I just had a pleasurable Saturday morning (started at 0515 and just finished). I picked up some vintage cards yesterday as well had received some in trades the last couple of days. I just finished entering everything and sliding them into my binders. Today, I saw my vintage Topps needs (1952-1980 inclusive and including the Canadian versions of 1952 & 1954 as well as the 1975 Minis) drop from 3323 to 3116 cards needed or 17.71% of the total cards (17592) in all of those sets. I also added 2 more cards to my 1955 Bowman set and 1 of the last 3 cards needed for my 1970 O-Pee-Chee set (the last 2 are commons - just need to find them). Though many cards were commons I did add several HoF especially in the 1966 set.
Now to finsih adding the larger trade I received last week and to sort through the rest of the pick up from yesterday, much of it 2019-2021.

that's 6% drop in needs, impressive. My morning is about an hour in (started at 530am). Sitting outside, drinking coffee and playing with the dog. Reading about baseball, some news (focusing on postivite articles)

Slight miscalculation - it is a 1.28% drop, not 6%.

I used the 3323-3116 numbers.
Either case it's 200 cards, a good amount!

My morning started at 630. I packaged 2 trades to send out and made 2 trade offers. Had breakfast with my wife and youngest daughter and currently enjoying my coffee. I've got some chores to do in the backyard today: pull some nails out of some old boards, pull some deck blocks out of the ground to move the shed and get the BBQ ready.
Hopefully later today I can get to the stack of cards I need to enter and store from some trades I recently received.
It's also 'Super Hero Saturday' so will be watching a Marvel movie with my son tonight (we are making are way through all the movies in release order. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol2 is next)

Nice, Bru. I've been getting the urge to buy some vintage and have an order pending on Sportlots that I'm contemplating. Maybe you've spurred me to just bite the bullet and do it.

Now I see. I use the percentage of wants against the total cards produced. I keep an excel sheet for Topps and OPC right through to the last production.

Very pleasurable, indeed. I love getting a big lot of vintage cards, and then going through the many steps I go through before they're officially part of the collection: taking them off my wantlist; entering them here; putting them on my have list and putting in approximate values; looking at every card, front and back and reading virtually every word and stat; and then finally incorporating them into their binders.
So, other than the 5:15 a.m. thing, sounds like a great morning.

Nature called at 5:30 and wife was up so i stayed up (will regret later!). Packaged an accepted PWE swap and pulled a bunch of a new proposal wants which I had to counter - a gremlin stole one of said wants...spent a half hour chasing that gremlin with no success! Got the rest ready to go, assuming we're still gonna go with an adjusted swap (sure hope so...could really use the elusive 2021 Heritage he offered from a scarce Walmart find)! Then I located my 1999 Topps Phillies dupes for a buddy of mine and am awaiting his wantlist (no, he is NOT a TCDB member, prolly keeps his wantlist in his head 😁 ). Now enjoying (finally) a cup of coffee and will soon continue my never ending card organization efforts...maybe I'll find that missing trader! Have a wonderful day, everyone!!

You know v3, every time I am adding vintage cards, (and other than keeping a have list, my steps are very similar), I think of you and your collection.
