I messaged 49ants about purchasing a large lot of Royals cards from him (2700+ cards). I embedded the entire list in a transaction and he counted that he couldn't do it with the George Brett and Bo Jackson cards included. I removed those and re-submitted and asked him what he wanted for that lot. He countered with $150 + shipping. I accepted.
Fast forward and as he's pulling cards, he gets seller's remorse and messages me that he should have checked the list better because there are parallels and inserts and he's not sure it's worth the price offered up (his counter offer).
Fast forward a few days later and he says he's resumed pulling and will send postage shortly. He says $25 for postage so I paypal him that amount.
He literally did nothing to protect any of the cards. I'm completely blown away. No boxes, no sleeves, no foam, just tons of free space in the box for the cards to crash around and a crumpled up KFC bag and thin piece of loose bubble wrap.
Guess what happened. The corners got trashed on most of the cards. Surprise surprise.
So now I message him to try and make this right, and he says:
Sat, 11/9/2019 8:08 PM I was going to put them in boxes but that would have been at least another 30-40 dollars in postage and since you didn't seem to want to pay a fair price didn't want to charge you more postage.
"Didn't seem to want to pay a fair price." I literally paid the counter offer amount that he submitted to me.
I messaged him back:
Sent: Sat, 11/9/2019 8:30 PM So you made an executive decision to destroy the entire order instead of provide me an option on how you could ship it.
Next he says: Yes I made that choice because I didn't want to get stuck with them after all the time I took to pull them. My first choice was to cancel the deal after seeing the changes to the list but I went ahead and finished pulling them
TLDR:
He says pay $150 + shipping
I pay $150 + shipping ($25)
He ships and willingly decides not to protect a single card in the box.
Now I have a ruined order and a seller whose only option he's providing is that I ship everything back at my expense.
So my options are:
A) Keep the damaged cards
B) Send everything back and lose hours of time and waste $50 ($25 I paid him to ship and $25 to send them back).
I did, he has nearly 800 feedback with only one negative. A trade veteran like that should understand how to properly package 2700 cards. I have cards that people have donated that were packaged with more care than his. It's like he wanted them to get destroyed because he was bitter. If you're going to do that don't send them at all.
Sorry to hear about that. I'd say that's an anomoly with most members here. Please leave feedback for any transaction you complete as this thread will get buried within a day.

I am going to be honest. This post surprises me greatly, but there is NOOOOOO disputing the evidence.
I have traded with 49ants MANY times and never had any issues. Yes, they were " smaller" trades, and no money was involved. He always shipped on time and damage free, thus the positive feedback.
I can only hope this is a 1 time thing, and that he makes this deal right.
Can't really see the depth of cards involved from one pic but if I found someone willing to pay $150 PLUS shipping on 2700 low end cards I'd pack that up like Fort Knox and be damn grateful for it.
All I can say is how blown away I am about the lack of care and thought put into protecting the cards by that person. Wow! Wow! Wow! Hope you're able to work things out.
I too have had a few trades with him and never a problem. I am a bit shocked also. As always there could be some extenuating circumstance that he is going through, we don't know about, but, definitely not a good move on his part.
