Didn't see a Rahal interview after he had a chance to see what actually happened....
Pretty sure, at first, like the announcers, he believed he lost control.....

He knew he lost a tire straightaway. During the replay of the incident you could hear him say exactly that on the radio before he got out.

To me personally, don't recall a weaker/less competitive field in Cup for a long time.....
The way they talked about the 66, plus a couple others repeatedly in the way,
kinda missed the "Start and Park" days....
After about 20 laps, only saw 3 cars capable of winning 5/9/24....
Later the 18/48 ran well, but I never thought they were up to the former 3...
NASCAR is doing plenty to turn me off of Stage Racing....
Talking 7 or 8 laps to return to racing after a scheduled caution,
when one because of a minor wreck takes less time...
Eleven (11) laps at the end of Stage 3 for Newman's dinger was totally excessive
for a stage break....

I never really liked stages tbh. I think a race should be just that, a race from start to finish.
Another good win for Larson tho

Yeah, I never cared for the stages, and don't understand why they need to take so many laps to reset the field after each round. If they want to break it down like that they should freeze the field and not count the laps until the next stage starts.
Anyways, I thought the race was boring, and so glad I watched Indy because that was more exciting. I'm not too mad Helio won, and I wouldn't be mad if he won another one just to break the tie.

I was happy for Helio, he ran a great race and deserved it. It was so much better than the cup race. I like the Stages as it makes it more exciting and makes points more valuable. But I agree they have to figure out a way to get back quicker. I am starting to think NASCAR wants Chevy to win the cup this year, They seem to be so much faster on most race tracks. Hope everyone else can catch up and make for better season.

I really enjoyed the 500 too. Lots of great racing. I felt bad for Graham having to lose the race like that. I also felt bad for Daly. Hitting that runaway tire really messed up his day too. I kinda wanted Palou to win the race to see a different winner, but Helio did exactly what he needed to do to get by him and then hold the lead. I was very happy for Helio, but nowhere near as happy as he was to win the race!
The 600 was kinda boring. Not much happening at the front, but lots of battling behind the HMS guys. I still like the stages because it bunches everyone back up again a couple of times. Before the stages started, there were a lot of races that were just garbage b/c everyone got so spaced out that nothing happened on the track at all. Just a bunch of cars driving in circles. That still happens in the final stage sometimes, but usually at the same tracks. I'd rather be bored for a third of the race than bored for the whole race after a dozen or so laps. I do wish they wouldn't take so long to get back to green during the stage breaks though.
I can't agree that anything is favoring Chevy though. Yes, they have won 6 of 15 races, but Toyota has 5 wins and Ford has 4 wins. All 4 Ford wins were different drivers, but 3 of them were Team Penske. Three of the Toyota wins were Truex Jr. and remember that Toyota only has 5 cars in the field each week. Chevy has the most cars in the field every week, but only HMS has won for them this year. Childress and Ganassi have run pretty well this year though. I see a win coming for those teams some time this season. I still can't believe we are this far into the season and Hamlin and Harvick still don't have a win. I'll wrap this up by saying that I'm happy that Larson dominated the 600. Only b/c I picked him in my fantasy game and he helped me jump 4 spots in the standings! In the last 3 races, I've picked the runner-up at Dover and the winner the last two races to score 174 points: an average of 58 points per race when the normal maximum points is 60. I didn't start the season well and really needed to make up some ground. Gaining 6 spots in 3 weeks is awesome!

Just a bunch of cars driving in circles.
Miss the days of lapped cars rushing to get by the leader....
Lapped cars starting in one lane beside the others.....
No speed limit on pit road....
At Indy, Was nice to see the Female Driver with a mostly Female pit crew.....
