Elton Brand is my all-time favorite NBA player. He is from my family's hometown of Peekskill NY and I began following his career while he was still in high school. He became my favorite player though because of who he is, the fact that he is a hometown hero means I just got to learn about him before everyone else. He was the #1 pick in the 1999 NBA Draft, and played for the Bulls, Clippers, 76ers, Mavericks and Hawks before returning to the 76ers. He played until the 2015-16 season and is now leading the Delaware 87ers G-League team. This gallery will be cards of other people that he appears on, either his teammates or playing defense. I know there are more, which I will eventually add, but the idea just occured to me to create this list in November 2017 so it will take me some time to look through all of my collection and find the rest.

This list was created in order to facilitate an extraction of past winners of the Funny Caption Contest held weekly on TCDB.

A complement to my leading scorers list, this one tracks my attempt to collect autographed cards of the top 25 goalie wins leaders of the 1980s. Win totals are based on the 11-year period from 1979-80 through 1989-90.

Sets in my collection which are exactly one card away from completion. That darn Jordan fellow shows up a disproportionate number of times, usually with the result that the one card I'm missing is worth more than the rest of the set combined.

I have stated many times I liked the hobby better when it was all base set collecting, no "hits". Yet, I would probably be sad if they went away. (Hypocritical, I know).

There is something special about pulling a patch card. When they started doing relics in 1996 they didn't do patches, and when they started introducing patch cards, they didn't make a big deal about it...if you got one, that was great, but it was just considered a jersey card. That didn't last long, and they soon became the de facto parallel for relics.

For the NBA, patches come from the player's name, the team logo, the number, or the tag. (But NOT the borders around the arm or neck holes) For NASCAR it comes from the sponsor patches or the driver's name. I've got quite a few patches, so I thought I would share them in a List.

I couldn't think of a better name for the list. Sometimes second or third generation athletes appear on cards from their parents, then grow up and get cards of their own. If you know of any others please let me know, I will add them, unlike most of my lists which are more to track my collection. Only cards that were issued when they were kids, not later issues.

Larry Nance won the NBA's first Slam Dunk Content in 1984, defeating Julius Erving in the final with this iconic windmill jam that I am guessing has been reproduced on cardboard more times than any other image.

A great Rookie Card list that includes Hall of Famers, Fan-Favorites, and just players who had excellent overall professional careers. Recommendations for this list are welcome!

Here's my collection of T207 Cubs. I have the eight that are realistic to get. The other two in the set are virtually impossible to find, expensive short prints.
This set is displayed on a large velvet "C" surrounded by black roses and trimmed in red like a baseball, with blood-dripping, hand-painted label. You know, because these cards are creepy....

I LOVE this "set."

Retired Numbers are displayed on the wall of outfield stands.

Just for fun I decided to track how many cards I get via trade in 2019. Most will be with Database members but I am also active on the NASCAR only forum and several Facebook groups...might try to get back onto SportsCardForum at some point as well.

There have been at least 22 players from Sac State play in the NFL. Apparently only 8 have cards.
Ken O'Brien was a backup at CSUS for a year before transferring to UC Davis, where he had his success.

Members I have met in-person. In 2018 I met four members. In 2019 I broke that record and meet five. My 2020 goal is to set a new record and meet six or more members.

Any members interested in meeting, send me a message. I frequent the following locales and routes/states between. I'm not adverse to driving extra miles out of the way.

I've been working on Phillies team sets from Topps flagship/Update series' on and off since 2011. Of the 2000+ cards, the only 4 I'm missing are the 1952 high numbers.

Last addition: 963 Topps #553 Brock Davis / Jim Gosger / John Herrnstein / Willie Stargell

After the fire at Notre Dame it got me thinking of the "Famous Places" I have been. Of course my definition of "Famous" may differ from others. List will be added to as memory kicks in or cards found of other sites I have visited!
