Count me as one of those who believes the public health has higher priority than sports events. And I work in the sports and entertainment industry.

I would suggest those who don't believe in this virus do some research. It's just the tip of the iceberg according to those who work with infectious diseases for a living. They will all tell you it's not a joke, especially for those with underlying conditions. I have asthma and diabetes and those are 2 of the big factors aside from age as to whether or not you can weather this. Am I afraid? No, not yet. But, I am concerned. It gets passed without even knowing you had it. It may not kill you, but it could kill someone you know. I'm not listening to the MSM, I'm listening directly to the experts. MERS survived in 110 degree conditions. This won't necessarily go away when it gets warm. Do some reading....please. There's only been 3 confirmed cases of it in my little state of CT, but it won't stop there.
They are cancelling St.Patrick's Day parades, college and highschool events, and I can't see it improving any time soon. World economies are being affected big time, and this has yet to really spread in this country. Just saying...don't think it's too much too soon. According to experts, we are not prepared for this at all. I believe em.

I have not been recalled to active duty off of the Retired List, which I kind of expected after being on an exclusive North American pandemic prevention team. As a military and Homeland defense scientist & planner, I was able to work with some of the best & brightest on Our Continent from Canada, Mexico and the USA during the H1N1 scare & pandemic of 2008-2009. If this was serious for Our Continent, I would have been taken off the Retired List and recalled yesterday. This is being blown way out of proportion and being used against President Trump in a very evil manner. Everyone be safe, practice good hygiene and use common sense. Avoid panic, it is dangerous and detrimental to Civil Society. Of course We can be Friends, especially in this awesome Community of Sports Trading Card Collectors, as We are a rare breed . . .
Yours in The Journey- Felix

Yeah, I'm so sure that China, Italy and other countries are being devastated solely to insult the president. Yes, that's sarcasm.
As someone who has an immune deficiancy as one of my diseases, and diabetes, this is directly impacting my life. I've also turned off trading for the time being. I've decided not to attend some of the events I had planned to, including the New York International Auto Show.
While I certainly take plenty of precautions, and always have...the prevaling thought among the not-particularly-intelligent is this is made up by the media, which tells me they aren't going to take any precautions. I trust myself...I don't trust other people. Even less than before after reading Facebook today. Those idiots are probably going to cause people to die because they think it's fake. Some of them even have pre-existing health concerns of their own, but are such fools they still think it's fake.
Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz was trying to make a point about it being fake, and made it a specific point of touching every microphone and everything else he could after the last game. Now he's listed as questionable for tonight's game with illness. It's surely not this current virus, because they then would not let him play at all, but the fact that he caught something from his own stupidity is so telling about the modern mindset.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Billy, I think the Car Show was postponed until August anyway. I thought of you when I heard that on the radio.
I have asthma, and I work in Westchester County, NY (same county as New Rochelle, NY - you all may have heard of it by now - that's less than 10 miles from where I work). Probably means that someone from New Rochelle probably works in my building. I'm concerned, but not panicked. This is not fake. This is not ebola, but it's not a common cold either. Can you recover if you're a relatively healthy person? Yes. No doubt. Can it cause severe issues if you have other problems? Heck yes. Be careful. But continue to live your life.
