Corey, first of all welcome and as I tell all on their first post; I hope this is one of many. More company is a good thing. We have a great bunch of people on here and to me its like the common area in the library where all can meet and talk yet do what they camr to do. I hope your illness treatment is going well and you beat the crap out of it. =) As for your concerns an article I read said if you are worried about mail and parcels just disinfect them before interacting with them, a good spray on all sides should work, however then there is the inside. So like said before just use your common sense and go with what YOU feel is best. Any of us yahoos will understand, well most of us anyway!! LOL Again welcome to the hall of cardboard. (and printing plates I guess)

I just got my "curfew excuse forms" today! NC isn't in lock-down yet, but if it does, I need those forms to keep from being arrested for being out after curfew. I am kinda liking the lessened traffic lately, especially when the weather is not so good. But it's kinda eerie, especially on the high-traffic roads! I don't think I passed 10 vehicles on my 11.5 mile trip home tonight and I didn't even see a vehicle on the road for the final 6 miles!!! This is just so odd, but I'm glad people are trying to stay safe by staying home.
BTW, I got home about 10:20, not midnight.

Well I do not know how I missed this post. HUH ............... Interesting POV Felix. What changed your mind so easily in the unprecedented breifing on the 16th, what was it that was so strong for you to finally come on board. I have been enjoying my loved ones since before your post way back when. However I now have to tape simple to read letters on my mothers first floor window and smile at her as I am not allowed to see her. She is confused and angry. They are hoping to have a Facetime number and schedule up and running by Friday. My sister is going to see how well it works. I sure hope President Trump gets even for the terrible hoax we are all playing on him. Yup you can say I am a little bit frustrated this afternoon. Apologies to all.

We have been shut down in Arizona. Only essential businessess are allowed to remain open. We have 1 Walmart in my town and they were a 24 hour store until about a month ago when they changed to being open only 18 hours. Now they are open 16 hours so they can have crews stock the shelves while the store is closed.

Just want to express some gratitude to all healthcare professionals for all they do and to also share their message:
It is decisions, not conditions, that determine our fate in the future. And it’s the sum total of millions of individual decisions. And that’s why we can’t let up on the good decision-making…

Yeah, my son practices medicine in NJ and he told us today that he's volunteered to help out other hospitals that are now needing doctors because they're getting sick, too, and hospitals are becoming short-staffed. It's REAL and I applaud ALL our medical teams from the orderlies to cleaning people to cafeteria workers to nurses and doctors. And I'll include our police and firemen, too, as they're having to work overtime at very stressful jobs. Not to mention how much more appreciated teachers are for those who are seriously attempting to teach their kids at home. We'll make it, but we have to take these first steps to get a handle on it.

My home county issued a stay-at-home order today that starts Friday. That closes any remaining businesses not considered essential, but that's about all it changes. People can still leave home for needs like groceries, gas, the bank and medical attention (and work for those essential businesses).
It still doesn't affect me. If I'm not at work, I'm picking up necessities on my way home or I'm home until time to go to work again. And I work in the next county so all my running is there, where they still only have 2 confirmed cases. Guilford County has over 20 cases now, having jumped by 6 just today.
Mom told me today that the hospitals have police stationed at the entrances to turn away anyone who does not have a great reason to be there. They aren't allowing visitors in the buildings, including some one who is bringing somebody else in for a scheduled procedure. She was allowed in for her treatment, but one of them was canceled since it will also happen with her next chemotherapy next week. The hospitals are trying to save ANY supplies they can when possible. Even at my dialysis clinics, they have signs up saying "Our supplies are precious! Use only one mask per day (unless it is wet, soiled or torn)!".
