I'm going on close to 2 years of trading cards and I'm beginning to think my For Sale/Trade inventory is getting a bit wonky..I seem to be finding more and more that I have cards that I can't find but my collection says I have them..And as my OCD kicks in, I'm wondering if anyone has "audited" their For Sale/Trade cards just to verify/confirm what they have? I know it sounds like loads of fun but I'm also thinking I may start working through trade cards just to verify what I do have and to update things..My bigger fear is having for sale/trade cards that aren't listed as such in my Collection but that are actually in with my other FS/Trade cards..
Anyone else done this?

I just had a trade offer for a card that I put into a trade two monthes ago, but the person on the other end of the trade has never akwoneldged rather he got the cards or not. So I guess at some point the DB put those cards back into my For Sale/Trade list. I do hate having to tell someone the cards they are asking for went out in another trade.

Yep, several of us are doing or able to do just that. I most definitely need need to do audit for pretty much the same reasons. I could have sworn I kept my stuff up to date, but lately I e found more and more things off. Sigh....

I did a partial audit recently when I rearranged my traders to match how they’re listed here. I didn’t do my junk era stuff that I have several hundred/thousands of. That was too tedious and they’re not tha popular.

I have been here for a little over 1 1/2 years. A year ago I did an audit becuse of an issue with a trade. Find a cards listed I did not have and cards not list that should have been. I even went through my PC and cleaned it up 6 months ago and find several errors. I sure hope every thing is correct.
Now I verify cards before making an offer and before accepting an offer.

Yes, Bill. See here.
And, obxyankeefan, the system will never put things back on your trade list. If it happened a few weeks ago there was a glitch that wasn't taking them off. Several of us encountered a problem with what you described when that occurred.

Don't get me going! I update my trade list every 6 months. I may be doing it every three months as I am consistently missing cards that are requested in trades. Thankfully my trade/sale isn't all that big. It is a huge pain in the arse though.

I had my trading turned off for 6 months white I did that. I made sure I touched every card on my FS/T list.

I don't want to take the time to go back through my traders but I know there are some cards missing that it says I have . Rather than go through my whole trade list I verify the cards before accepting a trade . If I find a card is missing I counter the trade removing the missing card from the trade and from my trade list . When I offer a trade I pull the cards first before offering . I feel this will save me time in the long run and will work it's way out over time .

All great ideas guys and glad I am not alone on this thinking...
The only thing I won't do is pull cards before a trade..No offense on this one Matt but I've ran into too many people who ignore trade requests lately..I'd rather spend time organizing what I have for trade cards versus pull, no response and then have to put back again..
