Do you think it would be helpful to have a place where we could write down personal notes about another member. So If a member requests a trade a little icon would appear next to their name that would indicate that you have a note about previous trades. It could be used for good or bad notes. Like member shipped fast and was responsive or Member is hard to contact and waited too long for cards. I think this would be more useful then the positive percentage ratings when accepting or denying trades.
Thoughts?

I think this is a great idea. Right now I have several folders where I keep messages, from transactions. The folders have labels like, "scammers", "great to trade with", "difficult" etc.

I think this is a great idea. Obviously, the notes would be private for our own use. I currently have my notes in a separate Word document with member's addresses if I want to send them a random PIF. My notes on are all over place from great to horrible:
- Sent extra 2022 Topps! Send a PIF.
- Awesome TCDB member! Sent cards for nothing! Send a PIF.
- Orioles collector! Pinpointed Orioles lottery cards I needed for my set. Nice!
- Even trader 80s for 80s commons.
- Asked for a lot of Fleer FB stickers for 1977 Topps. Good trade.
- Great 100+ card trade. Commons for commons. No hassles.
- Vintage for vintage. No hassles.
- Cool trade! I sent a PIF and was thanked.
- Great trader! Send him some random PIF cards.
- Collects Oakland Raiders.
- Asked for a lot of Fleer stickers. I had to counter several times to get it even.
- Collects Saints cards.
- AVOID! Trader took forever to mail out cards!
- AVOID! Collects Ripken. Complained about value while I got slammed on postage sending a jumbo card.
- 70+ card trade. Likes history cards and Swell baseball.
- Sent a ton of cards in top loaders and penny sleeves. A+ on shipping!
- Great trader! Didn't thank me for a large 200+ card PIF I sent, so oh well.
- AVOID! Swapped out key insert cards in trade without notifying. Took forever to mail out.
- 83s for 81s. Even trade.
- AVOID! Asked for Fleer inserts for commons. Difficult to trade with.
- Decent trader. Sent a replacement card to make up for a missing card.
- AVOID! Sent damaged cards!
- Mariners collector.
- Cool trader. Fellow Topps set builder.
- Howard Johnson collector.
- AVOID! Whittled-down the trade taking out all cards of value on their side while asking for inserts. Not cool.
- Sent a ton of Orioles cards! Mets collector.
- Sent a 1966 PIF!
- Great vintage trader!
- Asked for a LOT of Griffey cards. Was hard to keep trade even.
- Fair 2020 for 2021 Topps trade.
- Collects everything! Has a big want list.
- Likes PWE trades.
- Awesome trader! Sent 1,000+ cards for 40. Must send them a PIF.
- AVOID! Slow mailing! Very lop-sided deal in his favor.
- Great trader! Send him some random cards!
- AVOID! Hard to trade with. Complained about trade down to the penny. Sent beat up 70s cards.
Hope the suggestion goes through!

I document this in an excel sheet. . It only tracks members that I've had issues with or a bad interaction with while trading. I also have a column for those who have been generous in their trading.

Bright Idea #1: If you didn't want to create a separate document or were away from that document for any reason, you could use an ongoing message to keep track of trade members and update it with replies. As an experiment, I created a message addressed to myself titled "Trade Members List". I'm surprised that the Universe didn't fold in on itself when I hit the "Send" button. It worked!

Ha ha. I was thinking the same thing. I have made a couple trades with Snyderart and was scanning the “Avoid” for anything that could be linked to me.
Seriously though, I think this is a great idea.

Isn't that what the comment field in the feedback section is for? Instead of just typing 'great trader', be more detailed and add in specifics of shipping time, packaging, extras, etc.
I think looking up a member's feedback comments (not just the percentage) helps in deciding if you should propose / accept a trade request.

I keep a word file with member's name and address so I can send out PIF. Several of them do have notes. Most of the notes are for members that tell me they do not trade. (Why have a trading list and trading turned on if you are not willing to trade). I color code them so if I send out a PIF to them this year. That way I can send out PIF to other members and not just sending cards to the same members year after year. I have gotten most of these address from other members so I figure they are members in good standing.
