I may or may not have had yesterday's result spoiled to me before watching the race. Far from shocked though - this is Trackhouse's Season and everyone else is just along for the ride!

There were 5 first time winners in 2002. I got a feeling we will see that number broken or tied this year. I got a feeling we will see Tyler Reddick and Daniel Suarez get their first Cup wins this year.

That was a great race again, Everyone can say what they want about the new car and rule changes, But this shas been the best year of racing IMO, For a long time. Still dont liek having to hit someone to get thwe win. But everyone does it except a very very few Drivers. so a win is a win.

AJ wasn't so innocent in many cases Sunday and his shots were not so hard or at crucial times...
Though the last hit was as much AJ's fault, hitting Bowman, it turning him into Chastain....
Lots of cars were pushed wide, forcing them off the racing surface....
If you design a track with choke points like that, don't whine that cars get into each other....

I agree with you Matt. I think Tyler and Daniel have a very good chance to win a race this year. But you can't count out the other 2 rookies (Burton and Gilliland) getting wins either. They haven't finished well yet, but they are learning completely new cars that are way more foreign to them than any other drivers in the Series. Burton just keeps having bad luck when he is running well. Gilliland keeps getting wrecked or breaking something. If those guys figure it out, watch out for them. Also, LaJoie has run well so far this year, so he might get a first win as well. I also think we'll see more than 16 race winners this season!

The COTA race was boring to me until the 3rd stage. Then it got really interesting. The final dozen or so laps were exciting and the finish was fantastic. I hope Richmond is just as exciting this weekend. This new car is creating some great racing and totally leveled the playing field, at least for now.

I forgot about those other three. Lajoie could steal a win at a super speedway.

Corey runs well on all types of tracks. He's just never had a car that could compete with the top teams. He hasn't missed a Cup race in many years and has a fanbase that gets him sponsors for whichever team he is racing for in any season. Now that the team gap isn't so large, he has a chance to pull off a win if he can just get better starting spots or stay out of trouble. He had a shot to replace JJ in the #48 car, but timing screwed him. If Larson hadn't been available for HMS to sign, LaJoie could possibly have been in the #5 car the past 2 seasons. HMS would have still moved Bowman to the #48 since it already had the ALLY sponsorship and they needed a proven winner in that car to keep the sponsorship. HendrickCars.com is the main sponsor of the #5 so Rick is putting his own money on the line for that car. Corey usually keeps his car clean and makes it to the end of the race. He got his first Top-10 in Cup earlier this year and has had a few Top-15 finishes this year. Not bad for a guy who usually has to start in positions 30-40. I expect him to have the best season of his career as far as race finishes go. He might not win a race, but then again, he might manage to win one.

Well, that was a finish. I missed most of the race, but tuned it right as stage two ended. That red flag killed any excitement I might have had for that race. Nobody seemed like they knew how to talk. By the time the second red flag happened, I was done with it. I turned on Youtube, and watched a 20 minute video and turned it back on with 7 laps left. Glad I did.

Race had it's ups and downs...
Nothing that was spelling binding though....
Already tired of East Coast races being moved to late afternoon or evening...
Instead of a 1PM start time.....
