we don't have matches. I'm sure there's something we can work out. I'll sell most commons for $0.05 each.

Only paying via PayPal G and S unless you have a proven track record on the site.

***Mailing***

Anything I can easily and safely package in a PWE will be sent in that manner. Larger trades or those including more valuable or larger cards will be sent First Class with Tracking. These decisions are made at my discretion. I take a great deal of pride in delivering quality cards. If I send something PWE, you can be sure it is secure and well packaged. If there is anything wrong with anything you receive me, please let me know immediately.

Hello!  I bought my first packs in 1973 and found a card of my favorite player Mickey Lolich.  I was hooked and started building sets each summer.  Took a few years off now and then but always found my way back.

PC baseball set builds I'm enjoying right now:

  • 1959 Topps  500/572   87%
  • 1960 Topps  402/572   70%
  • 1964 Topps  Giants  25/60   41%
  • 1965 Topps   160/598   26%
  • 1966 Topps   587/598   98%
  • 1970 Kellogg's  69/75   92%
  • 1971 Kellogg's  52/75   69%
  • 1972 Kellogg's  53/54   98%
  • 1972 Kellogg's ATG  12/15   80%
  • 1973 Topps Checklists   3/24   12%
  • 1971/72 Topps Hockey   131/132    99%
  • 1972/73 Topps Hockey   172/176    97%
  • Plus many more sets on my want list...

I love trading so please don't hesitate to initiate a transaction.  Not much of a seller, really prefer to trade.

Trading Guidelines:  1)  Looking for EX or better in 1967 and earlier, need NRMT or better in anything newer as these are likely upgrades.  2)  I'm open to trades of all size, from 1 card to 1,000+.  3)  The number of HOF/Superstars and key rookies should be fair, not looking to trade my HOFs for commons.  4)  I try to accurately identify variations but check with me if you seek a specific version of a card.  5)  Condition of cards:  1979 & newer are mostly NRMT, 1978 and earlier include childhood cards and vary in condition.  I am in the process of entering grades for all cards in these years.  Feel free to ask about specific cards.  I always pull cards before accepting a trade and will inform you of any condition exceptions.

🇨🇦 I Welcome trades from my friends in Canada 🇨🇦

P.S., I still have the original Lolich card from the summer of '73 and that dupe is not for trade.

***If you are offering a trade and you see I need a '53 Topps card that you have, I am most likely not interested in trading for it, as I am collecting a graded set and just use the wantlist to keep track of what I still need.***

Chipper Jones, Derek Jeter, Tony Gwynn, Ozzie Smith, Kirby Puckett, Vlad Guerror (Sr.), Don Mattingly.

Players from Delaware including Mason Fluharty (my cousin), Zack Gelof, Jake Gelof, Delino DeShields, John Mabry, Chris Widger, Randy Bush, Chris Short, Ian Snell, Joey Wendle, and others. University of Delaware athletes in UD uniform. Tennessee Volunteer football players in UT uniform. Duke basketball players in Duke uniform.

Cards on my for sale/trade list typically consist of the following conditions (I will let you know if an individual card is in worse condition):

2020-2010 - Fresh out of the pack, typically NrMt

2000-2009 - Ex-Mt to Nr-Mt (may have a fuzzy corner or show a little bit of edge wear from being in a box, especially if the card has a dark colored border)

1988-1999 - Cards from when I was a kid. Some may have some fuzzy corners or edge wear from being in a box. If the wear/damage seems significant I will let you know once I pull them.

1981-1988 - Some may have some edge wear, fuzzy corners, may have a dinged corner. Others may be straight out of the pack. I will let you know if there are any serious issues.

1980 and older - I typically include the condition. Most of these cards are EX at best. Some are a lot worse. I can send photos if you are interested, just ask.

I don't typically pay attention to centering unless it is really bad. If the card is legitimately miscut and you can see another card on it then I just throw it out and it won't be listed here (with the exception of some vintage stuff).

I prefer to trade my non-baseball for baseball cards, as I'm trying to focus my collection and reduce the space it takes up.

I ship PWE unless it's too many cards to fit or there's a card of significant value.

10/24/23 EXPERIENCING MEDICAL ISSUES AGAIN. WILL STILL ACCEPT TRADES, BUT MAYBE NOT AS FAST AS YOU NEED ME TO, SORRY. SOMETIMES I JUST HAVE TIME TO LOGIN BUT NOT WORK ON TRANSACTIONS.

2023 IS MY 55TH YEAR OF COLLECTING, AND MY 9TH YEAR ON TCDB.

I THINK I HAVE EVERYTHING MOVED AND IN PLACE TO BEGIN TRADING AGAIN. I HAVENT BEEN ACTIVE FOR ABOUT 8 MONTHS DUE TO MOVING. I TRIED TRADING IN THE SUMMER OF 2022 BUT HAD TROUBLE FINDING THE CARDS. I APOLOGIZE TO THOSE WHO ATTEMPTED TO TRADE WITH ME AND IT DIDNT WORK OUT.

TOP PRIORITIES:

1. 2022 TOPPS BASEBALL SERIES 2 AND UPDATE

2. DETROIT TIGER AND LION NEEDS

3. TOPPS HERITAGE, ALL YEARS

4. 2023 TOPPS BASEBALL WHEN THEY COME OUT

I PREFER TO TRADE WITH JUST USA TRADERS AT THIS TIME. I WORK ON TRADES AS RECIEVED, AND ATTEMPT TO CONTACT EACH POTENTIAL TRADER TO LET THEM KNOW WHAT PHASE THEIR TRADE IS IN.

SO, THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE, TRADING IS OPEN.

I GUESS I NEED TO ADD THE FOLLOWING DISCLAIMER....I HAVE SOME HOF CARDS, AND SOME CARDS FROM THE 60'S AND 70'S. I PREFER TO TRADE THOSE CARDS FOR SIMILAR TYPE NEEDS. I PROBABLY WILL NOT TRADE HOF OR OLDER CARDS FOR NEWER GYPSY QUEENS AND ARCHIVE OR HOCKEY CARDS. SO, IF I TURN DOWN YOUR TRADE, PLEASE DON'T TAKE IT PERSONALLY.I AM PASSING ON CANADA TRADES AT THIS TIME. IT COSTS TOO MUCH AND THE DELAYS IN RECIEVING THE ITEMS IS TOO LONG. SORRY, NOTHING PERSONAL.

Note:  Be patient with transaction response!  While I've enjoyed trading and I appreciate all the offers and the help folks have provided, I find myself rather buried between adding My Collection cards and my dups to For trade and responding to offers in a timely manner.  I am trying to ease back in as I've gotten at least a little bit organized.   Total organization is clearly beyond me!

As one of the lucky ones whose Mom did NOT throw away my childhood card collection, when I started back interested in the hobby in the  early 1980s, I had a lot of late 50's early 60s cards to work with.  Completed my 1961 card set, except for the hard-to-define, yet alone find, errors and variations.  Working on 1959, 1960 and 1963 Topps sets although cost is a deterrent for many of the cards I'm missing!    Trying to complete the inserts of 1961:  Stamps, rub-offs, and World Series pennants.  Working to complete1955 Topps All-American, 1955 Bowman and 1957 football sets.  Trying to get a card or autograph of every player of the Milwaukee Braves and possibly of Phillies in the Vet era.  Also interested in Negro League players.

I collected in the late 80's. Then completely shut down for 30 years. Pandemic provided me an opportunity to return to my collection spring 2020. I had 72 complete sets--Topps regular and traded sets from 1980-1996, and all of the other brands during that era, includiing the 1984 Fleer Update set.  In 2020 I sold the entirety to a LCS. The only cards I retained were personal card collections for Puckett and Sandberg. I sold my Sandberg collection of 450 cards in 2021. My only focus is the Puckett collection (currently #2 on TCDb)-- 1,500 different KP cards. I am willing to buy or trade. For the most part, my only traders are Puckett cards and some MN Twins issued team sets from 1985-1986-1987.

I am primarily a Topps baseball set collector trading for cards which (mostly) will be added to my personal collection...one that hopefully one day will be passed along to my kids to continue this awesome hobby.

I am currently reviewing the sets I have so I can list upgrades, so I will likely be adding to my wantlist frequently.

My biggest goals for right now are to finish my 72-76 base sets. Of course, I am always looking to add to my sets from years prior to that.

I am trying really hard to find several cards from the 2001 Fleer EX baseball set, including the Behind the Numbers inserts...only a few to go, but they just don't show up very often.

I have a good deal of cards from other sports, gaming, and non-sport genres to pass along.

I have no problem trading modern for vintage and vice versa, as long a the perceived value is pretty fair.

Lots of cards to trade/sell, message me if you are interested!

******** For all late 70s/early 80's cards on my Wantlist, I am looking to upgrade cards with bum corners, marks, wax stains, etc. I am looking for NM cards from this era in most cases. ************

Trading for and buying Red Sox (and Boston Braves) cards from 1951-1977. Also a few Bruins, Patriots, and Celtics cards, as well as 1968, 76, and 77 Topps baseball sets. Also working on completing my 1991 Topps set.Adding cards to for sale/trade list weekly. I have baseball, some football and hockey to trade, mostly from the 80s. I love trading, and no trade is too small, so make a reasonable offer and I'll consider it.

If I have something for trade but you don't have anything on my want list, please contact me and we'll figure something out. I want to help you complete your collection.

Of the cards on my trade list, the newer the cards, the better the condition. I've tried to mark the ones with the worst issues, but it's time-consuming to mark them all. Ill ask befor I send you anything questionable. In the other direction, I care most about condition for my Boston collections; the sets I'm collecting vary a lot in condition.

Primary focus is Topps Baseball.  My main goal being the 71 set.  I'm also big into Star Wars.  Don't have much on my want list but I'll never turn down star wars cards I don't already have in my collection.

My son and daughter are both big into different non sports (Pokemon, Mars Attacks, and anything political) and boxing.

If it's on my want list I'm willing to trade for it.  Shoot me an offer.

Collect baseball Hall of Famers and notable players from the 70s/80s but am interested in all eras of baseball. I am not a set builder and enjoy helping people build sets. I will give a lot of commons for pretty much any cards on my wantlist so if you are looking to complete a set please ask for as many cards as you need. My collecting priorities are.

1. Players/cards from the 70's - early 80's. These are the players I grew up with and know the best.

2. Players/cards from before the 1970's. If I had an extra million $$ I would probably spend it on cards from this era because I have little to nothing to offer in trades for cards of this vintage.

3. Junk wax era cards, which I basically consider to be 1985 -1995 because that was when I was least interested in baseball.

4. Modern cards. I am just not interested in serial numbered cards, parallels, one-of-ones and all the other ways card companies manufacture scarcity to feed the business of collecting. With the exception of Topps Now cards. I love the idea of seeing something happen on the field and then ordering a card of it the next day. Current players I actively collect include, Zack Greinke, Joey Votto, Bartolo Colon, Andrew McCutchen, Max Scherzer, Roy Halladay, Ichiro Suzuki and Bryce Harper because he's is still the best thing the Phillies have going right now.

I try to be careful of condition. I note condition issues where I can but have not yet gotten to most of my traders. If not noted I will check with potential trade partners on anything that is worse than EX or EX-MT for newer cards. I also try to keep my lists accurate but have given up on ever getting it perfect. I apologize in advance if there is something on my trade list that I don't actually have.

All offers considered but prefer to trade like for like - i.e. modern for modern or vintage for vintage.

I prefer big trades (50+) to small trades but am happy for any and all offers. Shipping in PWE is fine with me.

Trading off for now, to do some more re-organizing.

Working on completing Topps Baseball sets 1960,1969, and 1970.   I have complete sets from 1971 to 1981 But I need to upgrade some as I sort through them.

Also working on modern base sets and some inserts as they catch my interest.

Trying to complete Reds team sets from any year, have most of the 70s covered and am working backwards.  Have a good start on the 60s.  Partial Reds sets from 1980-2020 are sitting in boxes waiting to be sorted.  I have alot of reds duplicates including specials/inserts for former reds stars (Bench, Morgan, etc,)

Have some misc. items I have accumulated that I will try to list like basketball cards, modern baseball.

Still working on updating my collection in the database.

Update after 6 months on site (joined on Thanksgiving 2020; couldn't host or travel that day due pandemic lockdown)

I continue to be impressed by the membership here.  100 deals completed, and only 2 with issues (1 wasn't delivered due p.o. imcompetence, trading partner made it right immediately; and another trader didn't fully describe item with a major flaw and then sent incorrect cards but made up for it after a 2 month wait).  All partners I've dealt with show commitment to shipping quickly and doing drama-free deals, and I sincerely hope that continues!  Haven't yet completely decided how to handle vintage card deals, it just seems easier to deal with modern stuff so there are no disagreements regarding card condition which can get sticky at times.

Near term direction and goals:  finish 1 Topps Heritage set (2016 Trout SP where are you), add Mike Schmidt needs to wantlist, add wants in 2002 Topps 206 and 2003 Topps 205 mini sets (non-polar bear backs) and complete 2009 Topps 206 mini set with all Piedmont-back SP variations.

The most enjoyable trades I've found were with individual team 'super collectors'.  I've got enough oddball stuff going back to the early 70s that I can usually find something they've been in search of for a while, and I enjoy the dig!

PLEASE NOTE: My FS/FT may be a bit inaccurate due to a couple of transactions outside TCDb.  Please don't let that stop you from trying to work a deal though. I'll confirm that I have all of the involved cards before I accept a proposal. However, I do apologize in advance if I am unable to find a particular card that you're looking for from my list for a trade/purchase.

Let's make some trades!
------------------

Anything I have available in my FS/FT list is absolutely for sale.

------------------

About my collecting goals:

I am primarily focused on building vintage baseball sets. (If it's a vintage baseball card not on my want list, I might still be interested.  Just ask!)
Many modern cards on my wantlist, especially the Donruss puzzle pieces, are very low priority, but that doesn't mean that I'm not interested in trading for them.

Trade proposals:

I try to make fair and balanced trade proposals.  However, if I make one that seems imbalanced, please know that it wasn't intentional. I am always happy to review and consider counter-proposals. I am always looking for opportunities to "get to a 'yes'" when working through a potential trade. Some trade proposals just don't work out for one reason or another, and that's OK.

I will try to respond to all trade proposals in some form or fashion: a message, a counter-proposal, etc.  I respectfully request the same courtesy from other members.

I am happy to see if we can work something out, even if you don't have something from my wantlist. I'll often look at cards that are available on someone's FS/T list to see if there is anything I can use as "trade bait" in exchange for something on my FS/T list that a fellow collector has on their wantlist.

Card condition:

Conditions of cards, especially vintage, can vary. Regarding card condition, I generally don't like using the letter grading scale (e.g. Ex, VG, G, etc.) because those terms mean different things to different people. (Even the professional grading companies can't agree on what specific terms mean.)

I've tried to note my collection with any egregious condition issues (such as a marked checklist or very poor card condition), but sometimes I might have missed making specific notes here or there. If you are looking for specific condition of a card (especially vintage), please DESCRIBE what you are looking for such as "no creases/writing", "no marked checklists", or something similar.  It will help in trade conversations; I'm also more than willing to send photos of my cards. (If you have Twitter, that's an easy way I've found to swap photos and chat about a trade discussion. If you don't have Twitter, I will usually provide links to photos of the cards involved in a trade if requested; i usually use PostImages to share links to photos of cards involved in a trade.)

Regarding incoming vintage cards, I'm generally seeking to avoid cards with any major blemishes such as creasing, paper loss, writing, etc. Some corner/edge wear is generally OK as long as it's not too extensive.  Centering is generally not an issue unless the card is miscut. I will sometimes make condition exceptions on star cards that might make good placeholders.

For modern cards, I'm looking for NM/M condition.

When in doubt, exchanging photos is helpful. For easy photo sharing, I recommend using https://postimages.org/

    ---------------------------------------

    I also collect memorabilia from:

    • baseball (especially HOFers, current/former Dodgers, Giants, Yankees, and/or Angels)
    • football (SF 49ers)

I'm a set collector.  I'm working on completing all of the Topps Baseball sets from the 1970s.  I've completed the '70, '76, '77, '78, and '79 sets, and I'm really close on '73 and '74.  I'm at varying stages of completion for the others.  I'm also working on completing various sets from the 80s and 90s junk wax era - mostly baseball, but some football and basketball. I love trading!  I usually trade vintage for vintage and modern for modern, but I'm willing to consider anything reasonable.

Print code variations drive me crazy!  I know that some of you collect all of those variations, but I don't care about them.  Some of my cards are recorded with the correct variations, but others aren't.  If you care about the variations, I'm happy to verify that they are the ones you want - just let me know.

I've interacted with so many great people on this site, and I thank you all for that.  It's really fun to collect cards and to help you get the cards you want.

Red Sox (#8 on 8/3/23) and Hall of Famers (current and future!)

    • Set collecting:
      • 1957, 1965, 1971 and 1972 Topps sets. I'll take anything in any condition if the trade is fair enough. I just like the design of the cards and I am hoping to accrue as many as I can before it gets too impossible to complete.
    • I am interested in any Red Sox card that I don't have. Exceptions to this are all the dot/no dot and/or letter variations from the nineties, as I only really need one version of those.
    • My cards listed for trade are at least NrMt unless otherwise noted. I try my best to grade cards using a few sources (Site 1Site 2, Site 3), but will let you know if there's a surprise when I pull the cards for trade.
    • Please let me know if there are any notable condition details with cards, especially if vintage. I will try to ask when proposing/considering a trade as well.
    • I try to trade pre-80s cards for other pre-80s cards if possible.
    • If a card is marked as an autograph (AU) with condition "Ex" on my For Trade/For Sale list, that means it's a hand-signed, through-the-mail (TTM) autograph. Open to any offers for these cards if you're interested!
    • I am willing to trade any non-Red Sox autograph in my "Other Autographs" collection for any comparable autograph of a Red Sox player that I do not have an instance of already.
    • I usually trade using a PWE (plain white envelope - thanks AnalogKid) for up to 27 cards, but let me know if you prefer a different way to send cards. If more than 27 cards, I either go with 2 PWEs or a bubble mailer.
    • If you see something on my For Trade list but we don't match up well, let me know. I'm sure I can try to make a swap happen!
    • This is a great site. Thank you for trading!

Note: '88 - '92 Donruss, '91 - '92 Stadium Club, and '92 Leaf variations on my FT/FS list are up to date.

Cardinals Baseball any year any brand

Some Vintage Topps Baseball Set Building (in any condition).....

Also doing 9 page project of John Riggins (Football/Redskins), see want list, can use dupes of some.

Memphis Grizzlies basketball added to want list recently.

I have NOT separated my traders into dot and no dot variations (or letter variations).  If this matters to you, I do not mind checking for a particular one for your want list...

I do expect nm or better condition on 81-present cards (unless agreed upon lower condition in messages)  On vintage, I collect any condition except on upgrade lists.

If you do want to trade vintage, please be clear on what your condition requirements are....many of my extra vintage are in lower conditions..

Completed 2714+ trades with 617 different traders (in multiple groups) since 2005

Have lots of wants on my web page, not on this database

Everything in dupes collection is available for trade even if not in trade/sales list

I can only ship on weekends ....

Some of you may be frustrated that I turn off trades, but here is why:

I am in multiple trading groups, and simply do not have time to do more than 1 or 2 trades at a time

I am open to offers if you want to buy although my primary focus is trading.

Due to some space constraints and needing to down size, I would love to sell off some of my cards listed on my For Sale / Trade List.

I have completed hand collated sets, tons of base cards and a lot of inserts and parallels.

Let me know what you would be interested in .

If you do have something from my wantlists I am interested in trading in your favor.

Still looking for Mike Sweeney & Bobby Murcer I don't have.

If you have any Mike Sweeney or Bobby Murcer cards to trade, please click on my separate collections to see what I have and what I am looking for.

Always up for a trade but also willing to buy and sell. My wantlist is still very much a work in progress and really only reflects my highest priority wants. If there is something you want from me and you don't have any matches with my wantlist please feel free to message me and I will try my best to find something we can make work, vintage commons in good shape are always useful.

Listing the condition of the cards in my for sale/trade list is not something I plan on doing as I prefer to send pictures and let people judge for themselves due to the subjective nature of conditions. 1974 to present will usually be in the EX range or better with some exceptions, after that my trade list is more of a mixed bag as it is mostly the cards that fell short of my condition standards for my own sets. I will always try my best to be up front about the condition of the cards you'll be receiving.

Prefer to receive pictures of incoming cards for every vintage trade.

My main focus is vintage set building and finishing my 1970's run, for those sets I am only looking for cards that are ex+ or better. I also collect Cuban items and PC the guys listed below:

    Keith Hernandez

    Gary Carter

PC - John Elway. Also looking to fill holes in the sets I collected when I was younger, and trying to build the Topps baseball sets I missed out on when I stopped collecting for a while. Just recently started to build a collection of Texas Rangers Topps base parallels.

To get the most for my postage buck, I'm trying to keep my trades to either: 1.) - less than 20 cards or so (which will go out in PWE's), or 2.) - larger than 50 which will go out in bubble mailers. Also, unless they're something which I'm really interested in, I'll pass on trades of only 2 or 3 cards going each way.

My collecting started in the 1950's and has grown through many ups and downs.  I became discouraged in 1980 when all the card manufacturing companies started creating numerous sets and subsets with so many variations.  The New York Yankees have been my collecting interest.  As a young boy, it was my goal to collect every card issued for a Yankee player.  Much like my stamp collection that I inherited from my grandfather, I knew that some items would be out of my price range yet never was there a time when the volume of the collection became a question.

When I attempted to pick up my sports card collection in the 1990's, I was struck by the people who were speculators in the sports card buying side of the collecting.  Those who stop in a card shop, purchased a hobby box manufacturer's brand, opened the packages, removed only the cards listing in the Beckett monthly pricing magazine as value cards, and left the remaining cards on the counter.

Recently, returning to all the sports cards I have accumulated over the years, I discovered a yearning to reduce my collecting to an enjoyable level and try to do something with all the other cards.  Searching the internet lead me to Trading Card Database.  I signed into the program and was very pleasantly surprised by the database.  I am a new user of the database and still learning.

My collecting interests are as follows:
    Baseball: New York Yankees - Topps base set {all years}
    Football: Jacksonville Jaguars - Cards of all manufacturing brands {1995 thru present}

I will consider trades for cards of either team.

Thank you for viewing my profile and hope we can create a trade!!!

I'm a set builder - Topps Regular from 1960 to present. I also sell my duplicates on eBay but would prefer to trade to fill out my want list. I prefer cards in excellent or greater condition (no creases, stains, rounded corners, etc.).

My goal is to obtain cards to build out my sets for the enjoyment of collecting and I plan to pass my collection to my son. I'm a Yankees fan living in Texas and long-time season ticket holder for the Round Rock Express, currently the Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. I also occasionally enjoy attending Astro's games.

I like to be as responsive as possible in trading.  Cards for accepted trades will be mailed out within 1-2 business days. I always leave feedback and appreciate the same from trading partners.

Due to the limit on how many cards that can be placed on the wantlist, if you don't see it in my collection then I want it.

I DO NOT trade from my Collection unless there are two of the same card that you are needing.

As of right now My Trade list is turned off while I try and finally get organized 9/22/2023.

    February 2022 update:

So my efforts to focus on hockey as much as possible over the past 16 months have failed miserably. There are just too many really nice baseball (and a few football) sets to collect. I am a sucker for vintage look and feel (Gypsy Queen, A&G, Heritage, Archives). I am also pretty keen on inserts and a few parallels.

If you have any of the following, let's talk:

    Hockey:

    • OPC Retro parallels

    Baseball:

    • 2019 A&G Hotbox Gold parallels
    • 2021 Gypsy Queen Green parallels
    • 2021 Topps Archives Big Foil inserts

I've been having a great time trading around the world - looking forward to keeping the good times rolling in 2022!

I began collecting cards in the 1970's while growing up. Kind of got back into it in the 1980's and began collecting complete sets. However, after about a 25 year pause from collecting, in 2021 I decided to sell most of my complete sets and concentrate on Detroit Tigers along with some PC favorites.

PC - Al Kaline, Bill Freehan, Kirk Gibson, Alan Trammell, Jack Morris, Lou Whitaker, Curtis Granderson, George Brett, Pete Rose, Nolan Ryan, Johnny Bench. If any of these cards are not on my WL and I do not have it, I am interested.

In January I added some football cards for trade. However, I do not want football cards in return, only baseball.

In March of 2022 I decided to set a goal of obtaining at least one card of every HOF. Reprints and Turn Back the Clock type cards are fine to fulfill my list. Always looking for a trade for these cards that I do not have in my HOF Collection. Many of these I have 2 to 4 cards on WL so I have a better chance of getting a match. However only looking for one unless it is some HOFers mentioned in my PC.

In regards to variation cards, I am not concerned about it. I typically put both on my WL with the intentions of getting one or the other. Once I receive one, I remove the other(s) from my WL. Thus, if they come up in a trade, no need to check the variation for me.

Generally speaking, my cards from 1979 and earlier that are for trade, I am hoping to replace with cards on my WL in the same time frame. Cards from 1980 to present for trade, for cards on my WL from that era.

Ideal trades are from 10-25 using PWE for modern cards. Less cards for vintage works. However, there are always exceptions!

If I make a proposal I do not have a problem with a member declining it or making a counter. However, I do appreciate a short response why.

Trading: A minimum of 12 cards going each way unless there is a true gem / vintage in the trade. PWE acceptable but prefer large trades of 250+ cards in each direction. Please confirm that you actually have the cards before Accepting a trade; I always do the same at this end. Vintage for vintage; HoF/stars for same; inserts / parallels for same, all as much as possible. Priority are vintage, OPC and sets on my UserLists. Having tried to offer cards from these lists will increase the chances of my Accepting a trade; totally disregarding these and offering me 12+ commons from a set that I am so far from completing that they do not make the list is more prone to being Declined, especially if I see you have cards for trade that are on my lists.

    ------------------------------

Stats: As of 31 December 2022:

Wants OPC Baseball: base sets 1965-1994 + 1981 Grey Backs and 1990 white stock test issue parallel - 344/13,896 cards (2.48%).

    Wants Topps Baseball: base sets 1951-2022 + 1952 Black backs, 1954 Canadian, 1975 mini parallel, 1993 & 1994 Gold parallel - 3,139/48,529 (6.47%). Breakdown by decade: 1951-60 - 1,191/3,816 (31.21%); 1961-70 - 1,041/6,135 (16.97%); 1971-80 - 408/7,721 (5.28%); 1981-90 - Complete; 1991-2000 - 70/7,856 (0.89%); 2001-10 - 148/6,986 (2.12%); 2011-20 - 3/6,841 (0.04%); 2021-22 - 278/1,320 (21.06%).

    Trading/PIF/Purchases on TCDb:

    2022 - 231 + 7 still In-Progress; Cards Sent - 13,922 / Cards Received - 13,530

Total since being a member: Cards Sent - 72,236 / Cards Received - 63,682 (# of trades really doesn't matter to me as it can be misleading to the quantity of cards have come and gone).

Sets completed through Trades/PIF/Purchases in 2022 - 85 sets including 38 base sets.

    ---------------------------------

    2023 Goals:

    1. Re-organize my Oddball / Food Issue Baseball sets. First attempt February 4. Will see how that works.

    2. Reduce OPC base set needs to less than 300.

    3. Reduce Topps base set needs to less than 2,700 (including the 2023 base set issue). By decade, 1950s to less than 1,000; 1960s to less than 900; 1970s to less than 300.

    4. Trade over 10,000 cards going each way.

    5. Complete 75 base / insert / parallel / oddball sets.

**Trade requests closed until i catch up and/or get back from vacation.**

Hey, I apologize if i dont respond to your trade requests promptly.  Since the pandemic started, I am in the process of reorganizing my collection to make it easier to find cards for trade, however I try not to mix multiple boxes out of storage at a time.  I'm trying to look at trades but do not want to accept until I know I have the cards in hand.  If the trade is a few days old, I will reach out if the trade is still on the table before accepting.

Also I am not trying to use this as an excuese but I have school age children and work 2 jobs so those things take precidence over the hobby.  That said I will try to respond as quickly as possible but sometimes life happens...

Canada and overseas traders.  i'm up to trade, but as you know customs costs are rediculous for baseball cards.  I'm willing to do PWE sized trades only.

**Not trying to beg for sympathy but my ex wife is trying to take my kids from me.  so i've been working a ton of overtime to pay for leagal fees for this fight.  sorry if i dont reply promptly.  this is a HOBBY and stress releif for me to sort and inventory cards. I am usualy on daily to add new cards to my collection and such but dont always have a huge window to look at, pull and reply to trades. i dont want to turn trading off but am trying to make time to respond.**

    *** 10-14-23 TRADING IS OFF ***

I'm taking a break from trading to add a ton of cards to my For-Trade list. Getting close! Be back soon.

    I'M COLLECTING

    • Baltimore Orioles, Washington Capitals, and Baltimore Ravens.
    • Topps Baseball Sets: Focused on completing sets 1954-1968, 1977, 1982, and 1997-2023.

    TRADING

    Overview

    • I love to trade, but if I have more than 10 trade transactions going at once, I will momentarily turn off my incoming trade proposals to let the trade queue clear out before turning it back on. I don't have the time between family and work to fulfill that many trades at once, especially large trades, and also enjoy this hobby. I thank you for your patience and understanding.
    • I have 32,600+ cards listed to trade (I don't list multiples). As a Topps set collector, fair bulk trades are welcome.
    • I prefer to trade with fellow team collectors and/or set builders to help out their sets. Common for common cards. As a team collector and set builder, there are way too many common cards on my want list making it difficult to line up a one-for-one trade for inserts, hall of famers, etc... in exchange for commons. Nothing against hall of famer, insert, or investment traders, but our interests don't line up easily to make fair one-for-one card trades.
    • I look at the red/green numbers as a contributor to "value". High red/low green numbers mean the card is in high demand. Low red/high green numbers mean the card can easily be obtained by traders on here. There are many cards on my for-trade list where I'm the only active trader offering them (cards typically asked for are the Fleer stickers, Drakes cards, and other inserts). Take the red/green numbers into account when proposing your trade. I could really care less what the price on here says or that those high red/low green numbered cards were abundant during the 80s. If they are hard to get on here, that means something.
    • I'd like to stay within the same decade for vintage trades, 50s for 50s, 60s for 60s, and 70s for 70s. For 80s and later cards, it's not as important. For example, I'd like to trade away my 1970s cards to complete my 1977 Topps set.
    • Let's communicate to make sure both parties have all of our cards available and in acceptable condition BEFORE either of us commits and hits the "Accept" button.

    Grading, Condition, and Variations

    • All pre-1970s cards in my for-trade list have a grade assigned regardless of condition. Post-1970s cards will have a grade assigned only if there is something drastically wrong with the card (way off-center, fuzzy corners, crease, wax stain, spots, etc...). I'll report all flaws after pulling cards and before accepting an incoming proposal from you. I'm open to sharing photos of cards if requested. Photos are preferred for vintage trades. I grade based on the PSA standards located here: https://www.psacard.com/resources/gradingstandards.
    • For 50s-60s vintage cards coming my way, I'm OK with cards having slight wear. However, I'm not interested in cards with tears, heavy scuffs with surface damage, writing, heavy creases breaking the surface, severely rounded corners, holes, wax stains, or part(s) of the card missing. Everything later than 1980, I'd expect to be near mint or mint condition. Again, I'm open to exchanging images of cards to verify condition, especially for vintage cards.
    • I make every effort to select the correct card variations within the database. If you are a variation collector, please ask and I will double-check that the variations are correct for you. I wear reading glasses and can make mistakes on those "dot-no-dot" cards. For me, the only sets that I'm concerned about receiving the correct variations for are the 1981 Fleer and the 1991 Topps sets that I'm trying to complete master sets of.

    Trade Sizes and Shipping

    • To make a trade worth the postage, I'd like to stick to trades of more than 15 cards going each way unless the cards involved are higher than common in value or vintage cards.
    • 24 Cards or Less: Plain White Envelope (PWE), unless you prefer otherwise.
    • 25 to 48 Cards: Two PWEs (because getting TWO envelopes full of cards in the mailbox is better than one!).
    • 48+ Cards: Team bags in a plastic bubble mailer, or a 200ct to 500ct card box. All larger trades will come with a USPS tracking number shared with you in a transaction message.
    • Work pending, I try to mail out as soon as possible. When work is crushing my soul, I will let you know mailing is delayed. Apologies in advance.
    • U.S. trades only, with the exception of PWEs to Canada. Shipping large trades outside of the U.S. is too expensive.

Thank you for reading my profile and stopping by!

    HAPPY COLLECTING!

I'm a collector, NOT an investor, and I deal solely on that premise.

I have my valuations and ANYTHING vintage (i.e. up through 1979) is considered more highly than anything newer.

I have tons of Wants from the overproduced late 1980s to early 1990s and I am looking to trade within that era for those, but I will go cross-sport, and will try to match HOFers, Stars, or Commons as much as possible in a card-for-card trade.

Mostly I'm a "You got gaps; I got gaps; together no gaps" type trader, BUT because I have plenty of oddball wants, I do not trade those for base cards (or even inserts in most cases). For example, I have plenty of Kellogg's cards, but I prefer trading them for other Kellogg's cards (or other food issued cards) from similar eras.

I ACCEPT lower conditioned creased and worn cards, but I wish to be told about them. The only flaws that I'll decline would be significant paper loss on fronts, markings or doodles that are excessive, or severely cut/torn cards. In those cases I'd still like to see scans to determine if they're acceptable. (I do NOT expect your condition requirements to be like mine.)

I vow to send securely and economically with VARs confirmed and condition issues noted or explained:

    1. At least 18 cards going each way in a PWE.
    2. Trades involving up to 90 cards will be mailed in medium to large business envelopes without tracking.
    3. Larger trades will be sent in most economical way possible (obviously with tracking).

Focusing on These for Now (And the only ones which I'll consider in trades smaller than the 18 minimum from above):

    • BASEBALL
      1. 1975 & 1978 Topps
      2. 1989 & 1991 Donruss Grand Slammers (master sets)
      3. 2001 Upper Deck Decade 1970s (base and related inserts)
      4. Any Topps Heritage New Age Performers
      5. Any food issued sets
    • FOOTBALL
      1. 1966 Philadelphia
      2. 1968 Topps
      3. 1987 Topps
      4. 1994 Ted Williams Roger Staubach's NFL (base and related inserts)
      5. 2009 Philadelphia
    • HOCKEY
      1. 1971-72 & 1978-79 Topps
      2. 1987-88 Topps
      3. 1989-90, 1990-91, 1991-92 Kraft sets
      4. 2001-02 Topps - 1971-72 Heritage
      5. Any food issued sets

I rarely wish to trade vintage cards for newer cards--like to stick with same eras in a trade.  However, if you see some of my newer cards and have vintage to offer--I would definitely take a look at that.

Vintage HOFer cards no matter what condition.  Looking to collect at least one card for every MLB HOF member.  Currently at 305/335 collected.

Not collecting anymore. Getting rid of all my cards.

If my trading is turned back on, it's only to list what someone wants to get from me, not for trades.

It's been fun, but there comes a time for all good things to come to an end. This is my time.

Love to trade!  I don't send out trades PWE but am fine with receiving them.  I trade by BV utilizing Beckett for baseball (I have a subscription) and TCDB prices for other sports (unless you have other sport subscriptions at Beckett).  Minimum BV of a trade for me to receive is $5.  Additionally, at this time I am limiting my trading to those located in the U.S.

We are a husband and wife who collect cards together! Our collection is mostly baseball with a little football and basketball. We have a long ways to go to get our full collection up. We love trading cards and helping other collectors complete their sets or PCs. We are willing to listen for trades or purchases for anything in collection if the price or trade is right! The # of cards and era doesn't always have to match for it to make sense.

SHIPPING - We try to send out cards within 1-3 days of accepting a trade. Lately, we've been a little busier so I may be shipping mostly on weekends. I use PWE with lots of protection and sometimes use bubble mailers.

    MAIN PC's

    #1 - Jonathan India

    #9 - Joey Votto

    Ted Williams

    Roberto Clemente

    Jackie Robinson

    Ichiro

Outside of those, we enjoy collecting many players..

Other Current Reds Players & Prospects such as Elly de la Cruz, Allan Cerda, Matt McClain, Jay Allen, Andrew Abbott, Luis Castillo, Tyler Stephenson, Hunter Greene, Austin Hendrick, Rece Hinds, Nick Lodolo, and so on!

MLB Rookies, Future MVPs, & Prospects such as Luis Robert, Fernando Tatis Jr, Juan Soto, Bo Bichette, Jazz Chisolm, Andrew Vaughn, Vlad Guerrero Jr, Bryce Ball, Peyton Burdick, Triston Casas, Cal Conley, & Brady House.

      Other Sports/Colleges:

      • Tennis - Novak Djokovic & Serena Williams
      • Football - Dak Prescott, other Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals
      • Colleges - Players that attended Clemson or Tennessee (hence the name TigerVol)

      My Collections--

      TCDb Trading--

      • For trades, when selecting cards from my want list, I prefer base set cards over parallels or inserts in order to complete team sets.
      • Open to any trade offer, just looking for equal value on both sides and cards from my Want list.
      • I'm most likely going to use a PWE (Plain White Envelope) to send trades unless the trade is for >28 cards or higher in value or you let me know otherwise before the trade is agreed.  Thanks!
      • I'll trade my few football and basketball cards for cheap if you want em!
      • I have a complete set of 1981 Donruss Baseball I got as a door prize that I wont take the time to completely add to my FS/T list.  If you want it, let me know and we'll work out a good trade for you.
      • FYI-- When adding new cards to my FS/T list, Ive decided to stop worrying about a lot of minor variants from the early 90's, such as the Donruss "." variants, Upper Deck hologram variants, and various copyright code variants.  If you want a specific VAR in a trade, please ask at the time of the trade and I'll make sure I've got the one you need.  I worried about it for a long time so most are entered correctly.   Thanks for understanding.

I have been donating or selling most of my collection. I have not had time to update the database currently. If there is something of interest and I still have it I will trade for it or maybe even just send it out. I don't check in often but do check in so feel free to send a request for a trade.

**I recently added all my extra Twins cards, 1961-1980, to my trade list.  These cards range from very nice to very poor condition.  If you are interested in trading for any of these cards, I will describe them as best I can before I accept a transaction proposal, and I'll be happy to text or email you a picture of the card(s) you are requesting.**

After 8 years on the site, I finally decided to expand my profile.  As my user name suggests, I am a collector of all things Minnesota Twins, and Kirby Puckett is the top player I collect.  Whenever I pick up a Twins card, the hunt is on to complete that Twins team set.  I currently have well over 4,000 Twins team sets, cataloged in 50 binders, while several hundred more team sets are a work in progress.  It is a great feeling finishing off a team set, finding that last card that sometimes took years to locate.

A note about trading:  Even though they may show up on my wantlist (I try to delete them whenever I see them), I am generally not interested in all the variations (dot or not dot, one or two asterisks, Copyright D or E, etc.), unless they are Puckett cards.

I am currently ranked #1 in TCDB for Twins cards.. My top ten Twins cards are (with current TCDB ranking):

      • 1.  Kirby Puckett (4th)
      • 2.  Joe Mauer (4th)
      • 3.  Torii Hunter (3rd)
      • 4.  Harmon Killebrew (2nd)
      • 5.  Justiin Morneau (5th)
      • 6.  Byron Buxton (1st)
      • 7.  Chuck Knoblauch (2nd)
      • 8.  Rod Carew (3rd)
      • 9.  Miguel Sano (1st)
      • 10.  Kent Hrbek (3rd)
      • 34.  Tony Oliva (1st)  I added Tony because he was my favorite player growing up.   What a thrill it was to see him go into the HOF!  I see him every year at spring training.  What a great gentleman and ambassador for the game!
      • I also dabble in Vikings cards, but now that they have disappointed me again, I'll probably ease off but feel free to offer me any Vikings cards I don't have.

      Hi All,

Just dumped most of my collection, and only am collecting Heritage.

Don't have much of anything to trade any more either.

Someday I hope to get back in the game, but not anytime soon.

Looking to only buy at this time.

I will miss you all and this great community.

      Thanks for looking!!

      Priority of my want lists:
1 - Any and all Phillies cards (almost anything not in my collection is a "want")
2 - Various set ventures (baseball - 1972 Topps, 2016 Topps Chrome, Archives, Heritage sets, then hockey sets)
      3 - Baseball HOFers (1980s)
      4 - Baseball HOFers (1970s)
      5 - Baseball HOFers (1990s)
6 - Baseball HOFers (other decades)

If there are any other categories of want lists, they would fall between set completion and HOFers.

I added approx. 90,000 cards available for trade in early 2023.

[The next section has been updated on 10/25/2023]

      Note: Currently transactions are OFF.

When I have transaction requests turned on, trade proposals will be handled in the order in which they are received. I am continuing to take it slow because I don't have the time or patience to take on too many trades at once. Additionally, I have found that it makes it easier on both sides because the cards are known to be available. And please, when we do trade, please make it so that the postage to/from your location to mine makes a trade worthwhile for both of us. Thank you.

Please also note that I am very much open to selling in addition to trading. If you see stuff you want and don't have anything in return, that's okay. We'll work out a deal that will be fair for both of us, not just me (and not just you, please). (The listings over at the SwamiLee account are in my possession and I am also selling those. The only sport left there is baseball.)

Thanks for reading my profile. I enjoy trading cards I don't need for those that I do. I've been in this hobby for many years (I remember opening 1955 Bowman packs at our local candy store)! I usually don't pull my end before making a proposal; most times, I'm trying to get a feel for how doable it is, and it saves me from having to refile cards if things fizzle out or if I'm countered.  I will, however, (usually) pull before accepting a trade.  Please counter, if need be!  Communication is key to good trading!   I have some physical limitations..it may take me a bit to pull cards so your patience is appreciated!

      1.  My top priority is completing sets.

      2.  Recent Phillies teamsets and inserts.  I do multiple teamsets to help local Philthies Phans!

      3. Older Phillies teamset needs..all brands.

As mentioned, I love to trade, will reluctantly sell ... cheap, if we cannot swap!  PLMK what I have that you can't live without!  Phillies is my team, through thick and (mostly) thin!  PWE trades are great and assumed unless we agree otherwise - bubbles used if worth the shipping costs!  Slowing down though - the old body won't let me hoss those 5000 count boxes too much - thanks in advance for your patience with me!!

UPDATE: I have turned off trading for the time being. This is not because I don't want to trade, but rather because I have less and less time to keep my lists up to date and keep up with the trades. And, because it is not fair to those of you who have sent trade requests that I have missed or haven't gotten to. My apologies to those of you who fall in this category. If you are interested in a trade, rest assured I am too. But, until things slow down a bit, send me a message on here or on Twitter first.

I started collecting baseball cards as a kid in the mid to late-80s and collected them through the early 90s. I started out collecting them with my old man, and I look back on those days wistfully. We'd sit up at night and put together sets and lists of our missing cards and that was a great thing to share with him. At some point, though, I outgrew wanting to share that experience with him, choosing instead to share the hobby with my friends. Then I started to notice girls and found other things to spend money on. I boxed up all the cards and traded the innocence of collecting baseball cards for other, less wholesome pursuits.

At some point over the course of the next 2 and a half decades, I somehow outgrew the nomadic life, became an adult, got married, found a permanent place to live, and jumped on the wildest ride of my life: fatherhood. In a fit of cleaning out my old room to make space for her new grandkids (my sister's kids at the time), my mother transported all of the cards from my childhood bedroom and brought them to live with me. To the attic they went, and in the attic they stayed for the better part of the last decade, hidden away and silent.

While working from home during quarantine, I repurposed the attic into a makeshift office to hide from my two kids, who were also at home, and who, despite my and my wife's best efforts, have no conception of privacy or quiet, and care very little for anyone else's productivity--especially when it comes at the expense of their most immediate desire. Stuck in the attic, armed with a laptop, and facing long days of working in solitude, there sat my baseball cards staring back at me, summoning me from a place and time long since gone. In a moment of sports deprived weakness, I answered their call and opened up a couple of boxes to look at my old collection. Glorious!

Within days of our local economy's soft reopening, I found a local card shop, escaped my attic, drove to it, donned a mask, and walked in to buy some new cards. I quickly learned that the days of the $0.50 pack had passed me by--quite a while ago it seems. Undeterred by the effects of what seemed to be hyper-inflation in an economy I had ignored for some 27 years, I left with not one, but two BOXES of baseball cards. Upon opening up the many packs of new cards, I discovered the advent of the insert card's prevalence, and that, unlike unicorns, autographed cards actually DO exist in packs (helllooo Pete Alonso!). Fascinated, and in need of boxes in which to store the cards and toploaders in which to protect them, it was back to the card shop for me. A couple of carboard boxes, a few bags of penny sleeves and some toploaders just couldn't be the extent of my second excursion. So, much like an addict in search of a fix, it was another box of cards for me.

But, this new lifestyle of big spending on cards I knew nothing about would prove to be unsustainable as my wife and I are also tasked with feeding, clothing, and sheltering (in place) these two children we created. Alas, it was back to the attic for me, and back to shuffling through all of my old cards, sorting out the commons from the hall of famers, sorting out the steroid users from the clean players. Thus, a new collection was born. Hall of Famers. Those are the cards I want to collect.

But, I needed a mechanism for organizing what I had, and what I wanted to get. When I bought my last pack of cards as something other than a novelty back in 1993, the internet was not yet a thing, at least not one to which I had access. I thought: Surely there is some mechanism online to help me organize these cards, and give me reason to continue sorting through this mess. And, after minimal searching on the worldwide web, I discovered TCDB. What a brave new world this is.

I look forward to getting back into the hobby. But, for now, I am going to stick to trying to collect Hall of Famers, mostly vintage (which, I have learned, is now a word in this industry that describes me). I'm less concerned with a card's grading, centering, corners, or condition than I am with the name and face on it. I'm not in this as an investment; I'm in it for an escape. Hopefully when this little 2 year-old ages a few more years, he'll begin to enjoy collecting baseball cards as much as his old man did once upon a time. If so, I hope to bequeath to him a worthwhile collection and to share the experience with him for as long as he'll have me.

I live in Arizona now, but was raised and lived most of my adult life in the Chicagoland area, so I am a true blue Chicago sports fan!
After having taken many years away from card collecting, I've gotten back into it (finding TCDb was a huge perk!) and I'm finding my groove.
My collection focus is as follows:
      1. I will always take Gary Bennett cards. (Currently, #1 TCDb collector of Gary - I played baseball with him growing up. Just fun to collect!)

      2. I will always take Nico Hoerner cards - especially ones that I don't already have (Currently #1 TCDb collector).

      3. I enjoy building sets:  I am trying to complete the 2021 Topps Gold parallel (with the /2021 on the back) set

      4. If they are inserts that are on my want list, and I have something that you want, I'm sure we can make a deal.

      5. I have numerous SP variations that I've decided to move - in return, I"m looking to acquire nicer Nico Hoerners or Nico autos.

I ship almost exclusively in PWE - unless its a large trade that warrants a padded larger envelope.

I am meticulous in packaging. Let me repeat, I am meticulous in packaging.
My process for packing cards is as follows:

Cards are penny sleeved. Then I cut 'cereal box like material' to fit the envelope I'm using. I then securly tape (w/ blue painters tape) the sleeved cards 'sandwiched' between 2 pieces of cardboard like material to 'protect' the cards. Lastly - and maybe the most important step, I write:  'Photos: Do Not Bend' on the front and the back of the envelope.
I've now completed nearly 300 trades (via TCDB and FB) without 1 single issue.

Ideal trade size is about 6-18 cards.

I typically try and stay within era, if possible.  However, I have an immense amount of 81' 82' and 83' Topps that I'm willing to trade cross era.

Temporally suspending trading to focus on my health. Sorry. Thank you to all that have traded with me! I hope to be back up to snuff soon.

I primarily collect KC Chiefs cards past and present. Even if it's not on my wantlist, if it's not already in my collection I may be interested.  There are so many parallel and variations out there I may not take the time to mark them all in my wantlist.  Everyone wants the chiefs right now. This is a new problem i never thought i would have.  I can promise you, if you trade me a chief it is going to a caring home. I am not trying to flip and make a buck. If I get a duplicate mahomes I give it to a brother to squirrel away for his kids. If i do get yet another dup of the same card it i make it available for trade.

Aside from the Chiefs I am also interested in cards of Barry Sanders, Ken Griffey Jr, KU Jayhawk basketball alum, and KC Royals. Maybe an occasional Dallas Cowboy if it'll round out a trade, 70's-90's and current.

I have a few sets in progress that I focus on periodically. Some of them are older sets from the undesirable 90's.

      GO CHIEFS!

Shipping: I am open to pwe trades or padded envelope. It often depends on the number of cards being traded and of course their value can play in to the decision. In any event, I'm open to discussion on a trade by trade basis.

Players working on for old-time's sake:  Desmond Howard #2 on TCDB!  Christian Okoye, Barry Sanders, Warren Moon, Al Del Greco.

Sets working on for old-time's sake:
1996 Ultra Sensations parallels and inserts (Base Set and Blue complete! Marble Gold/Pewter on my wantlist are slim pickings on other members' Trade lists now.  If you have expendable Marble Golds or Pewters in your collection, I'd love to hear from you!)
