Love the idea! Maybe you can add the party affiliation, too. Also, what if they stunk at both!

Dick Schafrath - former Ohio State Senator; Browns player And a Canadian paralympian that I don't believe has a card anywhere, Senator Chantal Petitclerc.

Awesome list. Never thought about this, but knew only of Kane AKA Glenn Jacobs. If you were looking to expand on the holding office criteria to running for it, I could include NASCAR driver Hermie Sadler who ran for Senate District 17 in VA this year (although he lost). It seems there was another NASCAR driver as well, but can't recall for certain at the moment or find anything from a brief online search.
While still an active VFLer, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Victoria as the MLA for St. Kilda. Served 1964-82.
Maurice Britt, Lt Gov Arkansas George Fleming, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Fleming_(American_football)

Christian Estrosi, former motorcycle racer and current mayor of Nice, France.
Currently on the list, Ibrahim "Obby" Khan was re-elected yesterday. His closest rival, Willard Reaves, was also a former Winnipeg Blue Bomber with cards in early 80's Jogo sets.
Reaves has been a candidate a few times, but never elected, so does not qualify.
May I suggest Bob St. Clair, a member of the NFL Hall of Fame (49ers), who served as councilmember and Mayor of Daly City, CA while still an active player!
Byron Whizzer White was also a U.S. Supreme Court Justice Jack Kemp was also a Vice-Presidential candidate in 1996
Correct me if I'm wrong, although confirmed by the Senate, Supreme Court Justice is not a political office. Jack Kemp previously included.
Responding to your last comment: a Supreme Court Justice should not be political.
Corey Holmes, formerly of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, was a mayor of the small town of Metcalfe, Mississippi.
