Well, as far as I know there's isn't any sport where the last name is Lones. But I tried looking up first name Josh....holy crap! More than I realized! But I'm going to start collecting Josh Jung, hard part is trying to find people here I can trade with who have him to trade.

Yes I do, the original (correct) German spelling before it was changed when they arrived in America. I'm lucky; there's only one in the database and he has only 9 cards.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

How many of those 9 do you have?

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Just need the 1972 Sunoco. I haven't checked ebay in a while though.

Do little league and fantasy camp cards count? If so, then yes!
Otherwise, my surname is an uncommon variation of a variation. I could probably adopt Switzr1's list, I guess.

Collecting White Sox, Royals, and 1978 Topps Baseball. Trying to build a multi-sport HOF frankenset. Done is better than perfect.

I have yet to find a Pelto in any sport. There are 8 Peltola and 12 Peltonen with cards listed here, but I don't collect any of them. I have a second cousin once-removed who played in Finland's professional third tier and has my family's original last name, but he has no cards.
I did appear on a card when I worked with a junior team though, so there's that. Maybe I need to get the sets from those teams listed on here...

Without searching, the only Dawkins I know off the top of my head in US sports are Darryl, Johnny, and I believe an Andre (from Duke) in basketball and Brian from the NFL.
The only card I made any effort to collect — and that was minimal at best — was Darryl's 1977-78 Topps RC.
