I already rarely go to COMC much anymore. About a week or so ago I had to change my password to adapt to their update of insuring that passwords have at least 1 UPPER case letter, 1 lower case letter, and 1 special character (symbols and punctuation marks). My old password was just lowercase letters and numbers. Also for a long time I kept getting a message about my password having been "hacked" and a suggestion to change it, I just kept using it since I could still bet to the site, and I didn't see any ill effects of the hack.
Now I have to login with a more complicated password and try to read a funk combination of letters and number, which most times I have to request a change of the code so I can figure out what characters they want to have used.
I stick with COMC because I still have about 150some cards for sale over there. But only get one or two sales a year if I'm lucky. For some odd reason this year I have had 3 cards sell.

Four cards, now. I just bought one
Yes, I'm also annoyed by it. I'm annoyed by the fact that I have to log-in every time. I always have been.
Perhaps the most irksome thing to me, however, is the fact that when I enter my username, and then my password, I have to hit "tab" three times to get to the box to fill in the captcha. A minor annoyance to be sure, but irritating nonetheless.
-------------------------------
I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

It's a bit inconvenient but still less annoying than the picture captcha which some sites use.

I agree. I have to deal with one at work that makes the comc captcha process an absolute pleasure. (Well, not really but you know what I mean).

Not an inconvenience at all. Glad they implemented. They are locking their sight down for reasons known to them. It is making their site a bit more secure. I see no problems with that one bit.

Poor business model. I'm now on the site less, leading to me spending less there, meaning they are making less money. And from the looks of it, I'm not the only one who feels this way. Therefore, it's a poor business model. Secure, yes. But from what? Their customers?

Hardly a bother at all and a perfect business model. If it protects their site, good for them. Not gonna slow me down one bit.

I had a chat with (KY) a CS person when it started and they made some members change their passwords also. He did not tell me why they were doing this. He did state that they were starting to get blowback because of it but not enough to change it back or do something different. Other sites that I'm on the members are really upset with it. Appears to me over 50 to 1 not liking it. Most people state they will get used to it but not happy with the extra field to do and it will slow down the number of times they will log in to the site. As one member stated "How many hoops do I have to jump through to buy a card." If we know what the real problem was and why. We may not complain about it. (Some have asked if it was about BOTS for automatic buys)

How long have you worked for COMC?
