Is there or is there not a rule against posting people's personal info in the forum?

I saw the best cards of my generation destroyed by creases, soft cornered hysterical edge wear, dragging themselves through the hobby shops at dawn looking for a top loader...

I don't think it's a rule per say, but I would call it bad practice. And yes, I am aware of an address being posted in the forums earlier today. Personnally, I would be more than p.o.'d if someone took my personal info and made it public.

Names, Addresses, email, phone numbers are examples of Public domain, Personal Info examples are Birthdates, race, religion, SSN

True, but one has to actively serach for it. I've seen things like that posted on here in a negative manner which can lead to bad things. There's a reason why Admin gave the option on whether to allow friends to see and addres or not.

I saw the post in question. I do not recall seeing an address in the post. I recall seeing a name and a city/state, both of which were available on the user's profile.
I did see the full address in the "Feedback" section of the member in question. Admin can edit or remove feedback should circumstances warrant it.
While it doesn't make it right or wrong, I do not believe the member who posted the address did so spitefully or with poor intentions. He was advised by another member in another forum to keep track of the user's address. It has happened before where scammers have populated the site using three, four, five usernames - meaning that comparisons and connections can be drawn only via addresses. Unfortunately, it appears it was taken too literally and the full address was listed in the feedback. Still useful, still probably a little too far. Draw your own conclusions.
Finally, remember that Admin does not usually monitor forum posts. The best way to get a response from him is to message him directly.
Edit to add that I just went back to the forum in question and the post that contains the personal information was edited this afternoon, before I saw it. So my first point likely stands corrected.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

Yes, he posted the address and then removed it via the edit function.

I don't see anything wrong in posting someone's address if the person is scamming others. The address is not confidential personal information. And what if the person in question takes offense? Is he going to file a report that because he was frauding some honest and good people on a site, someone decided to make his address public knowledge? Ever see a drug pusher report that someone stole his drugs?
So now we have a repeat, multi-ID scammer in Georgia and another single (so far) ID from Tennessee. If you receive trade proposals from either of these states from someone who is new to the site, ask to receive the cards first. Unfortunately they only get exposed here in the Forums (and some people don't even want that) where many members / traders don't even spend any time in, and in the feedback which we all hesitate to put anything negative in giving more time and praying that the person will come through. By the time the fraud is exposed, he makes away with a few more trades and someone else's valued cards. I still think a list of shady ID with names and addresses should be kept for easy access to all members. If you make the list, then you probably don't have a leg to stand on as far as not having your info made public.

I posted the information on the scammer.
I initially posted his adderss and then deleted it, but his name and city, state are still there. My intention was to warn everyone on the site of his actions and to try to prevent the scam from continuing. Simly posting his username is useless as he can easily create multiple user accouts. I have already received peronal messages from users who received trade offers from him and were able to decline or ignore them based off my posts.
If my actions are against the board policies, then my apologies. I will accept the consquences.

I post videos on YouTube of my trades and my collection, busting packs, etc. Take a look and leave some feedback! https://youtube.com/user/brodiescomics https://leagueofcomicgeeks.com/profile/brodiescomics
