I trade cards to build baseball, hockey, Canadian football and some non-sport sets, but I don't buy or sell cards. New cards are regularly added to my FT/S list.

All the cards I list here are NRMT or EX unless specified and I expect the same of you. Even I don't collect micro-variations (dots, stars, copyright marks, holograms, printing plate codes...), all my 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992 Donruss have been checked. I use painter's tape for all shipments and I am fine with shipping cards in single or multiple PWEs, if the cards are properly packaged. I don't mind large or small transactions, but I currently prefer trades with 10 to 20 cards going each way or at least that the cards carry more value than the postage.

Besides helping to complete our collections one step closer each time, the opportunity would be nice to have traded with all the states, provinces and territories of North America. On this site only, I traded with 45 states, 9 provinces and overseas. I can't wait to have a trade in Alaska, D.C., Delaware, Nebraska, North Dakota, Wyoming, Manitoba and the 3 Canadian territories. However, if you don't live in the above juridictions, you're still more than welcome to trade with me.

Tip to save on shipping costs to Canada: use PWEs (Plain White Envelopes) and avoid bubble envelopes, plastic boxes and big stacks of cards. Ship as flat as you can (cut 9 pocket pages in 3 rows and insert 4-5 cards in each pocket). The more it looks like a greeting card or documents mailed in a regular letter instead of a package, the more it tends to be cheaper to ship. Current U.S. to Canada first class postage rate (up to 2 oz) is $1.30 and if non-machinable, $1.60. If you don't have Global Forever stamps handy, three regular Forever stamps work as well. There's also no need to pay $14.25 for shipping with international tracking, because it is too expensive and Canada Post won't track your postal item anyway. Overall, postal service tends to be slower in Canada and at times a bit harder difficult to predict, but it is as reliable as in the U. S.. I usually ship the same or the next business day, but Canada Post doesn't pick up or deliver on Saturday and Sunday.

A.S.

Quote:   WARNING: I do all my best to keep my lists up to date, but they may contain incorrect versions due to the incessant frequency with which new micro-variations are added. I don't collect them, but please ask me first, if they matter to you.

Trading Note

I love trading and have no issues trading across the border to our friends down south. I don't particularly care about the dollar value of the cards in the deal and am more focused on balancing the quantity, but I will adjust if dollar value is important to my trading partner. I'm pretty easy and flexible and just ask that people are fair and reasonable. I will also happily trade football for hockey or vice versa and the era of the cards does not matter to me - I just want to get rid of my doubles for cards that I actually want. My doubles have absolutely no value to me as part of my collection.

I'd appreciate painters tape only please, no scotch tape if you use top loaders. I'd rather not cut into the cards I want to keep. Also, I really do try to hit the post office in a reasonable amount of time after accepting trades, but sometimes it may take a few days. If that's OK with you, let's make a deal!

Trading is back off as I complete a move.

My main collecting goal on TCDB is finishing my older incomplete sets.  Majority of those are older hockey including some junk wax era sets.  My wants listed here are all low-end.  I will also sell cards, starting at 5 cents.  Stars, rookie, inserts and more recent sets may be more.  Will discount for bulk buys.

My trade list on TCDB is incomplete.  Majority of my list are base cards.  I have not listed my insterts, parallels, jerseys, etc..  or other non-base.  I also have some early 80s that are in various condition.  If you have alot of my wantlist but I have little off of yours, send me a message if you collect certain players or teams and I can check my unlisted non-base to see of we have a match.

I prefer PWE trades within Canada and then the USA.  Any trades overseas will need to be big enough, or of value enough, to justify the shipping/handling.

I use team bags with filler cards/cardboard, or 9 pocket pages.  If a trade is smaller, I will use a toploader, team bag and fillers/cardboard.  Unless the cards are of value, they will not get individual sleeves.  If I use sleeves, there may be multiple cards per sleeve.  If you strongly desire a bubble mailer, be sure to include it in the message of the trade offer.

I don't always respond to trade offers ASAP.  Sometimes I have other offers on the table that I am waiting on or need to think about a deal.  Sometimes I do the right thing and send a message, but usually I tend not to.  I will try to be better but apologies in advance anyways.  When a trade is accepted, my goal is to get the cards in the mail within 2 business days.

I have a number of 79-80 and 80-81 OPC on my wantlist.  For those I am looking for excellent or above.  Fuzzy and slightly rounded corners are fine but I am not interested in creased cards, corners that are rounded like playing cards, or cards that have centering so bad that some of the card is off the card.  For the 80s cards I have listed, they are in VG/Ex or better.  If I wouldn't want to receive it in a trade, I don't list it.

I mention all of this so you know what to expect.  Also do onto others as you have done onto you, so I don't expect anything more than what I listed above.  I am pretty easy with packing, but I know some aren't.

I am also open to trading for starter sets for 1990s sets, in particular the 1994 Fleer Hockey.  Message me before proposing a transaction on those please.

I have a blog where I post custom cards - jblarghcards.blogspot.com - if you see something you like I could trade a custom card.  They are fan art and a novelty item, don't expect them to be PSA 10s.

My main Interest is in trading for Toronto Maple Leaf cards first.

Willing to trade inserts ,rookies etc but please try to offer the same in return or else your offer will probably get turned down.

Will trade Baseball for Hockey. ( I'm not really a baseball guy )

Prefer trades with 8 to 10 cards  just to make postage worth while.

PWE are fine with me for smaller trades

What bothers me is people who don't leave feed back after a good trade.

Restarted collecting hockey cards in 2017ish to build a collection for my son. Looking to buy/sell and trade for cards I want/need! Thanks in advance.

Currently, I am slowly starting to update my Sell/Trade lists. If you see cards in my Personal Collection that you need, however; DO NOT hesitate to ask me about them as I may have multiple copies that just haven't been uploaded yet. It never hurts to ask. We may be able to help each other out.

Other than the sets I am trying to finish, I also PC the San Jose Sharks and Manon Rheaume. Any help would be appreciated.

If we have done deals, smoothly or not, could you please leave feedback? Thanks

Never thought I would have to put a pause on trading but will do so for a short time. Just way too busy with work and working from home sometimes I find myself drifting towards trading when I should be working LOL. I will update when I'm back up and running, likely by early February. I'm only saying no to traders from sending proposals but leaving everything else up for viewing.

Collect (almost) all Toronto Blue Jays cards, select Toronto Maple Leafs sets and other random sets I like.

I have tens of thousands of stars and hall of famers from the 80's to today as well as lots of 2021 cards I just received and will add. Tens of thousands of cards from the four major sports to add, mostly hockey and baseball. Lots of cards that are Poor to VG from the 1970 and 1971 OPC Baseball and Hockey 1969/70 to 1973/74.

Also collect any and all Rob Ducey baseball cards.

Sets i'm working on,

-1979 Topps NHL team stickers

-1988/89 ESSO NHL All-stars

-1992 OPC 25th anniversary NHL

-1992 Future Trends (1976 Canada Cup)

-1992 Kellogg's NHL Trophies

-2001/02 Topps/OPC Archives

-2002/03 Topps Rookie reprints

-2002-03 Toronto Maple Leafs Platinum collection

-2007/08 In the Game O Canada

-2013 Upper Deck Team Canada

-2017 Upper Deck Toronto Maple Leafs Centennial

-2017/18 Upper Deck/Canadian Tire Team Canada

-All Upper Deck Tim Hortons base hockey sets.

-All Upper Deck/Pinnacle McDonalds hockey sets.

Adding more all the time!!!

Also collect hockey, all Mats Sundin, J.S. Aubin and Darcy Tucker. Working on adding Austin Matthews, Mitch Marner, Phil Kessel, James Reimer, Bryan Little and some other NHL'ers my daughter and I collect.

Constantly working on updating my sale/trade list with tens of thousands of baseball & hockey cards and some basketball and football. Some non sports as well will creap in occasionally.

Collect both baseball and hockey, but for now I just have hockey in here so focussing mainly on that. Though always looking to add to my Ozzie Smith collection!

Still have a lot of cards left to update in the system so if you see something you want but don't know if I need anything from your list, feel free to reach out and I can check out your trade list. Looking for mainly PWE trades (see below) and/or willing to meet up locally (or relatively close to) to exchange.

Located in Cambridge, Ontario.

Most cards are to either fill gaps or replace poor quality in my personal sets, so I do look for good quality cards and you can expect the same from me. Any issues with cards please try to communicate before sending and I'll do the same. Love completing sets and helping others do the same!

How I Package PWE:

I put cards either in 9 page pockets or sleeves and put cardboard in the envelope to keep it from bending and send regular mail. If you are looking for something different please include in the trade. Also, most cards are I have are in really good condition, but not all cards are, so if you are looking for cards that are only mint please let me know - I am not that concerned about number of cards as long as trades are relatively fair on both sides and that it is worth the postage.

Let's make a trade!!

NOTE: As of September 2020 I may be slower responding to transaction offers and so on - quite busy at work and with a home reno.

All O-Pee-Chee Hockey, Baseball and Non-sports base sets and inserts, 1963-64 and earlier Parkhurst Hockey, Baseball and Non-sports, 1990s and early 2000s Hockey Inserts.   Traders available from 60s,70s,80s,90s.  Condition varies on older stuff so please contact for details.  Would prefer to trade 70s/80s for 70s/80s and modern for modern, also would prefer higher $ cards for higher $ cards (unless you have something I really want!) but feel free to propose the offers!

I pretty much collect Hockey, and Basketball and non sport. I do have a large collection of over 250 000 cards that i am trying to get into the system here but as you are aware it takes a while to get them in. If you dont see anything in my collection just ask as i might have. I am looking to complete sets. I love trading as it keeps thewife off my ass about spending money on this but if i don't have a trade that you need but have cards i want please send me a price and i would be willing to look at it.

My Parkhurst, Tim Hortons, McDonalsds, Fleer (skybox, Flair) Pro Set, Donruss, Panini, OPC, Pinnacle, Topps Ultimate, in the game, Pacific,Leaf, Bowman and Classic and finally upper deck  and Score complete,  I also have a love for Star trek and would look at any deal on those cards. Now my hockey is done, i am going to add my 100 000 baseball and then my basketball. Please don't send me Deals on baseball, or basket ball as of yet until i get my collections in, i have many boxes to add, the ones in this system were what i had in binders.

Also my vinatage cards have been with me for years, if you very concerned over the condition of them please ask for my email and provide me with yours so i can send pics, my cards are in great shape for being with me over the years, no tears or folds but i would be happy to show you condidtion if your that serouis collector who wants mint.

thanking for looking and i hope we can make a trade.

I am a person with a fast turn around, in most cases if we have a deal today, the cards will be sent tomorrow. I expect the same from you as well. I also check to make sure we are trading dollar for dollar. I dont do card for card unless they are same value or enough cards make up the value. Please don't send one or two card trades, lets make the biggest deal possible, or least the deal should be more then postage, and please make sure you put the transaction number on the envelope or somewhere inside the package, so many people don't and if your like me who have many deals going at once it makes it very hard to figare out what deal it is with out the number.

Also i have been trading for a while now, and the 2 biggest problems i have is the amount of tape people use to wrap the cards, please try to use as little as possible, and second please put the trading id on something in the package. I have any where from 5 to 20 deals happing at all times, its sucks when you have to go through deal by deal to find the transaction. It would be so much easier if the transaction id was printed on something inside, thank you. (Also your name and trading name would be a bonus as well)

Wow just hit over 100 trade deals, crazy time flies when your having fun! looking forward to hitting the 200 or 250 deal. Will have to do somethign special for the 250th Deal!.

Hockey, baseball, football and basketball, some Star Wars and soccer cards. I have 75,000 cards to add to this database. I’m a set builder, while I do current card sets I do go after vintage cards. Anything 50 years or older. I also speculate with autos. I cannot keep up to date as much as I would like and I can be busy for days at a time so you may have to wait a while before I get to you.

December 31, 2021 - I have turned trading back on as some are asking for trades. This does not change my opinion stated below.

I will continue to accept PWE trades that have at least 12 cards coming my way (or something pretty special) but continue to prefer larger trades, i.e. 300+ cards each direction. My VAR are double checked, at the time I listed it and again when I pull it for trade, to make sure you get the right one. I do ask that you do the same, especially in the parallel sets (I have received too many base cards when the parallel was offered). My lists are my priorities; if you offer me some of those, then I will be happier to accept.  If you don't bother checking my priorities and just offer me several from the same set just because it is easier for you and I find you have several from my lists, then it is just as easy for me to decline your laziness. I will help you if you help me.

As of December 31, 2021 I have sent 58,314 cards in trade, sales or PIF to other members; in return, I have received 50,152. Thanks to all the good traders on this site, especially those who have learned how to economize shipping across the border, approximately $1.80 for a PWE with 18 cards in it.

--------------------------------------------

December 4, 2021 - Today I have turned off my trading, not because I need to organize my collection or anything like that but because this site and its elitist clique have finally driven me to the point where I need to step away from the majority of what goes on here on TCDb.

It is a shame that a site that has rejuvenated the hobby for so many collectors can also drive away some long time collectors. Over the years I have watched the changes happening on this site that has taken it from the greatest collecting site on the internet to merely a decent tool to track one's collection. I have also watched many of the better members on this site who were always there to help answer questions for new members, no longer be active in the forums all because they were also sickened by some of those most active there. I have read so many rude responses to queries by new members in the Forums that I wonder why anyone new to the site would even stay. Seven years ago when I first registered, it was not like this. In the last 2 years I have seen enough hatred and anger expressed in the forums to match Facebook.

I used to contribute where I could to help this site.  Uploading checklists, scanning cards and uploading images, fixing notes, submitting IR to have things corrected that I could not.  Slowly my desire to help was eroded by those who want to have total control over the site. I believe their wish is to eliminate all others who are not in the clique from being able to do anything here as they believe they are the only ones who know everything in the hobby. They quickly deter new members from participating with their aggressive responses in the Forums and they find ways to block older members who may voice things against their ideas.

Well done guys; you've succeeded in silencing another one.

We are back, And wow. Over 20+ trades waiting.. If you don't mind waiting then please send trades. Love the trading spirit of the site. Jeff

I am back trading  Life decided to get in the way but will keep trading to keep everything as fun as possible for my sons and I. They both help me with trades as to help with home schooling and cause we enjoy spending time and doing it together. Bright spot of the day is when trade comes in so they can pull the cards and help verify the condition and if the count is correct.

My 11 yr old son has got my passion back, looking for pretty much everything and have many duplicates that I hope you can use. Check back often as I buy and trade a lot. I am not opposed to any "FAIR" trade.

I have mostly hockey - I love to trade for inserts. Adding cards daily as it takes lots of time to add everything.

I use beckett to compare prices not TCDB - if you are happy with that, letèstrade by all means

Cards are as good as they can be but the 90's can have slight minor faults as there have been a lot of handling lets face it. If you are unhappy with the cards, we can always figure out something - ae. returns and paying the return postage...

***NOTE: FROM NOW ON I WILL BE SHIPPING OUT TRADES ONLY ON SUNDAY'S!***

HELLO EVERYONE!

WELCOME TO MY NECK OF THE WOODS!

First off I have to get this out there...                                              I am willing to trade, but life does get in the way sometimes and that does interfere with my fun, and stress relief of collecting. Please understand this, so if I don't respond right away, it doesn't mean I haven't seen your proposal.  I have a few that are not understanding this so if I feel that it continues I will turn off my Trade/Sale List.

Please keep trades a max of 12 cards or less and I do PWE.

IF YOU ARE WANTING TO DO A BIG TRADE PLEASE MESSAGE ME BEFORE PROPOSING ONE!

Plus, I like to check to make sure I have the cards you are looking for before accepting trades.  Yes the site states I have it but I like to double check as I am finding errors in my list.

Anyhow, hope to here from ya!

"ULTIMATE END GAME OF MY COLLECTING!"

  • 1966-1967 TOPPS HOCKEY (CDN VERSION)

(At this time I do not have card #35 - Bobby Orr - RC. If you are an individual or a store and have it for sale or willing to trade please PM me and we can try and make a deal.)

  • If you see something you need or want give me a shout.  I always look at a trade to make things work, even if I don't have it on my want list, which keeps changing!
  • At the same time I am willing to help out fellow collectors to complete their collections and look for cards they can't find!  So if I don't have it, I will try and find it for you.
  • For collectors that don't like trading and would rather buy, all cards on my Trade List are For Sale. Message me what you are looking at and we can go from there.

* Presently looking for a RECIPROCAL trade to finish these sets.

1996/97 Leaf - 7 more

2003/04 UD Victory - 17 more

Low priority sets:

1995/6 UD - lots, but it's a duplicate set

Obviously, a Buffalo Sabres fan.

Buffalo team - #4

Gilbert Perreault - #1

Pat Lafontaine - #2

Mike Gartner - #3

Baseball - Expos and some Blue Jays

Tim Raines - #4

Let's try to trade common for common, insert for insert, $value for $value and # of cards somewhat even, if at all possible. Please don't offer me 5c commons for 50c parallels or $1 inserts. There is a difference in trade value.

I'm all about the O-Pee-Chee (All Sports and Non Sports) + some Soccer and the occasional oddballs that catch my eye.

Love trading and will always try to find something to make it work. My trade lists goes up and down as I buy lots from garage sales/auctions/kijiji etc and then try to trade the pieces for more O-Pee-Chee goodness.
