When I saw this post I thought I may be able to help but I only have 16 cards. I figured it best to wait until the CL's were done to verify what little I have. I am of course under the impression that the base work on the variations has already been done. If not I can take a look sooner.

I've just started changing the cards already listed to be one of the versions, but it's not complete. It always amazes me when there's 5 or 6 people who are like "Get these added please" and when I ask a couple questions to be able to do it for them, crickets.

How many cards does it affect? "All of them"

Are you sure? "Yes, all of them"

I go look, and see checklists don't even have that printing on them. So it can't be "all of them".... 

i sorted through one batch beside the check list the onlty other i've found with out is the Leaf Set cart which also has no copywright line.

Thanks. That means 7 total cards are not affected (6 checklists and 1 "Leaf Set" card).

I'm about to get back into this.

Just so we do this completely NOW and I never have to look at this set again after this:

Base set - 521 cards affected
Black Gold parallel set - 521 cards affected
Gold Rookies set - ???????

I am up to card #160 on COMC, with card quantities of 5 or more in the set card #'s 78,144,154,157, &160 are only found with INC
(first series), probably should try to confirm INC. with these cards

Should I stop looking?
 
I have already posted about John Kruk 68 confirmed INC. & about 8 more on Ebay INC. (not a single copy of INC confirmed)

#78 with INC. has been found.

I've got both versions of 144, 154, 157, & 160.

I am not involved in the research on this but here is a list of the 16 cards I have to verify. Maybe this will help save someone a little time verifying.

INC. (w/period) 209, 213, 250, 261 264 do exist.

INC ( no period) 196, 208, 217, 228, 231, 233, 251, 253, 254, 257, 431 do exist

Good point.  Maybe a distinguish between picture variations vs text variations?

Overall though, the earlier suggestions may have been better though.  What one collector sees as a big enough difference that they want both versions may be considered minor to another and just getting any version for their want list would be considered enough.

And this is why Admin decided that these should all be listed as Variations and not parallels. This way, those who want to collect them all has the ability to do so (like they did when these types of differences had been listed as parallels) and those who don't mind which version they have can collect a set with having only one of each card, no matter which version it is. That was a more recent thing (about 2 years ago, maybe).
