I was into "Classic Rock" before it was classic, pretty much stayed with that until the 2000's began. Then never would have believed, but got turned onto blue grass when I found they did a lot of classic rock covers. That led me to a lot of new groups. Now my Pandora, SiriusX, and home music systems carry quite a few different types of music. My favorite artists lately include:
OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW, THE DEVIL MAKES THREE, anything JACK WHITE is involved in, POOR MANS POISON, TRAMPLED BY TURTLES, JOHNNY CASH, THE DEAD SOUTH, NATHANIEL RATELIFF & THE NIGHT SWEATS, just to name a few. BEATLES, STONES, all good. I have found, don't lock yourself into one genre, you would be surprised what you may find you like.
My music collection rivals my card collection (45's, LP's, CD's, Reel to reel tape). The music is usually always on in my home, car, or mind. I often say it is the soundtrack to my life.

If your response to "Opening Day" is "for what?"... We cannot be friends.

I'm into British indie rock. My favorite band is Oasis. Since they broke up I've listen to their other projects Beady Eye, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and Liam Gallagher's solo career.
Other bands I enjoy are Arctic Monkeys, Blur, Travis, Stone Roses, Depche Mode, Blossoms, The Sherlocks, Kooks, Courtneers, Pigeon Detectives, Ocean Colour Scene, Strokes, White Lies, the Verve, Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers,The Thrills, Nada Surf, Red Walls, Hinds, Amazons, Minibar, Our Lady Peace.
I also enjoy bands like Greeb Day, Everclear, STP, Metallica(Black Album through Reload), Live, Weezer
songwriters such as Pete Yorn, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and The Tallest Man On Earth
i do like some classic rock like the Beatles, The Kinks, The Hollies, the Who and The Jam
I like some country artists such as John Anderson, Joe Diffie and Dwight Yoakam
I could go on for a while

I also like a lot of different music, but my 2 favorites are Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. and The Zac Brown Band. I also really like Small Town Titans, I love their cover of Cash's Folsom Prison Blues and of course the Grinch.

While I appreciate most music from show tunes to classical and jazz and blues and country...
What I listen to most is a tiny little subgenre of a subgenre ...alternative Christian...Bands include...Daniel Amos, Adam Again, the choir, Lifesavers Underground, 77's, and others even more obscure (sales in the hundreds of albums!) Also Switchfoot and Jon Foreman.
I also really like Americana/roots music and the older I get the more I listen to it. Dylan, Bill Mallonee, Buddy Miller, etc.
I do NOT like most of the country pop stuff. Anything after Garth Brooks feels like a copycat of I don't know what. Except those who don't sound like that like Chris Stapleton.
I too like anything Jack White records as someone else just mentioned. Love the raw energy of his sounds and unique lyricism.
Which reminds me, what I really love about music is the poetry of it. The words. If the lyrics are well constructed or thoughtful then I probably like it. And I think that's where most modern country fails for me. They often take one clever phrase and create a whole song around one line. That seems too formulaic to me.

I'm mostly organizing over adding right now.
