Well said Vytas!
Ryan, please introduce your son to NASCAR this week. The race is in Atlanta, a good track to start with. The actual action itself won't be affected, and fans are kept farther away than other sports to begin with. It may not be something he likes or knows anything about, but it's live sports. If you do, and he loves it, I will send a box of NASCAR cards to him when things get closer to normal.
-------------------------------
VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I just want to clarify that my last post was to Ryan, not V3. Apparently Vytas and I were typing at the same time. I edited it to add "rmpaq5".
I agree with Vytas too. Pre-action is better than post-action when something starts to spread across the population. As a sanitation specialist, every virus that starts to spread comes into my radar. Lucky for me that I have a strong immune system, but my job is to help protect those that don't! As soon as cases were reported in the US, I stepped up my game. That was several days before my company did so at the request of one of our clients. I'm the ONLY one in the company that has 2 clinics for that client and I'll do my best to keep anyone from dying at either of them for viral reasons. I made it through all 3 of those previously-mentioned epidemics without anyone contracting those viruses at any of my accounts. I hope to make it through this pandemic with the same results!
As for the toilet paper thing, what the hell are people thinking? How does that help anyone in any way to prevent them from getting Covid-19?! I'm completely confused by the rush for THAT product. Did anyone else see the stories about a company putting TP and hand-sanitizer in drop-claw machines? I don't recall all the details b/c it just seemed stupid to me. Toilet paper isn't going to help you against a virus in any way! As for the hand sanitizers, I don't use them at all. They are a flammable product and I don't want that on my hands at any time. Soap and water is just as effective and doesn't come with the possibility that a fire can happen ON YOUR HANDS from "sanitizer".
EDIT: Oh yeah, I meant to mention this before so I'm editing now. Ryan, take Billy's suggestion and I back it up. He might love the NASCAR race and you might like it also. NASCAR is going to be the only live sports on this weekend. Unfortunately, there might be some rain in the Atlanta area this weekend. I'm actually hoping it stays closer to me and therefore north of the track. I think the new package for that size of track has been awesome this year and is making the races much more interesting this season. Not one race has been dominated by a single car yet and most have had a half-dozen or more leaders for significant portions of each race. It's been a great season already and there have only been 4 races!

I'm late to the party. I live outside of Daegu, South Korea, where the biggest outbreak happened here, and I will assume most of you didnt follow what has gone on over here before the virus hit the US. Guessing a majority of you will disagree but I think all the suspensions of sports/schooling is a smart move to prevent the virus from spreading.
The reason it was spread here is because people went to church, a call center continued working and people continued to gather/hang out in large groups, which is exactly what sports fandom is about. The SK govt informed the public to avoid doing such things and has been able to test 15,000 people a day and quarantine a large number of those infected. Wash your hands frequently, wear masks (eventhough scientists say it doesnt really help), self-quaratine yourself, and to only go out if you need food/supplies. South Korea has done a great job thus far and I hope they continue to do so. The govt has been very transparent during this whole process. I cant confirm this but I believe people here dont have to pay for testing. I hope the US govt does the same for all of you (not holding my breath) and it appears they were already late in starting to move.
If anyone thinks everything should go on as normal.. not sure what to say to you, I certainly dont agree with your opinion. This can go on for another 3-6 mos before you see any progress in the US. The more people gather to do anything, the better chance it has of spreading. I didnt read every post, only the first page, but two NBA players caught the virus the pther day and one spread it to another. Now they have to go back and see who this player touched or was around while they were playing games. Its a domino effect and it will only get worth if these precautions are not taken.

UFC is still going...for now. But in the end, it's a huge inpact on the economy. Vince might not cancel Wrestlemania, but Florida may do it for him.
