I came acros this trading site by accident and after nearly 70 trades I really enjoy it. Thankyou to those responsible for maintaining this site. I would like to know if anyone has suggestions of any other trading sites and their thoughts on those. Thanks.

The first rule of TCDB is you don’t talk about other trading sites ;) Seriously though this is the first one I found and I haven’t branched out. I know I’ve seen some other guys mention some others. Personally I’m hesitant because it seems like a lot of work to add my wants and traders to another site.

I have dabbled in some facebook sites a bit. Some have resulted in a couple of trades and some good people. Many haven't worked out too well. This is assuming you are like myself and prefer to trade. Many of the facebook sites are mainly comprised of sellers trying to avoid ebay fees. Some sites are even trade only sites but they have members that will work with you off the site and try to sell to you. All that is fine if you want to buy. This site has been the most useful for me to trade to get my collection more like what I want.

This was the first site I found and I love it. Why bother with other sites when you're already at The Best One.

I started my Facebook page to try to avoid Ebay fees on sales, but I did make one trade with a friend who collects and is not a part of TCDB - even though I've told him about it. So, basically, I'm a TCDBer wholeheartedly. I found this inadvertently and have come to love it. I am almost to 300 trades since I joined in late 2016. I don't even want to go anywhere else. (Not that it's a bad thing, just that I'm fully satisfied with filet mignon.)

I can see reasons why you would want to look elsewhere. At some point you might still be looking for a few cards that you can't find in trade here so it's nice to have a few other trade resources.

New to the hobby peroid but the first thing I see that I think needs to be here is when you click on a person to see their profile is has a link straight to their for sale cards... say Sportzcommish has a nice rapport and a pretty big for sale list... Id like to be able to go straight there and buy the cards like a store..

I don't do much specific small card for card trades anymore. I'm mostly team lots trades and blog trades and the occasional random act of cardness surprise gift giving or receiving. I get most of my cards through purchases Ebay, Sportlots, MY LCS and bloggers. I don't do trading on Twitter or Facebook which are trending places to do trades. For me I guess it is sort of an ethical thing. I don't like mixing my social media with my hobby.
Before I came here one of the first sites I came across around 2007 was TCC (Trading Card Central) over there now I mostly just participate in some of the group box breaks, which was something I got hooked on over there. I took a few years off of the breaks because of the costs of the breaks and drain on the finances, but got back into some of them. I also frequent a site that was sort of a spinoff of TCC (at a time when TCC looked like it was going to be joining the website grave yard that other site is Trading Card Zone (TCZ) now days I don't do much there except look for updates, occasional chats and posting my mail-days (I haven't done that since May and am in the process of catching up). Finally I am part of a football team traders group over at SCF (Sports Card Forum) those trades are the basic team for team trades.

I collect: Baseball, Football, Hockey, Mostly Vintage pre1980, My Homie teams - Washington/Baltimore Teams Senators (Twins, Rangers), Expos/Nationals, Redskins, Capitals, Bullets/Wizards - HOFers - Non-sport (mostly TV shows and movies). My Trade List is very much a work in progress CaptKirk42s Trading Card Blog Curly W Cards Strive For '65 YouTube klandersen42

Not sure what else you need that is not already there. A member's profile has if he is active on the site (last log in), the number of cards in his collection, a feedback profile that gives you a good idea of character, and best of all, you can match your want list to his for sale/trade list to see if he is a compatible trade partner.
Of course, this means you need to build a want list. But if too lazy to do that, you can go into his collection, scroll down to his for sale/trade list and see what he has that he is willing to part with.
What more do you want?

Cool beans I don't feel like looking around. I've never been to another trading card site and I've only been to this one 10 times. I like it the database is awesome.
