Hailee actually climbed up to 11th at one point. I thought she did very well as she was hanging right with Harvick and Bubba for most of that race. Those three names were back to back to back for the majority of the race. I'm sure she learned a lot from them.

The only problem with tnat Billy is real dirt tracks cant handle the people. Not enough space for all the trucks let alone the capacity for the fans. Jeff

I posted the same thing about Suarez over on NUTS. That was surely a big boost for his Cup team.
I also agree with Shaw about the real dirt tracks. They just can't handle the crowd or the equipment.

Newman was a dirt racer before he came to NASCAR. I think Ricky had a lot of experience on dirt too. I thought Harvick did really well on the dirt. He may have finished in the teens in both races, but he's never been a dirt racer and he's in his 40's. So that wasn't a bad showing for him.

I was just reading along and was about to say the same thing. With limited capacities in lots of places still, now would be a great time to try out real dirt tracks.
I liked the Bristol race because of the novelty, but I think I would enjoy it a lot more if it was on a real dirt track. Even if they are just exhibition races, I think they would still get a lot of fans hyped. Even more, even with less fans at the race, I'm sure it would do well with TV ratings. Maybe they could do like a 300 lap race, with 20 cars running the first 100 laps, 20 more in the next 100, and the top 10 drivers in the first two heats battle it out in the last 100 laps.
On a somewhat different topic, but the same, I wish the IROC series would return, or at least something similar with drivers from all forms of racing being a part of it with similar cars. Even if current driver can't do it, retired drivers like Gordon, Jr., Carl Edwards, and others could do it if it was maybe one race a month. They wouldn't have to be confined to the same tracks NASCAR runs and could use dirt tracks, road courses, rovals, and whatever else. It would give a shine maybe to smaller race tracks or even prove as testing sites for future NASCAR tracks.
