I'm not going to give this moron any publicity by mentioning his name, but some sociopath just cut a 1/1 card in half in an Instagram video because he was having a hissy fit. Since we know for sure the card no longer exists and can never be scanned or collected, should the place for it still exist on our checklist? 

As far as I know this is the first time ever we know for sure that an entire print run of a card has been destroyed.

I don't think it should be removed. But add a mention that card has been destroyed.

Knowing the hobby manufacturers' greed, I am sure another will show up in the market. 

Perhaps it should now be listed as a 0.5/1 and add another to the set?

His card, he can do what he wants with it.   1/1  are riduculous.       I used to put cards in the spokes of my bike.

This idea sounds more appropriate. An a and b version of the card.

I understand your point NJ, but respectfully disagree. I do agree that 1/1 cards are annoying. But ya know what? I'd love to have one. I'd love to have a couple. I'd love to spend money on joining high end breaks like that. Even better, I wish I could make a living at doing the breaks themselves and it was my job, instead of sitting behind a desk at a bank every day. 

But I'm not that lucky. I don't get to do stuff like that. And actually, I don't think anyone on this site does. So to see a grown man throw a hissy fit (and Billy's right, that's exactly what that was) because someone criticized him and he reacted like that, I get upset. It saddens and frustrates me that the same hobby you described no longer exists, both from a manufacturing and a consumer standpoint. This is the way of the hobby now, in my opinion, and when people like this have the control over it, it worries me.

Anyone else remember getting blasters at Wal Mart of some off-the-wall mid-2000s Fleer product for $10? Seriously. Now you pay twice the price for half the cards and the hook is one guaranteed manufactured hit. And it keeps getting worse. A little off topic but I always think about that when evaluating the card landscape myself.

As far as the end result? Social media is a weapon. Did I mention I saw someone tweet about it? Plenty of people are tagging Panini in the replies. If this product is still being produced, they'll make another copy of this card and insert it into more packs, would be my bet.

I understand what you directed it at.   I appreciate your comments.   Also,  I didn't view the clip, not about to waste precious time doing so.    Also, I might add "sociopath" is someone who harms society.   He harmed no one.    It actually drew a laugh out of me.   Just like the movie "Network"....he was mad as hell as wasn't going to take it anymore.    Would people have been happier if had done to a "one of ten", thus driving up the price of the remaining ten?    Again, if the hobby is about collecting, Topps and other companies are missing the point when they produce a card that only one person can have in his hobby.    Good discussion to end the old year.

So what was the card?? It's the only thing I'm interested in.
