I began collecting cards in the 1970's while growing up. Kind of got back into it in the 1980's and began collecting complete sets. However, after about a 25 year pause from collecting, in 2021 I decided to sell most of my complete sets and concentrate on Detroit Tigers along with some PC favorites.
PC - Al Kaline, Bill Freehan, Kirk Gibson, Alan Trammell, Jack Morris, Lou Whitaker, Curtis Granderson, George Brett, Pete Rose, Nolan Ryan, Johnny Bench. If any of these cards are not on my WL and I do not have it, I am interested.
In January I added some football cards for trade. However, I do not want football cards in return, only baseball.
In March of 2022 I decided to set a goal of obtaining at least one card of every HOF. Reprints and Turn Back the Clock type cards are fine to fulfill my list. Always looking for a trade for these cards that I do not have in my HOF Collection. Many of these I have 2 to 4 cards on WL so I have a better chance of getting a match. However only looking for one unless it is some HOFers mentioned in my PC.
In regards to variation cards, I am not concerned about it. I typically put both on my WL with the intentions of getting one or the other. Once I receive one, I remove the other(s) from my WL. Thus, if they come up in a trade, no need to check the variation for me.
Generally speaking, my cards from 1979 and earlier that are for trade, I am hoping to replace with cards on my WL in the same time frame. Cards from 1980 to present for trade, for cards on my WL from that era.
Ideal trades are from 10-25 using PWE for modern cards. Less cards for vintage works. However, there are always exceptions!
If I make a proposal I do not have a problem with a member declining it or making a counter. However, I do appreciate a short response why.
