Don't leave the database. Place all the cards you want in a Wantlist, and the cards you have in a Collection. This shouldn't mess up any rankings. Both lists will show up under your Collection.

What Brendan said, you can put the entire site database on your wantlist for purposes of getting it over to your spreadsheet if that's what you want to do.

I think due to the volume of cards people though what are you doing? Now you have answered it I see no problem. There are others here doing the same thing but with a lot fewer cards. Collections with NO want list or FS/FT list.
Yes some members want to be number 1 but with your disclaimer on your profile they should be aware of it.
Putting cards under FS/FT may have people trying to trade or buy or sell.

Look, this is a free-to-use, public website for everyone. As long as you're not breaking site policies, do what you want.
But I am curious, how does adding cards to your collection help with your spreadsheets? I'm not being facetious; it's a genuine question, because it sounds like you may have found an efficient way to do something.

All i was doing was adding all cards from each team to my wantlist, then moving them to my collection. I truly did not mean to piss anyone off. As soon as the site comes back up, i will delete everything that is left and goto a different site. I cant believe you people think you can tell someone how they can use a free database site to catalog their cards. If you add all cards from all teams in the database you get the 3.5m or so I had. I have deleted all I can atm. will remove the rest asap
GOODBYE

it started with puzzlement and turned into a joke. I dont think anyone is worried about how you're using the site as long as you are honest in your trades! This site isnt Guiness official anything, just great community to learn and pad our stats together!
STAY!

I'm mostly organizing over adding right now.

Simple solution is put them in YOUR wanted list since you do not have the cards. Listing cards in YOUR collection is meant for cards you actually have, wanted list for those you do not.

Or in your profile just do not allow other members to see your collection
You get what you want and no one see it

I am legitimately curious, are you just wanting a spreadsheet for all MLB cards to ever exist?
