I've had a Luis Robert Auto Redemption from Topps Chrome up for several months. I just got an offer for $325.00. Researching it looks like one sold for $750 OBO on 12/7. Am I missing something that happened in the last couple of weeks. Outside of that one, $325 sounds like a good offer. Would you sell it for that price? Thanks in advance.

Admittedly I don't follow that market at all but a quick look confirms that does seem relatively a fair offer. That $750 one was the BIN price but the seller accepted a lower offer so we don't know how much he accepted at. That said, might have a little room for more as people get their stimulus checks. Personally I'd have a hard time not taking the sure thing if I was selling

You used to be able to roughly determine how much the best offer was if you sorted by price. The system would sort by the best offer price accepted not the price in the listing.

You can go to https://130point.com/ and can usually see what the best offer accepted is on an item. My search yielded results for mostly $300-400. I do see the one you referenced on 12/7 that was $750, it shows that the offer on it was $600. Most of the base ones like yours was in the $300-400 range though, so the offer sent to you sounds fair.

I usually try to think what the card will be 5 years from now. This guy is a young talent but so few live up to the hype. Take the money and run.

As I tell my kids, Dad Advice:
My "rule of thumb" is to counteroffer. As a buyer, I never lead with my best offer/price. I try and make it a reasonable offer but make it 10-15% less than what I'm really willing to pay. Of course there's a slight difference between $3 cards and $300 cards.
Glad you got a price you're happy with.

That is good advice, but it honestly shocks me how little people are willing to negotiate on eBay. If you don't accept some people's offers, they just won't respond or outright decline you. It is very frustrating because, like you say, I assume people don't make their top offer right off the bat.
