I would say, yes. The first pitch inserts with Topps are all linked to a team that shows the depicted person throwing out the first pitch in that stadium.

Honestly it's 50/50 for teams being tagged here. This card (IMHO), I would say No, it should not be tagged to the Yankees. There are other presidential first pitches that are not tied to teams. There are also other non-presidentail people that are tagged to a team. I think it MIGHT...very loosely fit under this guidline for tagging teams...
If a player is wearing a jersey that differs than the team named on the card, the team associated with the card should be the team named on the card
Translating this into the "First Pitch" cards......if the person throwing the pitch is in a jersey/team uniform, then tag the team, but if not, then it should be left to no team.
Examples:
No Team - https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/54466 ; https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/190809/1992-Tuff-Stuff-Presidential-Pitches
Team tagged - Any of the recent "First Pitch" subsets in Topps.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Agreed, no team, so I took care of it.

These are the things I see more and more of as the active membership has grown. Today I saw a card of Howie Long tagged to George Brett because George Brett is in the picture. That could really open up a can of worms if we have people doing that. I did nothing to the tag but really was in disbelief.

I don't remember if it's mentioned in the FAQ or the more detailed document, but in general on this site:
-- Card for solo player/person and identified as such = only that person gets linked
-- Card for multiple players/people and identified as such (e.g. "Team Leaders" or "Top Prospects" or "Rookie Stars") = only those people get linked
-- Team Card / Team Photo, no specific players identified on front = no links to people
-- Team Card / Team Photo, manager/coach identified on front = only the manager/coach gets linked
-- Checklist, no specific player images identified on front (e.g. your standard "1-100" checklist) = no links to people
-- Checklist, specific player image(s) recognizable but not actually identified on the card (e.g. a player photo in the background of a checklist) = Name field should say "Checklist", and I've seen cases with or without links to the player (What's the rule on these?)
-- Checklist, specific player images identified on front (e.g. a "Young Guns" checklist) = only those people get linked
That last one can get confusing if "CL" isn't in the Note1 field; otherwise it would appear to be a regular card from the checklist view page.
There was an IR submitted the other day asking us to link players seen on the front of a Team Card (which should have been rejected) .... not sure how that one ended up because it was resolved out. In general, we do not link background players, and in the case of this Bowman card, we don't link "background" teams

That was the card. My opinion, it should not have been linked in the first place. If we allow that, there would be a lot more cards linked to players that are in the picture of the card that is meant to depict one player.
