Seems to me that the existence of the cards is determined by the code on the back of the card. 

Would it be reasonable to use that code number in the card notes somewhere?  Then the 4 codes (base, sp, ssp, and the inflamatory sssp) could be defined in the set notes somewhere?

I really don't care how its done as long as it is immediately obvious to users that (a) the card is special and (b) the card is rarer than normal SSPs.

That's it. I really don't care how we choose to do it, but we need to pick something and go with it. 

If we're going with "SSSP" as the Note, my vote for a definition is "Super-Short Short Print". Make it quick, clean and easy.

Personally, I'd still like to see more information in the Release Notes or Trivia sections, especially a reference to Beckett (and potentially other resources, as they might be found) using the terminology, in addition to the Notes and Glossary entry.

Finally, a definition we could actually use in the Glossary.

Got to love the people that "want it done" but don't want to put in any effort on their part to actually "get it done" (well, except to gripe in the forums, if that's considered getting something done).

I'm good with "Super-Short Short Print" to be used as the definition of "SSSP". Anyone have a better suggestion? Or are you all good with that?

Release notes have been used to put this information in. I have also seen it under Trivia 

I'm good with the SSSP definition proposed. I'll never see one, but that's a different gripe all together. Let's just hope someone doesn't try applying it to SN1 cards. And yes, I have seen SN cards in here with SP labels also attached.

If this is shade directed at me, I'd like to hark back to the definition I proposed, oh, 24 hours ago that was immediately shot down by a certain individual. 

So, yeah, forgive me if I don't give a rats a** anymore. Additionally, another proposal which was shot down was defining SSSP as "Super super short print." I understand that that sounds dumb, but you're right, "Super-short short print" is so different than that "super super short print" nonsense and something we can finally use. 

As for the proposal itself, I have no problem with "Super super short print," I have no problem with "Super-short short print," and I have no problem with "This is stupid, why does Topps have to produce rarer and rarer cards? They didn't do this back in my day when I collected cards in 1975. These gimmicks have ruined this hobby and need to die in a fire." (Or "TISWDTHTPRARCTDDTBIMY WICCI1975TGHRTHANTDIAF23648" for short) I've made my proposals, which were shot down instantly, so at this point, as long as a general concensus is reached and users can tell there is a difference, I don't care how it is done. But, I guess that's just me sitting on my ass not putting effort in to "get it done."

I can confirm another SSSP, I pulled #392 Luis Robert with no name on the front from my jumbo box. The code on the back ends in 117. I sent an inaccuracy report to add it. This will be the "e" version. 

I think Super-Short Short Print sounds good, We need to record that some SPs are rarer than others.

For future reference, does this mean that to use the SSSP term, the set in question would also need to have SSP, SP and base cards? It would seem that way. I can see this coming up someday so I'll ask now.
