I don't find this set anywhere in our non-sport database, as I'm sure you searched, too. Interesting set. Which cards did you get? SG, perhaps?
Do you play guitar, Bill?

First I've heard about them. Don't appear to be in the database. Looks to be a 50 card set that originally comes in a tin container. One one oddball auction site (reverb.com?) has a "set" of 22 cards the listing said they came in the string sets during the 1990s. Then there is this listing for a full set with the tin at reverb https://reverb.com/item/6279295-gibson-trading-cards-full-set-w-collectable-tin-more-1999 hmm lists it as coming from 1999. In my little research google search it seems they came as a full set in tin container, and also in packs (of who knows how many) and in packs of the guitar strings. Maybe the packs were just in the packs with the strings so maybe just 2 ways.

Are there any Rookies (RC) in the set?
Looks like it's not the only set of Gibson Guitar cards. Found 1993 MJ Prod. set of cards on ebay. I wouldn't mind having the guitar cards of my favorite guitarist's models.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Hmm so apparently there is a "series 2" that was produced in 1993? Or a Series 2 in '93, Wonder if the 1999 for "series 1" is accurate? Looks like more research is needed for these cards.

Hmm? So in this age of prequels and sequels, Series 2 came out 6 years prior to Series 1? (Not a serious post.)
