It would appear the sparkle is on his hand.

Not on the knob. Look at the top hand between the thumb and index finger.

Seriously, those sparkle parallels are the worst. I have a hard time finding the sparkle even when I have the description in front of me on some of those.

A man has to have goals — for a day, for a lifetime — and that was mine, to have people say, "There goes Ted Williams, the greatest hitter who ever lived."

Ok. I see it now but whoever wrote in that note 2 needs to learn the difference between a bat knob and a batting glove. As for the scan having been uploaded, I initially thought it was the wrong scan with the real card showing the bat knob. After all, did you note who uploaded the scan? One of our most reliable.

I am (very slowly) making my way through my variation collection and trying to update scans of both fronts and backs of cards for some of the rarer variations to make sure that the codes are actually correct. At the rate I'm going, it will take me a long time before I can get to 2014 (currently in 1989!), but I hope to eventually clean up all of the scans and notes for those if updates are needed.

I hated the sparkle cards. Glad they seem to be gone for at least a while.

I am not familiar with baseball at all, but, is that an intended parrallel?
I am hoping it looks better/more noticable in hand because that looks like a tiny blob of white to me.
I would never notice that — at least not in the scans — if the exact position had not been pointed out!

After you see several of the sparkles you'll notice it's more than "a tiny blob of white", but still not a big deal and certainly one of the worst VARs in my opinion. Nothing I'd chase.
