Possibly useful information to some. I tend to buy unopened material, usually hobby boxes or retail boxes if hobby is not available. There the difference seems to be that for a hobby box, there will be only a few duplicates and you will end up with most of the set. The cards seem to be random in the packs from a hobby and retail box.

For Topps 2007 baseball series 1, I ended up getting a box of rack packs. There are 24 rack packs with 22 cards in them. I hadn't gotten rack packs before, so I was surprised to find that in this case, I was able to open just 15 packs (330 cards) and there were NO duplicates and one card for every card in the basic set. In this case, if I wanted to complete the master set, I would only need to track down any variant cards.

I like this set a lot. I’m not sure if it’s the crisp photos or the black base border design...it’s just one of many great Topps designs. They have some ugly ugly sets out there and this is not one of them. Sorry folks but the rating is too low. Please comment on why you would give this set such a low rating so that I may learn something I obviously don’t understand or know. Thanks!

Not all the Generation Now cards were from the 1st and 2nd series. They also distributed them in the traded set, but they are only listed here as it to imply they were all from one series.

20th anniversary of my all-time favorite set. It also sort of reminds me of the 1971 Topps set.
