I particularly get a bit worried when that email shows up from TCDB after cards have been received. I always fear the worst about cards missing, or a complaint, etc. I wish there was some way to make it less vague before finding out via the trade transaction page, but I should probably just loosen up a bit. :)

Received several msgs this month for transactions that occured several months before...
Put it down to server errors that just retransmitted the msg stuck in a que or something...
Irritating yes, makes you wonder if you messed something up...

I take that as a sign that you care about living up to your end of the trade. I've received cards with no protection whatsoever, just a card in an envelope ( I would never do that, but the card wasnt damaged so although I was unhappy I still got the promised card in good condition). I recently completed a large trade for me (75 cards) and although I thought I did a good job packing/protecting the cards (trade went off without issue) The trading member did a better job of packing/shipping and I was "mad" that I could've packaged them better.
Something that I learned early on in trading is that my priorities/questions/concerns dont always align with other people, so I feel communication is important (thats not to say I havent had smooth trades with 0 communication, but every time there has been an issue its usually because of poor/no communication) lol I tend to overcommunicate, but would rather do that rather than assume something or guess.
May not be what youre talking about, but random thoughts? lol

Can’t say get that feeling, but I wish checking the transaction would clear ALL notifications on it. Currently, when the member updates as “received” and then “completed” , I need to view the transaction twice, once with each update’s link, to clear the notifications.

Sometimes. I've been in the hospital for the last year and a half and for a large part I had trades I couldn't get out.. I was at the hospital, my cards were at home..
It gets overwhelming sometimes, so I tend to avoid till I'm in a better headspace. I am now.

Yes I get a little nervous myself but I would rather have a notification that I have a message than not get anything at all and there is a problem
I strive to keep my 100% feedback although there I feel I should have been docked for shipping late. Sometimes it's not my fault othertimes thinking I sent out bu didn't.

I would rather have constant communication than guessing, or not knowing if there was an issue that could be addressed.

Hey, based on some of the recent replies, I just to be sure that folks know that my thread isn't about not wanting the message notification at all or that the messaging in the transaction isn't useful. It's about the vagueness of the notification and worrying what it might mean once cards have already been sent/received. It just might be nice to have the message itself in the notification, so that the worry doesn't linger as the site loads, but again, I might be the only one experiencing this momentary concern. Probably not worthy of a feature request.
I think David657 said it well for me... ultimately, one just wants the other person to be satisfied.

I've been there too. I dread opening a message to see a "By the way..." type message. I hate screwing up a trade, and I've done it a few times, that I have a tendency to think the worse first. Then I get a simple Received and Completed message. Or a "Thanks, it was great". All that worry for nothing.
