I have been noticing lately that more trades are coming with no transaction ID. I know it seems like a small thing but please put the transaction ID someplace in the trade. If you have more than a couple trades in process it can get to be work to figure out which transaction the package is for without going through all your ongoing trades, if nothing else write the transaction id on the back of the envelope please.

Along those lines: please be conscious of writing on the envelope that you don't leave an indentation on the cards enclosed. Of course that depends on your packaging of the cards but a ballpoint pen can leave marks pretty easily. My advice, for what it's worth, include ID number on an enclosed note.

I just put a small 'stick-em' in my packages with a quick thank you, user ID, and transaction number.

Yep...with 10 to 15 going at one time its takes some time to find a transaction if the transaction number is missing. Sometimes I can find it by the name on the envelope if the member name is close to their actual name.I know I have forgotton to put it on myself a few times, but I do try to make sure its on there for easy reference.

With everything going on in the world, and the prominence of sports cards in the news, I would recommend not making any markings on the envelope that indicate there are cards inside.

Yeah happens to me all the time. I had special cards printed with my user name and a place for me to write in the transaction ID. If you don't want to pay a little like I did for cards, at least include the information on a sticky note or write it on the cardboard. It's not that difficult, people are lazy, way the world as gone over the years.

Admittedly, when I had just begun trading on here, that was something which hadn't really crossed my mind. As I made a few more trades, I took notice of what exactly I was recieving and how it was packeged ect. That would be my best advice for anyone who is new at trading, look at EVERYTHING in the envelope you recieve. Chances are, it's all there for a reason!
P.S. I definitely agree with Dan, less is more sometimes. I'm not sure if I should admit it, but sometimes I refer to envelope contents as "Photos/Documents" which is not incorrect per se, but not dead-on accurate either

I write a small "thank you" note with the Transaction ID on a Post-It note, and just stick it on the packaging before putting it on the envelope.
I've gotten a couple of envelopes without the transaction ID, and I was able to find them based on the mailing address, but I agree it's inconvenient, especially when you're having a lot of trades going on at the same time. It's just a small courtesy for your fellow traders to get the transaction ID somewhere on the package.
