I get the crappy autographsby Jgamble - 103 cards (Last updated on Nov 15, 2022) |
61. 2018 Topps Archives - Fan Favorites Autographs #FFA-LC Luis Castillo
Undrafted amateur Free agent signed by the Marlins in 1992. 15 years in the bigs, a few all-star appearances and a world championship with the fish in 2003. No HOF votes his one year on the ballot. This is my best auto by that metric, and that's really depressing.
|
62. 2018 Topps Fire - Fire Autograph #FA-CT Chris Taylor
5th round (161) pick by the Mariners in the 2012 draft. Starting left fielder for the two-time defending NL champs! Probably at his ceiling right now. Nondescript name, so I already forgot who I was even writing about.
|
63. 2018 Topps Gypsy Queen - Autographs #GQA-KG Koda Glover
8th round (254) pick by the Nationals in the 2015 draft. I've never heard of him, and I suggest no one pay any more attention to him. He'll flame out and join the Marlins or the Indie league before you know it.
|
64. 2018 Topps Gypsy Queen - Autographs #GQA-RM Ryan McMahon
2nd round (42) pick by the Rockies in the 2013 draft. McMahon is a nobody who does no things will and will be playing in Korea or Sugarland by the end of this year.
|
65. 2019 Bowman - Chrome Prospect Autographs #CPA-CM Casey Mize
#1 overall pick in the 2018 draft. The savior of the Tigers. Then Pedro Martinez went after his mechanics and now he's barely a middle reliever at this point. Thanks Pedro. You roll Zimmer like a 6 foot bowling ball, and then you set the Tigers back another 15 years.
|
66. 2019 Bowman - Prospect Autographs #PA-AW Adam Wolf
OH YES FINALLY oh wait its not Casey Mize...discard.
|
67. 2019 Bowman's Best - Best of 2019 Autographs #B19-CC Corbin Carroll
1st round (16) pick by the Diamondbacks in the 2019 draft. I've heard he has good baseball IQ, which is braggable. Drafted in June? The game and the hobby has already passed this kid by.
|
68. 2019 Bowman's Best - Best of 2019 Autographs #B19-RG Riley Greene
Another no-name bum headed for bum town, Riley is posing here in front of my Trapper Keeper from 8th grade.
|
69. 2019 C2Cigars TCDB Business Card - Autographs #MOY vrooomed
Look at this knucklehead with his face covered in baked beans! I don't know his life story, but he may have been drafted. To have your own card on TCDB is a fantastic accomplishment though.
|
70. 2019 Donruss - Signature Series #SS-BW Bryse Wilson
4th round (109) pick by the Braves in the 2016 draft. Future bullpen-spot start-bullpen and Gwinnett-Atlanta-Gwinnett bench occupier. Great. The number of people high on Bryse can hang out comfortably in a phone booth.

#4, Brett Cardonna. Here's some more info on him: https://twitter.com/brettcaradonna?lang=en
Steve Hammond must have been listening to a Conway Twitty record when he signed his name. Best list I've read in a while. I almost want to buy some cheap scrub autos and mail them to you, just to read your evaluations .
@switzr1 I'd take them. That would be fun. @C2Cigars That's cool for him! Glad he's teaching.
‘Auto looks like a Ross Perot self portriat’ I did literally laugh out loud, and my wife looked at me and rolled her eyes 😆
Dude, I think Eddie Rosario read your preseason comments and decided to play himself off your list. Currently leading the American League in home runs, as of May 10. And it's all because of you!!
This list made me laugh more than a few times. :D
Hahaha .. I like this list... The part I like most is the last portion of each comment where it says "Auto looks like .... " ... Some of those are funny.
Fun list. In all seriousness, I'd be interested in any of the Houston ones, if you've still got them. I can send you some more flameouts for the list if you like.
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
hey, dont throw shade at the Vanimal!
Yes, that vrooomed's autograph is absolutely terrible. Even a drunk chicken with a pen in it's claw could do a better job! Even the military wouldn't draft that asthmatic candy-[ahem]. So, no, he was never drafted. Drafty, many times.
#49 in your list reminded me of an AUTO I once pulled from one of those $5 dollar Walgreens 100-card packs of random cards that guarantees a "hit" (an AUTO) in 1 out of every 4 packs. I pulled a bumb who was a former prospect of the Angels named Chevy Clarke. His Auto looks sort of like an inverted bow and arrow. The Auto I pulled was this one from 2010 Donruss Elite Extra Edition, what a bumb: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-Donruss-Elite-2-Card-Chevez-Chevy-Clarke-Auto-Autograph-Lot/143231950253?hash=item21594a1dad:g:l84AAOSwN3lcxeiB:sc:USPSFirstClass!72205!US!-1

Your style of humor in this list makes me laugh. You got jokes, Gambler!
" Not an autograph, but I am too stupid to figure out how to remove cards from lists " lmao
I got a Trey Beamon back in the 90's. Funny stuff.
| ||
I bet buying those crappy 100 card cheap boxes from BigLots or Walgreens really helped with adding to this list!
.
| ||
This is a good list The commentary absolutely makes it great
Gotta get back to some trading today, but reading through the first 10 was a riot. Will have to come back and read through the rest...too much fun!
Some of these got a chuckle out of me.. Orlando Cabrera was an Undrafted Free Agent in 1993.. I would have loved to get that Vidro.. Instead I get some random guy who never made it anywhere in Seattle or Laz Diaz... lol |
