- One Black Gold card inserted per pack.
- Bonus Cards (Leaf Gold Rookies) were numbered BC-1 to BC-24 and were inserted approximately 1 in 6 packs.
BC-1 to BC-12 were inserted in Series 1 Packs
BC-13 to BC-24 were inserted in Series 2 Packs.
The Set is numbered 1-527 with "The Leaf Set" card being the 528th card in the set, although this card has no number.
Series 1 = 1-264
Series 2 = 265-527 + The Leaf Set Card
One "Gold Edition" card was inserted per pack. This is a 528 card set that mirrors the regular set, with the same checklist and player photos on the fronts and backs of the cards. The only differences are:
Front of the card: Has a black border instead of a gray border, the Leaf logo is in gold instead of gray, and the team logo in the lower right is replaced by a gold baseball with a motion effect, similar to the Dodgers logo motion effect.
Back of the card: The back of the card is gold instead of gray and "Gold Edition" is printed at the top middle next to the Series number. - There are no Philadelphia Phillies cards in Series 1, the only team not included in the first series.
- #13 Mike Mussina - UER: 6th line of the write-up on the back, "With the Cardinals..." should be "With the Cardinal..."

My mind is blown. I opened a box from a Factory Sealed Case of series 2 and the box yielded both versions of the cards INC and INC. but never a variation of the same card!
