A couple people mentioned they haven't heard of many of the bands mentioned in this thread and I'm the opposite. I'd say I've heard of 90% or so (and even tried listening to most). Exceptions include a lot of EP's list and some of the British stuff.
Having said that, my genre is primarily 90s rock and country, but I will listen to anything. Until my hard drive crashed I had about 5 months of music (300 GBs) and could listen from January 1st until almost Memorial Day of no reapeat music. Since I lost a lot of it and haven't ripped my CDs again (and I got rid of a lot) I only listen to radio now unless I get a hankering for specific artists.
Those artists include:
Warren Zevon, Soundgarden, Jackyl, Gram Parsons, Switchfoot, dc Talk, The Benjamin Gate, Jeremy Camp, Lifehouse, Garbage, Johnny Cash, Doja Cat, Maren Morris, The Lost Trailers, Cake, DeGarmo & Key, Lily Allen, Kate Nash, Kacey Musgraves, Neil Young, Apologetix, Tantric, Good Charlotte, Better Than Ezra... I could go on. The last couple songs I've looked up on Youtube was from the artists Thumpasaurus, Wet Leg, and K-Flay.
I figured since I don't have Spotify, I'd link to my discogs page. The CD's are mostly what my tastes are (minus a few of my mom's just for reference so I don't rebuy them for her, and Christmas). The records and cassettes and 8 tracks were mostly handed down to me or bought cheap. https://www.discogs.com/user/jupiterhill
