I'm new to this group. I was wondering about the checkboxes on the trade page. I was assuming this was to check cards off when I receive them?

From reading the other comments, I think the common denominator is communicate before mailing. If someone enjoys the thrill of sorting and plugging into their collection, you could save yourself a lot of time. If not, now you know their preference.
I do agree that the "tip" to include transaction ID should be changed to "definitely do this". I'm relatively new here, and about 10 trades in I had a mishap with shipping to the wrong location. Had I included the transaction ID, the resolution would have been much simpler.

Correct Brett. Makes for good check off when verifying your cards to trade are pulled and then verifying your cards received in the mail. Very handy tool.

I use it when I pull the cards so most of the cards should be in that order. When I can not find a card (right away) They may go on top of the pile when I find them.
I have very few trades that are more then 5 cards. As my cards are not really organized it helps a lot so it is not that bad for me.

I'm with Sandy. It's not hard to sort the cards before trading. It's just common courtesy. No, it won't take that long to sort 30-40 cards, but someone has to sort it, and common courtesy dictates that it should be the person sending.
I won't put anyone on a no-trade list or anything if the cards aren't sorted. But it is a red flag to me that that person may take shortcuts in other aspects of trading that are more important -- like double checking to make sure you pulled the right cards, packaging, etc.
It just comes down to thinking about your trading partner. As a great Book once said: "Trade with others as you would have them trade with you."

I personally don't mind unsorted cards or ID-less trades. I'm not a high volume trader, mind you, but it's easy enough for me to compare the cards I got with a transaction in the queue. As for disorganized cards, truthfully, I like organizing the cards once I get them so that I can look at each of them again and appreciate someone else's thoughtfulness in sending them at all.
Since there's been enough interest in having it, I've gotten into a rhythm of putting an ID number in my envelopes in case someone else needs them. I don't get upset if someone forgets or chooses not to do so. I also don't think it's a 'red flag' if someone doesn't sort cards or put an ID on a trade... it sounds a lot like 'sweating the small stuff' and one can easily dismiss certain site members who would otherwise be a fine and consistent trade partner. Don't forget that this is for fun, everyone.

If I may rib Bruno. Do you have a specific loading plan for 9-pocket pages?

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

18 cards is not an issue though why people put them back to back is beyond me. Every time I pull the two cards in one pocket out, I have to flip one over. Why not just put the first 2 cards in the transaction in pocket one facing the same way, 3 & 4 in pocket 2, and so on. I don't look at the card in the page so who cares if it is the back showing. I pull all the cards out first, then start checking them off the TM list.
I think some people missed the point in my original post - if you organize them in the order they show up on the list in the transaction, you will quickly pick up on any error you might have made. The trade I referred to was 18 cards and though it was the right number of cards, I ended up with a duplicate and missing one card I was supposed to have. You all hate when you open two packs and get duplicates - what would you think if you got it in every trade.

I always put the transaction # on the back of the envelope but a lot of times I don't what the cards I get because a lot of people don't put the transaction # and it gets me upset
