Last night I dreamed I opened a pack of 1994 Triple Play (yeah, weird...not on my radar at all) and in the pack was a clear Nolan Ryan autographed 1/1. I woke up kinda crabby that it was a dream. It made me wonder what collecting related dreams you folks have had.

I don't recall any dreams about cards.  But if I had one of Elle MacPhereson from 1989 dressed as an unopened pack...I wouldn't complain.

As an eight year old (before I discovered girls), I spent the entire summer of 1967 trying to get #150 Topps Mickey Mantle from Series 2. I thought I'd never get one. When Series 3 came out and I could no longer find any Series 2, my hope was gone.

Then, later in the summer I had a dream where I found a brand new box of 1967 Topps Series 2 baseball cards in an abandoned railroad car (my dad worked for the railroad). I opened every pack and there was not a single Mickey Mantle card to be found. Definitely a dream of frustration. THe story does have a nice ending, though.

Even though  I never did get to pull a Mickey Mantle from a pack, towards the end of the summer I traded a 1967 Topps Harmon Killebrew (#460)  and a 1967 Topps Bob Clemente (#400) for the Mantle I been looking for. Still have it to this day.

From time to time I've had dreams about cards. Sometimes sorting through them, sometimes getting some sort of super white whale. However I don't remember any specific ones recently. Sometimes I write my dreams down but I don't recall ever wrting down ones that involved cards.

More than a few times I have dreamt of finding antique vintage cards in an attic somewhere.

The only dreams involving cards that I can recall are ones involving forgetting to latch the display cabinet and my 2 year old with markers and scissors. I have sat up straight in bed and gone and looked.

I definitely dreamed about cards recently, but as with ALL my dreams I forget the details within minutes of waking up.
