Those were supposed to roll out this season but the pandemic shut down all testing of them last year. I've been waiting for the carbon fiber bodies to make it to the Cup level. They have been fantastic in NXS. Where the new car benefits the younger teams is that the cost is much cheaper and they won't have a bunch of useless parts sitting around that they already bought and can't use for anything. While the current newest teams do have those parts laying around after this season, most were used parts bought from the big teams. They didn't pay full price for them or machine the parts themselves. This new car with cheaper cost and more re-usable parts makes all the cars cheaper to build and sponsor funding will go a lot further. Funding has been a big issue for several years now, even for the major teams.
For that last point, teams also get crew members (from pit road crew to building and engineering) from NASCAR's training programs. Universal Technical Institute has a NASCAR-specific training program that trains builders and engineers. NASCAR also has training programs in various areas for pit crew personnel. Not every team member in the infield came from another team at some point! You have to keep new people coming in all the time.

Have to wonder how the major suspension change will affect set ups,
that could be a minor set back to teams that have their books on tracks....
Might just be my old brain, but the term "Transaxle" just screams "Front Wheel Drive".....
No doubt new crew members come from schools and outside the series,
but can't believe more than a 1/4 of a team haven't been in the series for a period of time....

99% of the crews come from the other sports, Every year Hendrick has an open day, For all athletes to come down and try out doing different things pit related, which all teams can come and evaluate their abillties. It is almost like the combine that the NFL does. The reason I know this is my Brothers sister-in-law works for Hendrick Motorsports and is in charge of media and company relations and she sets all of it up.

I knew about that. I think it's a really cool thing for them to do.

Truck Race friday was pretty competitive...
Totally disappointed that they barely ran 10 Green Flag laps
out of the last 50 laps... :(

Bump!
I watched dover, I thought it was pretty good. Cool how Hendrick had a 1-2-3-4 finish

To me it was an ok race, Got boring alot of the race, Glad to see Bowman win. He doesn't seem to get the respect or airtime the rest of Hendrick Motorsports does. I love the fact that Suarez and Bubba had great runs as well as others. Was a frustrating race as a MTJ fan. But found out after he was trying new set up , Which should never hit that track again.

What do you guys think is going to happen to Aric Almirola at the end of this year?

More worried about a lot of the smaller teams themselves, the new car might
sideline a number of them.....
