There is usually at least one female driver in the 500, at least for the couple of decades. Recently has mostly been Danica and Milka Duno. But it was nice seeing Simona have an all-female pit crew and they did well. The pit road crew was all-female. The team is mostly female at about 75%. It sucked that she had the same brake-lock problem as a few other drivers did on pit road. I liked that NBC interviewed Simona and her crew chief after the race. I hope they keep making it into races and continue to progress.
As for the other 3 points, that's how people get seriously injured or killed. That's why NASCAR instituted those things. I think the greatest improvement to safety was adding a pit-road speed limit. The pit crews only have a firesuit and a helmet. They have NO protection from a car flying down pit road and wrecking into someone going much slower. I liked watching lapped cars try to pass the leader when the caution came out too, but that just means they are still racing when they catch up to whatever caused the caution, whether it is a wreck or debris. I'm fine with them freezing the field at caution and giving the free pass to one car. That battle to be the first car a lap down is sometimes more interesting than other racing on the track and it never stops b/c nobody knows when a caution will happen. As for the lapped cars restarting on the outside of the lead-lap cars, I'd be okay with that at the intermediate tracks. But that would be a disaster at tracks 1 mile or shorter and at tracks 2 miles or greater. Most are a lap or more down b/c they are not fast enough to keep up or had some damage or parts failures. They don't need to be racing the cars that are still in excellent condition and the fastest cars on the track.

Three of the four Hendrick cars have been on a rail for over a month....
Though the 48 won an earlier race, it hasn't kept up with the rest.....
Three seconds, then three wins, have to put Larson at the top of the list for
the Championship... Though anything can happen in those races....
After a medicore truck race Friday, Haley flew out to Iowa and replaced one of the
Indy drivers in the Stars of Racing Series (SRX), ran with some of the best
and finished second behind Tony Stewart......

I'm ticked off I missed the SRX race last week. It happened literally 10 minutes from my place.

Tired and trembling I am descending, will I have to stay here and live this life again?

The SRX race in Knoxville, Iowa was AWESOME!!! I absolutely loved that race. Hailee was kicking some butt. Mikey ran extremely well too. If Smoke hadn't been so dominant, that race would have been crazy at the end. I can't wait to see more from the SRX Series. So you all know, it looks like the rest of the races this seson will all air on regular CBS stations. I missed the first one b/c it was on CBSSN. I don't know why I don't get that channel on DirecTV when I get FS1, FS2 and NBCSN!
As for the Nashville Cup race, that was a great return to Nashville. Somebody needs to stop Larson from dominating though. It was an exciting race for the first half or so, but then Larson just ran away. Larson finishing 1st or 2nd for 7 straight races is just insane!!! He is just running away as the favorite for the title. He has more playoff points than all 3 of his teammates combined and half of the HMS wins this season!!! Those stats don't even count his win in the All-Star Race. I've always known that Larson was a superstar driver, but he was stuck with CGR from the beginning. Just look at the CGR cards now: Kurt Busch and Ross Chastain are barely inside the Top-20. Chastain has been making up a lot of ground lately though. If Ross had another 5 laps or so, he might have chased down Larson and made it a battle. But everyone between him and Larson in that last run made it hard on him. Ross lost a lot of time trying to pass those guys. I really enjoyed the "Return to Nashville" race, even though Larson dominated again. He can NOT keep doing that and a big test is coming this weekend. The doubleheader at Pocono is Saturday and Sunday. No way that Larson can win both!!! The Fords of Harvick and Logano have been lurking behind the Chevys lately. The Toyotas of Busch and Hamlin have been lurking too, but they just can't seem to finish a race. Somebody that isn't in a Chevy is going to win a race in Pocono this weekend!

They have to do something about the speed Hendrick has , Their is no one in the league. Altought as a whol;e I though tit was a great race. Of course the best part for me was Chase getting diusqualifed and lodelagated to last and losing the stage win, Made my fathers day.

I wasn't aware of what the SRX was the first week and just skipped it,
almost did this weekend also, nothing else on, so I tuned in.....
Now that I know what it actually is, will try and keep up with it....
All 3 races at Nashville, barely had any action at the front....
Some good racing now and then back in the field, really no actual racing after someone got the lead......
Once again Johnson spun his Indy Car around and finished last of the cars running.....
Two races, two spins, though hasn't torn up the car yet......
Please, someone get his Carvarna ads pulled... :(

The crazy thing about the Chase DQ is that he told them he had a loose wheel. The crew chief decided to leave him out there anyway. I bet he doesn't make that mistake again. If Chase pitted to fix the wheel or get all new tires, he'd have still finished in the low to mid-20's and kept the stage points and the playoff point for the Stage 1 win. Not pitting cost them everything but a single point. If I'm not mistaken, the crew chief also gets fined and suspended.
Bolo... I mentioned the SRX series in this thread a couple of months ago. But I completely forgot about the first race until after it happened. Like I said above, I couldn't watch it anyway. I'm glad the rest will be on regular CBS. It was a bonus treat for me that Hailee Deegan was in the first race that I got to see. I was a big fan of her father, so I root for her in whatever she's racing. I like that Brian also has a plan for her career. He wants her to stay in the Truck Series again next year before moving up to the Xfinity Series for 2 years before moving to Cup. Of course that plan depends on available seats in the higher tiers, but I think that's a good plan and it will work. I just hope she doesn't end up in the Cup Series with an under-funded team.
