I have a young toddler in the house so it's always a challenge to keep him away from my cards. The worst damage he's done is to ruin about 300 cards football cards which were in box that he knocked over. Dinged all the corners but they weren't worth much so I gave them all away.

I accidentally threw my 3 most valuable cards at the time away once. Had them in a bag, forgot they were in there, and you can guess what happened. I then went through the trash and got them. They were safe.

When I was a kid my little cousin grabbed my 1980 topps Bench and crumpled it in his hand (I still have it). Bench was my mom's favorite player so I was pretty mad about it.

I had a situation within the last couple of years where my young daughter dropped one of my cards or something and really dinging a corner. Not sure why she had it or i hadnt put it in a top loader yet. I remember it being like a $100 card.
Thing is i remember being like its mroe important her knowing she is more valuable than that card and I held in my frustration. No punishment.. just an aw shucks moment. It was an accident. Not crying over spilt milk type of thing. Funny thing is the card esacpes me know i dont even remember it....
But the Rey Skywalker PC card i accidently half shredded before jamming the shredder with the top loader.... and the connor mcdavid dazzler that flew off my seat and dinged a corner i will remember those vividly becuse i did it.

For me I had a Franco Harris rookie that I had purchased and had in a screw down holder. That was the best protection we had at the time. It ended up getting moisture into it and molded the card.
We do have a member on here that was selling some valuable cards on ebay a while back. he tended to draw beards and moustaches on the cards in his youth. He may read this and chime in?
That's right. I'm calling you out NJDevils!
He is a good member here but I'm not sure if I have heard of anyone else that can top his stories.
