Why would someone generate a Trade List and a Want List and NOT act on a Trade Proposal. On 2 occasions I sent trade proposals. Sent transaction messages to inquire "Accept/Decline". No reply of any kind for 3 weeks. I eventually withdrew and deleted both.
I live in Canada. Both of these members are also Canadian. Should make for an easy trade. One member, after my proposal completed a trade with someone from the US. Feedback also mentions this member is a great communicator. Must be using sign language and I can not see it.
Rant over. Thanks.

Fred, I feel your pain. I just now came across matches to a US member with whom I foresee a potentially fantastic trade, but I never hear back on transactions or emails on previous attempts, yet they seem to connect with others on trades.
Even remarking on messages that I'm open to a counter for whatever reason they deem necessary, and still nothing. Those end up on my No Trade List, though that may be an unneeded redundancy.

As frustrated as I can get at times with these similar instances, I have learned to let them go; I just won't trade with them if they eventually propose their own offer. I have had where some will post in the Forums wanting to trade so send offers only to never hear anything back from them on my proposed trades. They are on my no trade list.

Yes, this situation can be very painful. I like to do bigger trades and always make sure that I have all cards pulled before I send a proposal. There have been times when I found a good trade match with good feedback, constructed a big trade proposal, pulled all the cards(taking well over an hour), sent the proposal and then just got crickets.... no response of any kind. Because of this I will now always send a message first to gauge someone's interest before starting to build a proposal.

I just submitted a new feature tracker idea. I have people on my block list that still show up on my recent matches so I have to go to my blocklist to see if I have blocked them before I propose another trade.
My request was to identify if the member is currently on my blocked transaction/member list on the trade proposal screen so I can continue with the trade if I so desire but at least I will be aware ahead of time I've blocked that person for a reason in the past, don't spend time pulling cards for them.

I have a bunch sitting there with no responses. I usually let them go 2 weeks before deleting. Only thing I can think of is that some of the messages go to their spam folder. I always check my transactions just in case.

Seems to be a recent trend. Used to happen once in a awhile - now like 20% of trade offers go unanswered. Pretty frustrating

Due to this issue, I do not make offers anymore unless the other member ask me to. I sent messages asking. "Maybe we can do a deal." 90% of my matches They have one card for me and I have many for them so they can pick the cards they really want.
For me there is only approx. 280 cards listed FS/FT that I need. One member has approx. 140 of them. Right now, he is not trading/selling as he is working on something big.
Right now, I jump on any cards that I need that shows up in Recent Matches.
Long story short. I have 28 Trading Matches of which I message approx. 18 of them once a month. Asing it they are willing to trade with no replies. The others have replied, and no deals can be done, or we are waiting to do a larger trade.
Yes, it is frustrating that members will not a reply even if it is. "NO Stop asking me."

in some case like me I have no time during the week to pull and I state that in the comments section when you pull up my name. So I do not reply until I get time to pull the cards if you are making an offer to me. Some traders pull them with in a few days. So it cuts both ways.

I see things similar to madballboy. I work 6 days a week. It's fine if some members want to blackball a trade partner because they don't feel they are responsive enough. To each their own. I don't think I would limit myself on potential future trade partners because a member wasn't responding to me quickly enough. Some of us poor working stiffs have limited time.
