Kevin Harvick- comes from out of nowhere to win the race. He is the closer.
Jeff Gordon- comes form nowhere to win the race. Refuse to Lose. Great amazing driver.
Alex Bowman- comes from oblivion and wins the race. He is a hack.
Maybe we should be amazed at how he seemingly puts himself in position to be at the right place at the right time and is there for the taking.
There are lots of great drivers out there and very few get a golden opportunity and the few that do will either squander it or do something with it. Alex is doing something with it.

I've never liked Harvick, Logano or BK, but it had nothing to do with them racing in other series below Cup. They were all just a-holes. Oddly, I've been a fan of "Rowdy" since he first got in a Hendrick Cup car. If you are going to talk about Cup drivers racing in the lower tiers, you can't leave out Mark Martin who basically started that consistently and then Carl Edwards during the same period as Harvick and Busch. I was VERY happy when NASCAR limited the number of races in the NXS and Truck Series that a Cup driver could run during the season. I lost interest in both of those series' when it was always a points battle between Busch, Edwards and Harvick. The Trucks and NXS have been tremendously competitive since the change where drivers have to clarify a title that they are chasing and it got better when the 5-race limit started for Cup drivers. That alone expanded the field of drivers getting to run the races in the lower tiers. That has also led to the rise of GMS and Kaulig who have just breached the Cup Series this year. It also helped Justin Marks and Jordan Anderson fund their own teams. Marks jumped way ahead with the funding from Pitbull to get into the Cup Series. Anderson has done a great job too after getting a slow start from Jen Jo Cobb Racing in the Truck Series. He has now surpassed her with running NXS cars weekly. The little teams CAN become big ones when they can get the financial backing and/or do things just right. Trackhouse is on the right path to becoming a really good team already. Of course, buying the Ganassi stable helped a ton with that but they couldn't have done it without the funding. 23XI is going to be a team to deal with as well, but that started with plenty of funding. But they still needed to show potential sponsors that it would be worth their money to invest. MJ and Hamlin can't spend ALL the money that it takes to run a team.
Anyway, after watching NASCAR for a few decades now, I like where it is heading finally. It was getting stale and constant changes were not helping. I really liked the addition of Stages AFTER it happened (not when it was announced though). Their resiliency through the pandemic helped open up a lot of new avenues for fandom and I think NASCAR is capitalizing on that. This new car is making things way more interesting and that is going to help keep the new "pandemic fans" for a while. Plus, there is a nice range of driver ages right now. Harvick is the oldest with a few more close to his age. Most of the drivers are now mid-20's to mid-30's and then a few younger guys in there. That is a nice spread of age range for the Cup Series. That's what the series needs.

I like where the future of Nascar is heading too. The future seems bright for the sport, and I'm all for it.

Just finished Vegas yesterday. Great to see what Trackhouse has done these past two races. Suarez and Chastain have some skill and seeing them get great cars is a treat to see.

I thought it was kind aof a boring race until the last caution, Greagt to see the Young Guns fighting it out for the win. I am also glad to see Briscoe win for SHR. With Tony starting up the NHRA team. I wasnt sure how the cup side would go.
Love hearing people whine about tire's and height of the cars and them getting stuck. The tires arent really lasting any less than any other year IMO. But as for them getting stuck when tirs are flat that is on the teams , Not NASCAR. there is no ride height rule, They choose to be that low so its their own damn fault for getting stuck. LOL

Four (4) races in, though it doesn't show up much in interviews, but
read through news articles and I've been tired of Bubba Wallace's Whinning
since Daytona ended.....
He's not a youngster than didn't know how deep the water was before he took the plunge.....
