I had two big hits at my LCS years ago. The first was a Ryan Leaf 1998 Topps Auto and then a year later, a 1999 Pat Burrell Bowman Gold Chrome Refractor. The owner offered me $100 for the Leaf and $200 for the Burrell. Being the shrewd business person I am, I turned down both offers because I was going to hold out for the big bucks after they entered their respective HOFs.

I think you made the right choice.

At least Burrell had success at the professional level. 

Thanks guys. I knew I could count on TCDB. I missed the $500 window when Chrome came out but I've had it up since for $395 with no action. I'm happy with $325.

I had a PSA 10 Altuve for $85. No action and I think it sold when he hit the game winning home run in the playoffs against the Yankees before the ball landed. Next morning they were going for $135.

I had 7 PSA 10 Mike Trouts. I sold 4 for $600 each when that was top dollar. I don't lose any sleep over it but I have done the math.
