I get the crappy autographsby Jgamble - 103 cards (Last updated on Nov 15, 2022) |
51. 2015 Panini Elite Extra Edition - Autographed Prospects #38 Daz Cameron
1st round (37) pick by the Astros in the 2015 draft. As a Tiger fan, I feel like we've been hearing about his potential for long enough, it's time to let him go mess around in the independent leagues or Japan or something. A nobody.
|
52. 2015 Panini Prizm - Rookie Autographs Prizms #52 Daniel Norris
2nd round (74) pick by the Blue Jays in the 2011 draft. Hey he lives in a van, is a delightful weirdo, and has a reasonable shot at a spot in the Tigers bullpen, if not a spot starter.
|
53. 2016 Topps - Scouting Report Autographs #SRA-RY Robin Yount
1st round (3rd) pick by the Brewers in the 1973 draft. OK, so Rockin' Robin made the Hall of Fame.
|
54. 2017 Leaf Perfect Game National Showcase #BA-HD2 Matthew Dickey
No idea. I saw that he was a grad of SFA in 2016. Who the crap knows. I found out he has a decent fastball. SN50, so that's something that's going on here.
|
55. 2017 Panini Chronicles - Donruss Signature Series #SS2-YD Yandy Diaz
Undrafted amateur Free agent signed by the Indians in 2013. This dude is still playing in the big leagues for Tampa Bay, which is sweet!
|
56. 2017 Topps - Salute Autographs #TSA-JMU Joe Musgrove
1st round (46) pick by the Blue Jays in the 2011 draft. Now this guy actually has a ring with Houston. I don't know if I have anyone else who does. That guy from the Marlins maybe. While still technically a nobody, Joe also has a reasonably decent outlook for the Pirates. Maybe I'll get this card signed when I go a game this summer, because I trust Topps about as far as I can lob a full 5000-ct box.
|
57. 2018 Donruss Optic - Rated Rookies Signatures Aqua #RRS-AY Anthony Santander
Undrafted amateur Free agent signed by the Indians in 2011. Another actual pro! A scrub, but a pro! Spent parts of two seasons with the Orioles, amounting to nothing.
|
58. 2018 Panini Diamond Kings - DK Rookie Signatures #S-TN Tomas Nido
8th round pick by the Mets in the 2012 draft. Tomas is best known for being the great nephew of 1959 FIBA World Champion Juan "Pachín" Vicéns. So that's really swell. He's one season from retirement.
|
59. 2018 Panini Diamond Kings - DK Signatures #S-MF Mike Foltynewicz
1st round pick by whoever whenever. *shakes head impatiently* I guess he's headed to the Rangers this season because he wants his career to end in unsuccessful, pointless anonymity. At least his name is worth 42 points in Scrabble.
|
60. 2018 Topps - Topps Salute Autographs (Series One) #SA-AS Andrew Stevenson
2nd round (58) pick by the Nationals in the 2015 draft. Platoon outfielder, probably has a shot now that Harper has vacated the DC outfield.

#4, Brett Cardonna. Here's some more info on him: https://twitter.com/brettcaradonna?lang=en
Steve Hammond must have been listening to a Conway Twitty record when he signed his name. Best list I've read in a while. I almost want to buy some cheap scrub autos and mail them to you, just to read your evaluations .
@switzr1 I'd take them. That would be fun. @C2Cigars That's cool for him! Glad he's teaching.
‘Auto looks like a Ross Perot self portriat’ I did literally laugh out loud, and my wife looked at me and rolled her eyes 😆
Dude, I think Eddie Rosario read your preseason comments and decided to play himself off your list. Currently leading the American League in home runs, as of May 10. And it's all because of you!!
This list made me laugh more than a few times. :D
Hahaha .. I like this list... The part I like most is the last portion of each comment where it says "Auto looks like .... " ... Some of those are funny.
Fun list. In all seriousness, I'd be interested in any of the Houston ones, if you've still got them. I can send you some more flameouts for the list if you like.

hey, dont throw shade at the Vanimal!
Yes, that vrooomed's autograph is absolutely terrible. Even a drunk chicken with a pen in it's claw could do a better job! Even the military wouldn't draft that asthmatic candy-[ahem]. So, no, he was never drafted. Drafty, many times.
#49 in your list reminded me of an AUTO I once pulled from one of those $5 dollar Walgreens 100-card packs of random cards that guarantees a "hit" (an AUTO) in 1 out of every 4 packs. I pulled a bumb who was a former prospect of the Angels named Chevy Clarke. His Auto looks sort of like an inverted bow and arrow. The Auto I pulled was this one from 2010 Donruss Elite Extra Edition, what a bumb: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-Donruss-Elite-2-Card-Chevez-Chevy-Clarke-Auto-Autograph-Lot/143231950253?hash=item21594a1dad:g:l84AAOSwN3lcxeiB:sc:USPSFirstClass!72205!US!-1

Your style of humor in this list makes me laugh. You got jokes, Gambler!
" Not an autograph, but I am too stupid to figure out how to remove cards from lists " lmao
I got a Trey Beamon back in the 90's. Funny stuff.
| ||
I bet buying those crappy 100 card cheap boxes from BigLots or Walgreens really helped with adding to this list!
.
| ||
This is a good list The commentary absolutely makes it great
Gotta get back to some trading today, but reading through the first 10 was a riot. Will have to come back and read through the rest...too much fun!
Some of these got a chuckle out of me.. Orlando Cabrera was an Undrafted Free Agent in 1993.. I would have loved to get that Vidro.. Instead I get some random guy who never made it anywhere in Seattle or Laz Diaz... lol |
