A few things, since I actually have a day this weekend that's acting like a weekend day.
I looked at and recorded the three 1950s Cubs cards that came in the mail over the week.
I stained the two shelves I'm adding to my Last Card of Every Hall of Famer display. Perhaps tonight I'll put the four parts together. Probably won't get to add them to the rest of the display until next weekend.
I'm adding the serial numbers of all my graded cards to my Excel sheet and here. Completely useless task, I think, but it gives me an excuse to look at the cards.
Similarly, I think I'll continue to rearrange the older cards in my binders. I organize my complete sets into teams. I keep incomplete sets in numerical order. But it occurred to me as I completed various Cubs sets from the years, that I'd prefer to keep the old sets in teams and that I the only reason I put them in numerical order was to see what I needed. But that's all accurately recorded now, so I can put any set that I'll never complete (pre-1965) back into team order. Besides, it gives an excuse to look at the cards, which, all modesty aside, often amaze me.
Happy collecting, everyone!
