I've always wanted to visit the Dave & Adams store. It's only an 8ish hour ride away. Too far to do in one day but not impossible...and I have been wanting to get back to Niagara Falls anyway.
The big problem is money...sure, I could could head there any time. But motels, gas and then actually buying stuff in the store , plus having to eat three meals a day due my my medicine, it adds up. And of course I couldn't just go there and come back. I'd have to hit museums and explore on the way.
Ironically this trip was going to happen in 2020. There was a large model show planned to be in Batavia NY in May that year we were going to go to, and we were going to make a side run to Niagara Falls, Dave & Adams, and visit the Jello museum which is one town east of Batavia. But the pandemic put an end to that. Hopefully they will host it there again. The show doesn't stay in one place, this year it was in Latham NY and I just got back from it. It can be as far afield as Maine.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I'd settle for any card shop. I don't think we have had a physical sports card store in New Zealand for15-20 years.
I wouldn't mind getting over to Australia in the near future as they have a few offerings over there.

If you folks ever come through Lincoln, Nebraska, you need to stop at Capital City Sports Cards.
Reasons to stop:
Over a dozen boxes of 2 cent cards to go through. Yes, two pennies per card. This is not junk era stuff either, it's largely modern 2010-present cards.
Over a dozen boxes of 25 cent cards. Tons of inserts and cards that would go for $1-5.
$1 toploaded cards, $2 autos and relics, and then everything up from there. Well-organized and sorted vintage cards, with retail and hobby wax to rip.
Tables and chairs with plenty of space to grab a box to sift through and a free beverage.
Friendly owner who enjoys helping collectors of all ages.

I don't need to go to a card shop, but now Billy has me wanting to go to a Jell-O Museum!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Pretty sure I've bought from Dave & Adam's online before. That's cool that they have a storefront.
The Baseball Card Store (Overland Park, KS) is a seller I follow on eBay. I can't vouch for the storefront personally, but hey, if I'm already going to St. Louis and Lincoln, why not loop in Overland Park? I'm loving this thread.

Mine would be more of a time machine bucket list, where I could go back to First Base Sports Nostalgia Shop in Dallas ca. 1986. Jim Beckett was once co-owner. It was the first shop I ever went into and still the best, even though it has been gone 30 years. It was dark, old, and the entire place smelled like cardboard and stale gum straight out of a pack of 1982 Topps. It was beautiful. They had tons of inventory and you could finish any set, no matter how obscure, and the cards were always in great condition. Collecting was so much simpler then...no graded cards, no high dollar box breaks, no worrying about authenticity of autographs and collectibles. If you finished off the current year Fleer set by summer, you felt like you had accomplished something special.
I don't know of a current card shop on my bucket list, but I would like to get back to the National one day.

I have been to the Baseball Card Store in Overland Park and have enjoyed shopping there and taking to the owner (Scott). He is very knowledgeable and willing to talk.
If you are near Des Moines I have always enjoyed The Rookie in Clive Iowa.
My own bucket list would include Ideal Sports Cards in Hamilton county Ohio. I think they would be a great help in filling my PC of Reds and Bengals.

I love the recommendations on this thread, especially the place in Lincoln, Neb. Next month, I will be in New York. Anybody got a good recommendation in the city or any of the boroughs?
