Two more good races today. I was happy with the F1 race since I like Perez and Hamilton finished so low. The NASCAR race seemed boring at times, but I enjoyed it also. Though it might have just been me, but Jones and Elliott weren't that great in the pack. Jones seemed like he was holding Byron up more than drafting with him. Elliott just seemed like he couldn't keep the draft up when following. I'm glad with the winner and actually surprised there wasn't a crash before the white flag leading to an overtime. Glad it didn't though.

Yeah, that was a good race at Talladega today. As usual, it ebbs and flows with excitement vs. boring as everyone plays follow the leader for many laps when it's just time to click away the laps. This new car really showed it's strength today. A massive wreck taking a dozen or so cars spinning and only 3 of them had to be retired from the race at that point. A couple more did eventually succumb to inner damage. Evasive manuevers seem to work much better with this new car too. Rowdy and BK really would have spun out trying to avoid the Logano wreck if they were in the old car. The finish was a real surprise as I honestly thought the most-likely person in the Top-10 to create a problem would have been Chastain. He ends up winning the race as Larson makes a stupid mistake and takes out both 23XI cars. All 3 cars had been running well until that final lap wreck. Larson STILL ended up in 4th to get his first Top-5 finish on a superspeedway track! Once again, I stuck with Rowdy in my Fantasy Game and was rewarded with the best finish of the drivers picked for the 2nd week in a row. I didn't gain ground on 2nd place as Chase Elliott got more Stage Points, but I maintained the lead. I'm loving this season and it has nothing to do with my fantasy game (although that helps some). Dover should be really interesting next weekend. BTW, I already picked Larson for the Dover race.

Even with the contact with Busch, Larson had a good chance to win had Jones not basically pushed
him up into the wall trying to block.....
Thought Larson waited way to long to jump in front of Busch....
Larson and Chastain would have had a better chance had Larson not jumped up into Busch and
let Jones deal with that issue.....

Good race at Dega, and yeah the new cars can really take a beating! Also yeah the fact that there wasn't a crash before the white did surprise me a bit.
It's nice to see Chastain doing well imo.

I'd like to see Suarez get better finishes though. Chastain has 2 wins now and Suarez led a bunch of laps early in both of those races, but issues caused him to not finish the 'Dega race and end up way behind in the COTA race. Daniel has to be a little deflated that his new teammate is killing it and he can't seem to finish a race when he has just as good of a car. Trackhouse has been surprising this season though. 23XI Racing has been good too and that's why I was quite ticked that Larson took out both of them at the end of the race. My favorite current drivers are Rowdy and Bubba, so I want to see both of them do well every week. Bubba has been awesome this year with the older Busch brother (as his first ever teammate in the Cup Series) teaching him some things, but Bubba just doesn't have the finishes to go with how well he has run so far. Another win is coming for 23XI this season, but which driver will get it?

That was an interesting race at Dover. Lots of "comers and goers", a ton of racing action at times, some crazy excitement with spins or tires coming off, and it ends with the 3rd-place car spinning out on the final lap. What an odd race at Dover. Funny how the tires were a major issue for the first 250 laps but not for the final 150 laps. I know there were a bunch of cautions late in the race, but there were 2 points where they ran over 70 laps without a single tire issue. Seems like NASCAR should have run a tire-dragon across the track before they started the race if they weren't going to sell more sets of tires to the teams. In the end, it was entertaining, eventful and competitive. You can't ask for much more from a race, although it would have been nicer if the race finished on Sunday instead of Monday. I'm quite curious as to why Dover doesn't have lights at the track! The entire area is built up as a huge draw to the public. There's a mall beside the track, a casino on the track grounds and a horse-racing track inside of the asphalt track! If Martinsville could afford to add lights (3 or 4 years ago), why doesn't Dover have them yet? Martinsville doesn't even have any other attractions or cities around it for dozens of miles! On to Darlington now. I hope that is as exciting of a race as it used to be. It's hard to tell with these new cars now if it will be hard racing fun or follow the leader boredom. But it HAS been a really entertaining season so far!!! I hope it continues to be that way.

Yep, long runs tend to happen late as rubber is put down and tire wear gets better....
rewatched the last section last night...
Didn't get any info about whether they determined where the stray lug nut came from or where it went....
