I sympathize with you. I have been there on occassions where I want to shut down trading and leave this site, the most recent in the last 3 or 4 weeks. I have learned to accept that some can't show any gratitude even with a small thanks for the extras note before closing out a trade or a message thanking for the PIF.
I have also been soured on the trading with 3 trades coming to me with missing cards. Two were of small quantities yet could not get the number of cards right. When I made note of it to one trader, I was made out to be the bad guy and told we probably should not trade again with each other. The more recent one was of a much larger quantity. Several missing cards, wrong cards and water damaged ones. No fore-warning of these issues.
And then the promises to make up for a damaged card that has never materialized.
Not all members have good etiquette when it comes to the hobby; I wonder what they are like in real life.

Please reconsider, as You are a very valuable Member of Our TCDB Community! We as humans are imperfect and make mistakes. Each of Us needs a second chance, sometimes more than once. GOD Almighty has made a way to help Us deal with Our human imperfections. However, We all so much need human contact & interaction and this Place has been truly a wonderful Place, more often than not. If You need to take a Break, most of Us get that, as many of Us have done that from time to time. Now go and Be Blessed and Be A Blessing!! I've had the same experience on and off the site. In the 3+ years I've been here I've only made 85 trades so far but that's partially because my want list is fairly specific and I'm not really a set collector. Like you I do like to give but sometimes it's not acknowledged with a thanks. And while that does not feel good I don't let it stop me from just being me. Over the few years I've been here I've yet to receive a PIF just out of the blue (something that was not trade related) but I still try to give when I can. I even have cards on my want list for other collectors who aren't on this site just so I can gift them to them. Off site I've done the same thing and while I get a thanks most times, there are times I do not. Some people have even offered to send me something back as a "thank you" but I usually never hear from them again. I'm a big believer in karma so I just leave it at that. Hope you decide to stay as there are some GREAT members on this site. Wish you all the best with your collecting!!

I am guilty of not always saying thank you for extra cards or posting if I ever receive a PIF. On the other hand, I am also on the other end where I have sent it PIFs or extra cards and did not receive a shout-out or thank you.
Life can get very busy for me with kids and work and I also have A.D.D. So even though I want to say thank you, sometimes I completely forget about it and never circle back around. I am always very grateful when I receive extras and I hope when I send them, the other traders feel the same. This site has been really fun and 99% of the traders on here have been great.
Analog, I hope you stay and continue doing all the great things you have been doing.
Just to clarify with other site members, you are not referring to me and my logo when you say this, but the 'actual' Mafia.
There are still a core group of people that are amazing on this site and unfortunately, as the site grows, you inevitably increase your odds of crossing paths with people who just don't have the same values or objectives that were the foundation the site seemed to be built. Through feedback and personal notes, hopefully everyone builds a profile they can be proud of and speaks for them. I echo everyone else and say Analog I hope you stay too! Don't let a couple bad apples ruin sour what is a great site and an amazing card collecting community.

Hi there, we have never traded I don't think but you are on my respect radar greatly for going out of your way and helping people on the forums.
What I tell my kids (not that you are a kid) is you cannot control what other people do. You can only control yourself. I saw this only as it's easy to let emotions get the best of us at times.
Maybe do as some members do, take a vacation from trading. It may lower a lot of your frustrations.

Seems like you are going a bit overboard here but to each his own. I still love this site and come here daily even though I haven’t had much time to trade lately.
