I so love baseball but I have mixed feelings about this. Are you ok with the DH being implemented in the National League? Are you ok with extra innings beginning with a man on 2nd base? Those changes and others will be part of the 2020 season (assuming it's not cancelled by the coronavirus). I am not OK with those two changes but I don't have a significant say in the matter. I think even most players also oppose those changes. But changes have always been made to MLB baseball, such as playing night games, implementing the DH in the American League and lowering the mound height in 1969. So I guess we'll adjust one way or another.
And even if MLB does actually start the season in late July, there is no guarantee that the boss (aka coronavirus) will let the season end with a World Series champion. I won't be surprised if we see future baseball articles referring to the 2020 season as "the season that was stopped before it could get started" or "the aborted 2020 season".

I've got mixed feelings, too. As an old codger and somewhat of a purist I'm not on board for the changes, but have read that the MLBPA is in favor of the DH because it extends careers.
I find the other rules changes, and if I'm not wrong there's more than simply the "Man on 2nd" rule that's been added, are more of a way to attract the less-than-interested or non-sports fan.
No telling if the coronavirus becomes the true ruler in this case and prevents the actual start or finish of this season. With almost 2/3 of the season lost already, I'd just as soon skip the season - and baseball is my first love.

DH in both leagues - YES. Should have been done years ago.
Extra innings start with putting a man on second base - NO. This will give a huge advantage in strategy to the home team.
Starting and playing a 60 game season with so much uncertainty - NO! NO! NO! Wonder what Philadelphia thinks.

Glad for baseball. Just really wish the DH had been abandoned not added. So hard to watch games with a DH. In fact, I normally don't even watch my team when they play in a AL ballpark. Guess I don't have an option this year.
I have watched leagues that have the runner on base in extra innings. Takes all the strategy out and makes extra innings very boring.

I've said it before, if MLB wants to test drive different things - universal DH, extra inning runners, robot umpires, whatever - this would be the season to do it.
That being said, all it's going to take are a few players to test positive to completely shut this season down. I'm not entirely convinced we're getting 60 games.

I'm mixed on it. As a baseball fan I'm looking forward to it, but the virus thing has worn me out on a lot of things.

Man on 2nd rule I think has NO place at all in the game.....I would much rather watch a 10, 15, 19, 24 inning game than see each team start like that.....in no other sport is a team given an advantage before they take to offense.
I'm torn on the DH. I do see that it extends careers.....but I do like to see the pitcher bat! If you want to change something around, GET RID OF INTERLEAGUE AND UNBALANCED SCHEDULES!!!! Interleague was good for a local rivalry gimmick, but that's worn off. Mets/Yankees, Cubs/White Sox, Indians/Pirates/Reds.......bah.....go back to playing each team in your league 10-12 times...As an Indians fan, I'm getting tired of seeing Detroit, KC, Chicago 19 times a year and the Yankees once at home...
my rant on baseball :)
