This has brought up several times but it doesn't seem to register with many members.
PANINI CHECKLISTS SHOULD NOT BE LOADED HERE GOING OFF PANINI'S CHECKLISTS
They are almost never correct as Panini releases them. Very few of their Inserts are simply numbers, most are combinations of prefixes and initials(which Panini is not consistent with)
If you don't have the cards or images of the ACTUAL cards, please don't load the checklists. It is much more work to correct these than it is to do them right in the first place.
The unfortunate truth is that most of the members who insist on just posting checklists to get the points are probably not paying any attention to these forums but I guess it's worth a shot to get their attention.
Maybe there should be a way to penalize repeat and chronic offenders. Instead of awarding 5 points, maybe deduct 10 points. The growth of Inserts and parallels of these Inserts just adds to the problem. Entering an incorrect checklist and them just copying the parallel checklist is an easy way to add points but it just complicates the problem of correcting the mistakes. It takes alot more work to clean up the mess than it does to make it
Sorry for this rant, but the number of checklists being found with these recurring mistakes is truly annoying and seems to be getting worse.

Panini is THE WORST!!!! I don't know if I added any checklists from their website before I figured it out, if I did let me know... I don't think I did, but if I did it was cause I was new and had cards from the set that I wanted to catalog here

Maybe admin could limit adding checklists to level 7/8’s ? At least then there might be better chance of not having a total disaster uploaded.... because currently the points farmers don’t care about being correct, they just want the boost their totals

Don't the "points farmers" (that's funny by the way) just end up as level 7 or 8 anyway?

Not if they can't add incorrect CL's anymore! Also, it would take many thousands of CL's just to get to Level 8 anyway.

Sadly, most of the careless uploaders are in fact Levels 7 or 8 already, so that wouldn't help matters. (I wish it would.)
I just wish people who really don't care about getting the checklist right would just walk away from doing it and let those who care do it.
Basically, give a crap about what you do, or don't do it.

Another caution about checklists: Cardboard Conection frequently posts something similar to this with the base set checklist:
"PARALLEL CARDS: Gold Spectrum Prime Jersey #/99 or less, Base Autograph 1/1. Note: Not all subjects are included in each parallel. View the full spreadsheet for specifics."
It's not uncommon for someone to copy the full 200 card base set checklist into the parallel sets just going from the first description, even though the spreadsheet in this case shows 137 and 123, respectively. I've caught quite a few of those in sets with variable SNs while checking out the cards with just the generic SN Note, but who knows how many are still listed in sets where everything is SN1 or SN10; I don't think there is any way to catch those without checking everything set by set.

I hate Panini checklists, we really need to pressure them to release proper checklist data and it would be nice to have it before 10pm the night before release. There's no excuse. Upper Deck probably has the best checklist system, with Leaf also doing well. Topps needs to improve as the spreadsheet they release doesn't detail the parallels or print runs.
