I received a package from a trader that was super overly done up with tape. I couldn't for the life of me get into the envelope so grabbed a pair of scissors and proceeded to cut the top of the bubble mailer off--taking the top bit of the cards inside the mailer with it.

As A kid If I didn't like a team I used as a dart board target. Guess I wasn't a bad shot/ I had 2 Gretzky rookies that had no face. alot of other cards had same thing done. But those are the ones that hurt the most.

Probably not taking the majority of my childhood cards with me when I turned 18 and moved out on my own. They ended up getting thrown away. I only ended up keeping a small portfolio with about 40 cards. I try not to think about it ever since I got back into collecting.

I used to use sharpies or pens to correct the team names or position. When Hank went back to the Brewers I figured out I probably should stop doing that.

My wife threw away a 500 count box of my best cards - i think it was somehow in a laundry hamper with our daughter's toys and she thought it was just an empty box.
Had my Schmidt RC, '58 Mays, bunch of other amazing cards. I also had dozens of cards autographed by a bunch of '90s QBs - Marino, Young, Moon, Favre, etc. from when I met them while working on a video game.
Still makes me feel like crying when I think about it‐ which is pretty much every day.

When I was around 9 or 10, I had a toy bow and arrow set (metal-tipped arrows!). Me and some friends decided to line up some of our cards against the backyard fence and use them for target practice. I scored a direct hit on Dave Adlesh's 1968 Topps card, right in the family jewels! Laughed about it for years every time I saw that card.

As a kid, I took a Nate McLouth Topps Attax card in the tub with me. No clue why I thought that was a good idea. The card has still held up to some extent, but you can definitely tell. One thing’s for sure, it’s clean!

Hi,
I busted a Suchard card stored in a cardboard box, a week ago, simply by closing the box.
Happy to say it was a double...

My brother (dreaston on tcdb) and I would use our 83 opc cards as ghost runners in our backyard baseball games. Somehow Johnny Bench got left in the grass and went through the lawnmower. I believe the beat up remains of that card is still around somewhere!

I'm mostly organizing over adding right now.

I knicked the corner of a Jeter RC putting it in a Card Saver. That was the first and last time I used a Card Saver for a valuable Card. Only penny sleeve and top loader for me since.
